After a lengthy questionnaire, I learned the Classico coupon is over 🙁
I just tried the link to the Classico site for the coupon and got a message that the campaign is over.
Oops, didn’t see Jenna’s post.
There is a coupon for .75/1 Fiber One Toaster Pastries from the Fiber Sample Coupon packet, if you signed up for the fiber one cereal/ granola bar sample
Other than a couple freebies (if I have the right coupons!), it looks like a pretty slow week for me.
My shopping trip Sunday I spent $40 and saved $101. I would have spent less except I bought a Cooking Light magazine that I saw was $10.99 when I got home (I did use a $1/off coupon on it). I think it was a special edition because it only has chicken recipes, which will be good for me since I have so much chicken in the freezer!! I bought 54 items so even with the magazine it broke down to $.70 per item. I was able to get the money maker on the progresso soup/crescent rolls, at least $14 overage. So I think good deals all around. I also have to pick my cashiers strategically so I don’t get the one that won’t let me do the money makers. I did see two ladies that had serious coupons like me (I just graduated up to a zip up binder). It is like a little club.
Hi! Does anyone know if the Breyer’s BOGO will count as $10 or $5 towards the Unilever $15 minimum? Thanks!
Figured out a hard to pass up deal for those of you who need to add to your side dish stock pile or for those who love to donate like myself. Buy 20 Knorr side dishes…Cost 14.90. Minus 20 -.45/1 coupons to bring it down to $5.90. Use 1 $5.00 off $15.00 Unilever coupon to get all 20 packs of Knorr side dishes for .90!!!!!!!!!! Since my store is SUPER cool I don’t think that they will stroke out over the 10 cent difference but if you think your store will just grab another bag (or two if you have true bogo) and add an additional -.45 coupon ( add 2 more -.45 coupons if you have true bogo)and get 21 or 22 of them for $1.49-1.94.
I in NO WAY need anymore side dishes but since the Thanksgiving holiday is just around the corner I am going to be doing this deal for sure since I KNOW there are many, many, many families who will be in need and who will feel very blessed to recieve them.
Also, for those of you who do donate a lot like myself you can pre-order your knorr side dishes (or any items you want to buy in bulk) at customer service that way it does not deplete the shelves for others.
Anyways, HAPPY SHOPPING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4-got to add….if you have true bogo like I do you can down size this deal and purchase only 10 because of the way it rings up or if you go for the 20 you can use 2 of the -5/15 Unilever coups. Doing this will make them all free with about 3.00 overage if your store allows. EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!
The Store manager at my Publix in Birmingham, Al (Valleydale Rd. and Caldwell Mill) informed me on weekly trip this Sunday that they are no longer accepting competitors’ coupons. She took them this week. BTW: I spend $39.24 for $176.37 worth of groceries(total savings $137.13).
Anyone here shop in Birmingham, AL? Where? Do they take competitors’ coupons?
I shop at the Hueytown & McCalla Publix outside of Birmingham and have had no trouble. HTH!
Kristy – I, too, shop at the Hueytown Publix and they are by far the most liberal with taking competitor coupons. Hoover on Hwy 150 takes Target, but not Rite Aid. McCalla told me they do not take ANY competitor coupons and I have had trouble getting them to take multiples of their own coupons – like in the One Stop One Store booklet and the Advantage Buy Flyers. Have you had any problems shopping with them? Maybe its just me!
I was told yesterday by a cashier that some of the cashiers wouldn’t double coupons. That if it states on the coupon not to double or triple, that they wouldn’t do it. I have been using coupons for a few weeks and haven’t heard of this. Has anyone else run into this??
The Publix on (Valleydale Rd. and Caldwell Mill) North Shelby County to be exact will Double coupons 50 cents and under. They also will let you double stack, but not triple. I might have pushed the limit last weekend by trying to use a $4.00 PetCo coupon and Multiple $5 of $25 rite-aid coupons.
Every Publix I have shopped at the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area automatically doubles in the system if it is .50 or less. The cashier didn’t have control of it, I didn’t think.
THE PUBLIX THAT I HAVE ALWAYS USED,IN LILBURN,GA. CHANGED THEIR POLICY AND WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT RITE-AID,TARGET,OR FOOD LION.THEY WILL ONLY TAKE KROGER,WAL MART OR THEIR OWN.BIG BUMMER.THE MANAGER SAID SHE EXPECTS THE OTHER STORES TO FOLLOW SUIT.
For the person who asked about the cashier who said they wouldn’t double the coupons — the register does that automatically. They’d have to manually punch the coupon amount in for it not to double.
The last three Publix that I have gone to have said they no longer take Target coupons. I have 2 in Plant City, FL and one in Lakeland, FL. I asked when they changed their policy and they said it has been that way for awhile. They took my coupons but had to manually enter them. The register would not scan them in.
I’m in Middle Georgia… one of my favorite Publix managers explained to me that our stores all received clarification from corporate on the competitor coupon programs. He said they are now limited by the distance between stores. I don’t remember the exact mileage, but it wasn’t that far. Each store also has a lot of variance in what they will accept… for instance, one of our stores no longer accept printed Food Lion or Target coupons, but will accept their newspaper coupons. My favorite store is no longer allowing overages… honor system mostly. Still great deals to be deals to be had!!!
