I told you how to get FREE or super cheap ziplocs HERE.
John found another great deal on food storage bags-this time it is Hefty Fresh Extend Bags. He noticed that the Hefty Fresh Extend Bags 20 count box are on Advantage Buy for $2.00
If you do the following the bags are FREE or super cheap!
-use $1/1 Hefty Blinkie or $1/1 Hefty OneZip Fresh Extend Bags Q from 06-07-09 RP
-plus $1/1 Target IP ($1 off wyb Hefty Fresh Extend bags 20 ct and produce item) HERE
-plus Produce item–John bought one lime for $.33
He was able to get the storage bags and a lime for a whopping $.33 OOP
If you are buying produce you might as well throw in some FREE bags 🙂 If you don’t need produce there are TONS of produce items that you can throw in to pay mere pennies (one jalapeno, one snow pea pod, really anything that you can buy by the pound)
Awesome find John!!
What is the count on the bags?
oops I will fix it –it is a 20 ct box
Can you use this Hefty deal at Publix?
Am I understanding this process correctly: You use the IP $1.00 (& 1 produce item) from Target and then get the $1.00 blinkie or $1.00 6/7/09 RP and you purchase the one item of produce?
I’m new at this so I need help. Plus, my Publix are always giving me hassles for using more than one coupon per item.
Steph,
If your Publix accepts Target coupons as competitors then yes, you can use a Target Q and a MQ on the same item. So you’d get one box of bags, one item of produce, use 2 Qs and get both items for the cost of the produce.
What you may want to do when you get the store is ask a mgr. or at cust. svc if they take Target Qs as a competitor (some do, some don’t) and ask, “so I can combine that with a manufacturer’s coupon just as if it were a Publix coupon, right?” That way if the cashier hassles you, you can name the person that just told you that it was acceptable.
Are the hefty blinkie coupons available now on the aisle or was that something I would have already had to collect?
Yep–AmyC is correct this deal only works if your store accepts Target as a competitor.
Anita–the blinkies are still up at the Publix I visited this morning.
If your Publix doesn’t accept target Qs, and you are near a Super Target, you can get a slightly better deal:
-use $1/1 Hefty Blinkie or $1/1 Hefty OneZip Fresh Extend Bags Q from 06-07-09 RP
-plus $1/1 Target IP ($1 off wyb Hefty Fresh Extend bags 20 ct and produce item)
-plus Produce item – one lime at SuperTarget is also $.33
What makes it a better deal at Target is that the bags are on temporary price cut to 1.87……so base price is even cheaper than Publix!
Oh…..and yes, the blinkie machine is still up at my Publix…..so I stop there first to pick up some blinkies on my way to SuperTarget.
The Target coupon I see says $1 off 2 bags, not one. I checked the price at my store, is 1.79 on Advantage Buy. 1.79 x 2 = 3.58-2 MCs-1 Target IP= .58 Am I missing something? Free sounds so much nicer!
Jessica
The coupon is not $1/2 bags–it is listed that way b/c you have to buy the bags AND produce –so it is $1 off two items 🙂 Just make sure you purchase some produce as the 2nd qualifier and you are good to go!
Okay, so I tried this just now and it worked. My Publix has the Hefty 3/$5.00 (making them $1.66 each). I used the Target coupon $1.00 and then RP $1.00 (which I had 2 of) and then pulled out 3 blinkies nearby. I purchased all types of hot peppers and paid no more than $.22 for any produce item. I MADE $$$$
I had to buy some Pediasure ($6.89 – had a coupon) and some buns $1.19. My total should have been over $20.00 and I paid $8.48…. I’m going back for more bags since I found a cashier that knows what he’s doing. Thank you so much!
Now I just need to find some Ziploc coupons since I didn’t have the RP ad from 5/3/09.
p.s. my store only had the 12 count boxes, but they were still free!!!!
The Target Q is for the 20 count so it’s not a match to the 12 ct box.
yes–guys please be careful and look at any size requirement to ensure the coupon is a match 🙂
