Thanks a bunch Kirsten!!
I have found that this is the easiest place to use coupons. They accept so many competitor coupons and have never questioned anything. All managers and sales associates I have dealt with have been beyond friendly and helpful. I just wish they carried more of the booklets I hear about all the time.

Wow! This Publix accepts CVS & Walgreens coupons?!!! I shop at this Publix on occasion. Last I asked, my regular store on the North side of Jacksonville (by the airport) would not accept these. Does this mean they will accept CVS/Walgreens’ newspaper store coupons? I am new to this website, but will send Michelle my store (not currently listed) and competitors as soon as I double check with customer service at my store again. Thanks!

I would also love to know what Jennifer is asking… I normally shop at the northside one (by the airport) and I was also recently told there that they no longer accept expired Publix coupons…and I had never had a problem with those… wondering if Town Center Publix still accepts expired Publix coupons because I would seriously start driving down there more often to use all the allowed competitor’s coupons + publix + mfg coupons! That’s awesome and would totally be worth the drive!
I had NO idea Publix would take expired Publix coupons at any store?!?! WOW!

To Gigi – I’ve since clarified with customer service at the Duval Station Publix (by the airport) that they DO accept CVS & Walgreens coupons as long as they are for a specific $$ off (e.g. – $1.00 off product X) rather than a coupon for a sale price (e.g. – $2.99 for product y). They also do not accept CVS ECB’s or Walgreens RR. Make sense? I think this is becoming more and more common across the board at Publix stores.
For THIS store (at the Town Center)…I just called and spoke with customer service to confirm Whole Foods IS considered a competitor (they are NOT at the Duval Station one). This is GREAT news for me and will definately be worth the trip and here’s why…
I found a FABULOUS Whole Foods coupon for $10 off a $40 purchase!!!!! I described this specific coupon to the customer service person on the phone and they said as long as the coupon is used by the date on the coupon, they will take it. WOW!!! This alone would make the trip sooooooo worthwhile.
I will send Michelle the specifics for this Whole Foods coupon and where to find it under separate cover so she can post it to everyone.
Happy Couponing!

Okay, just left the store tonight and was VERY much hassled and given a hard time about my coupons (esp. the Whole Foods ones) even after showing the customer service rep and confirming I could use it BEFORE putting a single item in my shopping cart. This wasn’t the first time I was met with unfriendliness at this store. A few of the girls working the customer service counter almost seemed irritated at my questioning the coupon policy, asking for rainchecks, etc. My policy is kill them with kindness, but still frustrating. They made me feel like a criminal and I was completely honest.

UPDATE: I dropped by this Publix to pick up a few things since I was on this side of town. Apparently things have changed again. I spoke with CS…
–No expired Publix Q’s accepted
–NO drug store coupons accepted (e.g. CVS, Walgreens)
–NO Whole Foods Qs’
WILL accept:
–Target
I no longer have any motivation for shopping at this Publix.
My Publix at Duval Station is still the best IMO.

I have to agree with Jennifer this is the most coupon UN-friendly Publix I have ever been to. I always get hasselled and lectured when I go there and either ask for a rain check or try to use coupons. When you ask for a raincheck they make you wait until they can search the aisle to make sure the product is not on the shelf then they physically search the stockroom to see is they have the product. When all else fails they begrudingly give you a rain check all the while mumbling under their breath. The last time I asked for a rain check I timed them. It took them 23 minutes to give me a rain check and I was on my lunch hour!!! I was furious. I would ask anyone that encounters their bad attitude to call the home office and make a complaint. They are out of control over there.

Called October 2013. They are accepting Target and Winn-Dixie coupons as competitors currently.