My store has changed their competitor coupon policy lately, too. They will only take local stores…Target, Kroger, and Ingles (within 5 miles of their location). Also, no pharmacy coupons for grocery & household items, only pharmacy items, so CVS, Wallgreens and RiteAid are out for anything other than those products. I’ve rarely used anything but Target and Kroger anyway, so not a big impact on me personally. As long as they still double and allow stacking MQ and PQ’s (and competitors!), I’m good. My store also allows overage, as long as you have other purchases to cover it.
I live in Middle Ga too and I only shop at the Bass Rd. store and the mgr there (Mike)is awesome and he said he will take whatever coupons I have as long as they are not fake (i.e. photocopied). They are supposed to go by the mileage thing but he is very “customer service” oriented and will bend over backwards to make you happy!! I LOVE Publix!!! BTW there is a $2 off milk WYB any 2 Kellogs cereals Q out there that is a man. Q so it can be stacked with the free milk Q since it is a Publix Q and you can make $2 on each free gallon of milk!!!!!!
Marie….I live in Birmingham, too. I shop the Hwy 31 Hoover location and the Vestavia location. Both will only take Grocery Store competitor coupons. Nothing from Walgreen’s or Rite Aid or CVS. Sometimes they won’t take Target printables either.
Has anyone found the Bertolli Olive Oil Q in the 9/13 SS? I’ve looked thru all 3 of my 9/13 SS inserts & I don’t have that Q in them!!
Liz, I went to my store in Bethlehem, GA on Saturday night and they no longer double if it says Do Not Double. They just upgraded their computers and the computer will not allow the cashier to double it. My receipt says “Bonus Coupon Suppressed” for every one that has that printed on it. I spoke to one of the managers and she said it is a policy from the corporate office. It cost me about $10 because these were not doubled.
I just found out about this site and this is my second week of doing this. I shopped on Sunday and bought a little over $200 of groceries for $105. Not bad for my first time. I do have a question…..I receive a free Pulix ad in a free local paper but it is different than the ad that comes out in the Sunday paper (which is for the sale that started the Wed. before). I can’t get the Publix ad Q’s until the Sunday paper comes out. Where and how does everyone get the Publix ad with the Q’s in it before Sunday?
Linda – the ads are out in the stores the day the sale starts. Also, in our area, the local newspaper on Wednesday, the day the sales start here, has the sales flyer in it. This site posts a “sneak peek” at the ad usually by Monday for the sale starting Wednesday. Hope that helps.
Okay, I’m going to be a complete ninny here, but how do you guys get 20 (or 22) coupons for the Knorr sides?
does anyone know if the Ronzoni Healthy Harvest pasta is included in the sale?
What is the Art Calendar Q? How do I get one for next year, assuming that is not possible to get them for the remainder of this year?
Laura- either multiple computers/printers, or after printed coupons, try hitting the back button on your browser twice….everyonce in a while it will work on my computer. If not, I have acess to up to 4 printers, and 8 computers. So, Im spoiled. lol.
Laura-Don’t feel like a “ninny” I’ve asked the same question before! But,no one has ever answered me! I too wonder how in the world people r getting that many IP’s & clippable one’s as well!! I buy 2 papers when I know there’s gonna b some good Q’s,but 20??!! I even have some friend’s that give me the Q’s they aren’t gonna use,but I still don’t ever have 20 or even close!! So,I couldn’t tell u!!But,I’d sure like to know!!
Laura & Georgia
There are MANY ways to get multiple coupons. IP’s or printables: generally you can print two per computer–I have access to 4 different computers here at my house…so that is EIGHT I can print if I feel like it. If I get my friends and family to print I could possibly get 50 more if I really wanted them. There was a really hot Huggies IP a while back and my mom sent a request to her office requesting prints for me–she sent me 30 coupons (meaning that 15 people at her office printed for me) SO–it is doable 🙂
As for insert coupons…many of us get multiple papers and by multiples I mean 20+. I have access to free neighborhood papers and generally can get a bundle which is 25 newspapers. You can also buy multiples from clipping sites or trade for them. There are lots of ways to get lots of coupons–you just have to decide the best way for you (with the least out of pocket!) If you can get 30 coupons on ebay for $1.50 shipped and it yields you $20 of Free products then that is a wise spending of $1.50 in my book. Just an example of course…
Kimberly- Thank you! That is what the cashier said. I thought it was Publix policy to double (at least in GA) and now it is being limited to certain ones. I guess I will just have to pay more attention to which ones can be doubled and which can’t. =S
I can not print the knorrs side coupons. Is anyone else having trouble with this or any advice
Also wondering about the Publix art calendar? Would love to get one for next year.
Laura & Georgia– I was wondering the same thing until recently. I was googling coupons like the .50 off of tea and found that people list them on ebay. I bought a stack of 20 for $2. That is $20 worth of coupons and since my area didn’t print the .50 one.. it was definitely worth it to get them from someone else. =)
I found $1/1 peelies on the Carbona Glass Ceramic Oven Top Cleaner that there is a BOGO on right now – so that turned out to be a great deal for something you never think about buying.
My Publix is in Jupiter, FL
Thanks for all your hard work!
There was a $0.55/2 coupon for Fresh exspress salad blends in the 10/4/09 SS.
Hello all. I noticed a few posts above that people were having issues with the Classico IP Q. I tried this link, http://www.classico.com/registration/registerb.aspx and it worked for me. I got 2 Q’s.
Hi there guys, every human situations have their ups and downs. We feel those of the present but neither see or feel those of the future; and hence we often make troublesome changes without amendment, and often for the worst. HAPPY NEW YEAR
