I am in central FL where we don’t get the mystery penny item or coupon doubling 🙁 … so, I was not expecting to get the buy theirs get ours.. but, YEAH! they had a special circular in the store with it on the back. However, ours is for special k cereal or bars or Quaker granola. As luck would have it, I had been cleaning out my coupons and found 2 special k cereal $1 off q’s that I happened to bring along!!
I was quite pleased with my $85 spent (incl tax) / $102 saved, and almost did not check my receipt… when I did later that day… the register had not auto-deducted the Publix brand, so I went back to the store to get the refund. I was told the register prompts the cashier to do the deduction but that she probably didn’t know about it.
