I really did not do very much shopping this week. I feel like it has been forever since I stepped into a store–I went to CVS on Sunday and Publix on Monday. There was not a ton that we needed from the past ad and I don’t think I will be doing any major stock ups this coming week either! Maybe a great deal will pop up! This week I spent $23.62 OOP for $195.41 worth of products. My savings percent this week is 88% savings. I will be getting a $10 Publix gift card from the ConAgra MIR and a $2.50 MIR for the DiGiorno Flatbread. My totals should have been better but I was told as I was paying that I could no longer use Walgreens Register Rewards…so my OOP was higher than I had anticipated. While I realize my total was great. Had I know ahead of time, I would have broken my one transaction into multiple transactions to use several $3/25. Oh well–I am still proud of my weekly totals!
This is what I purchased this week:
Hunts Ketchup X 15
Bertolli Sauce X 8
Klondike Bars X 2
Nestle Tollhouse Cookies X 2
Fruit Snacks X 10
Dole Pineapple canned X 4
Wise Cheez Doodles X 1
Digiorno flatbread melt X 1
Kraft Chunk Cheese X 6
Hallmark cards X 4
Pillsbury Pie Crust x 1
Organic Valley Milk x 1
Deli Ham X 1/3 lb
Penny Item-Publix Cheese X 1
Bertolli Frozen Meal X 1
Fresh Express Salad X 1
Onions X 1 lb
Loaf of Bread X 1
South Beach Bars X 4
Watermelon X 1
Huggies Diapers* X 9
Coke 12 packs* X 4
*CVS items–I also purchased 2 Contour Diabetes Monitors but they would inflate my totals and since I donate these I have not included them in my weekly totals! CVS purchases are paid with ECB’s and thus create no OOP.
How did you do this week?
I love the fact that you used this statement in your weekly total listing,” but they would inflate my totals” I hate when sites inflate thier totals to get a better reading of percentage!! I am super glad you put this in your comment section about your trip!!!
WTG on the awesome OOP trip!!! I am impressed.
Do you have a CVS blog as well? That would be awesome!
I am working on my new blog–I hope to have it up and running by July. It will cover more stores (including the drugstores), general deals and lots of freebies. I want to have it done completely before I unveil it since maintaining both sites will keep me busy!
I love this site…I didn’t do a ton this week, but was able to get an awesome hot dog deal thanks to our Publix matching Albertson’s B1G2 meat deals!
Is this all in one transaction? 15 bottles of ketchup! Wow!
So, at publix if I get 20 boxes of Wheat Thins when they are BOGO and I have 20 $1/1 Wheat Thins coupons, I can do that all in one transaction?
Sorry, I’m three weeks new to couponing and trying to master publix by learning their rules! hehe!
Hey Tassie
Welcome!! Yes ma’am Publix will sell you as many items as you care to buy and you can use a coupon for each item (actually you can use a manufacturer coupon AND a Publix coupon (or compeitor) coupon PER item!)
If you need a very large amount of a product –you may consider having your store order that amount for you so as not to wipe the shelf! Other shoppers as well as the grocery manager will appreciate that 🙂
Oh! That is so great! Thanks for the information!
Thank you for that tip about letting the manager order for you. I would certainly do that. And I have to say I wish our Publix in FL would double coupons, price match competitors and let you buy one item instead of 2 for BOGO sales. All they let us do is use competitor coupons.
Do you know if they do that in AL? We live close to the state line.
