I have received several emails and even a few requests from different Publix stores so I thought it might be a good time to post a little reminder.
You guys know that I post as many match ups as I can possibly find for the sale items each week. I also post any corresponding competitor coupons that I can find. Please remember that you are only allowed to use ONE manufacturer and ONE store coupon per item purchased. The store coupon can either be a competitor coupon OR a Publix store coupon.
Please be sure to ask your store who they consider a competitor…each store will vary! If your store does not consider Target a competitor then you will not be allowed to use a Target coupon at that store!
I have had first hand experience that a few can spoil it for many. There are so many fantastic deal possibilities that can be done honestly–there just isn’t a need to be dishonest 🙂 If you are ever in doubt about a coupon or a deal scenario–ASK!! Publix has WONDERFUL customer service and they would be happy to help any way they can!
Thanks for the heads-up! I think a lot of people are confused about this, not trying to be dishonest. My Publix actually will take all three on one item, but I don’t do it b/c it doesn’t feel right to me.
Mine takes all three as well. A publix, Manufacturers and competitor. It’s great when diapers are on sale!
does anyone know what happened to the pork coupons??? i need some….
When you say use two coupons per item… you mean you can use two diffetent coupons on one item? And get it even cheape than with one item????
I meant get it cheaper than with only one coupon??? I am new to this and I loved it yesterday getting 4 boxes of the Muellers pasta for $1.58!!!!! I am hooked and find this is my new hobby!
Terri
You can use one Manufacturer coupon and one store coupon (or competitor coupon) per item to reduce the cost of an item. You cannot use TWO manufacturer coupons on one item…some people are trying to use multiple MQ’s and that is a NO NO!!
It really does become a hobby…or according to my husband –an obsession 😉
So do you work for Publix then?
Thanks for pointing this out. A lot of sites don’t publish these types of reminders and a lot of the stores are getting extremely hesitant about taking coupons. My Publix stores have stopped taking most of the target/food lion coupons due to a few bad apples but there are still tons of bargins to be had and I am just greatful they take coupons!!!
Thanks again Michelle for running one of the best websites out there next to HCW!
No Bailey –I do not work for Publix–just love to shop there and want Publix to continue to be coupon friendly 🙂
I didn’t know that they considered competitors coupons as store coupons…dang I have missed out. I thought only publix coupons were considered store coupons. Thanks for the heads up on that Michelle!!!
When I was using a competitor and a MFC on an itme in the express lane, the cashier said she did not think I could use both. She was new. She called over the manager who said yes and infact I could use THREE coupons if I had them: one being a MFC, Competitor, and a Publix Q. I said “thanks for the tip!” Always check with your store first. Mine is very nice.
I’ve spoken to management at all three of my stores so that I could be clear on their individual policies, and all three of mine will take three coupons, mq, publix q, and competitors q on one item. I agree with Michelle just ask at customer service and they will let you know what their individual policy is. Just a heads up some publix stores will take expired publix coupons, my stores however do not, so it might be worth it to ask them their policy on this also.
On BOGO items I am pretty sure you can us 2 Manufacturer’s and 2 store or competitor’s coupons.
yes curlygoldlocks you can use ONE manufacturer and ONE store coupon per item purchased –BOGO is still a purchase.
🙂 FANTASTIC DEAL!!!!
