I actually did quite a bit of shopping this week. I went to Publix on Monday and today. I also did a little shopping at Kroger, Target and Walgreens this week to take advantage of some deals and “roll” some Register Rewards. I am very pleased with my totals this week as I feel like I really got tons of stuff and really got the most bang for my buck! My total out of pocket this week was $34.93. A bit on the high side for me as I like to keep my OOP between $20-$30. I am not upset as I was able to get over $220 worth of products! My saving percentage this week is approximately 85%. After all that shopping, I still have a $5 Target Gift card for future use and $13 in Register Rewards that I will use at some point in the next two weeks. I will also send in my receipt to Caregivers Marketplace and get $2.25 back for the Huggies. I do not deduct any MIR’s, Register Rewards, gift cards, etc. earned shopping from my weekly totals. Those are just perks that help to reduce future shopping trips OOP 🙂
I took the boys to do some berry picking yesterday and I have been going back and forth whether I should include the amount spent at the farm as part of my grocery budget or take it from my entertainment budget. I have decided that I am pulling the funds from the entertainment budget as it was a scheduled playgroup outing and my main focus was letting the boys have fun with their friends. I spent over $12 at the farm yesterday–I know I could have most likely got the berries and other produce much cheaper using coupons and the $2/5 produce FLIP– but life is not always about clipping and saving! Yesterday was all about having fun–so I am not including those items in my list! Here is what I managed to bring home this week for $34.93 OOP:

Hi Michelle!
I have a huge favor…. I would love to see your coupon usage on your weekly total. I am so impressed at the money you save and I would one day like to do the same. I know that you are super busy and that would be very time consuming, but I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!
I agree with Emilis! I am so surprised by your totals and though I have been learning the ropes and am thrilled with what I have been able to save so far, I can never come close to you!! Did you do all of this with Double coupons? I live in FL and they don’t double here (with the exception of the recent Kmart doubling days). I am interested to know how it works in other states though? Do certain stores, double all your coupons, on certain days, or is it every day? And do you have to tell them to do it, or does it just do it automatically? I know it doesn’t make a difference for me, but I am just curious/nosy. Thanks for your blog, I just got back from publix and my total before coupons/sales would have been 143.55 but after coupons (45.95) and sales savings (49.28) my total was 48.32! Which like I said does not come close to you, but I can’t complain about saving $95.23!! 😀
Whoo Hooo!!! Just spent $22 dollars and saved $58.00! Thanks so much.. Love your site!
