Many of you have emailed me expressing disappointment that your paper does not have the coupons I list in the match ups. I know it is frustrating but I try hard to get the match ups done ASAP so that you have a chance to get what you may need!
Even if your paper did not get a certain coupon–you still have options!!
I was bummed that I did not have the $.50/1 Vanity Fair napkin coupon in my inserts! After a quick visit to Ebay– I now have 15 coupons headed to my mailbox and it only cost me $1.50 from my Paypal account! Now I will be able to replenish my napkin supply and I was able to use my “monopoly money” as payment! Remember I told you that I do surveys and mystery shops which earns me money that is deposited into my Paypal account!
You could also try a coupon clipping site–I just checked and The Coupon Clippers have both of the Rachael Ray coupons (Publix & MQ) on their site!! Sometimes it makes sense to buy* coupons! If you spend $5 for coupons that will save you $50 on something you use it may be a good trade off! *You are paying the clipping site for their service as it is illegal to buy coupons.
Try trading coupons! Since we all use different things you might be able to find someone with excess coupons you need who will happily trade you for your excess coupons! You can go to the trade wall here on the site–from what I understand many of you have already had great success trading with other readers here!!
I hope this helps! I list all possible match ups so that you know what is out there! Getting the coupons you need may take a little effort but ultimately it can make for a fat wallet!! Leave a comment if you have other recommendations!!
I got the $.50/1 Vanity Fair coupon in my ValPak mailer. If it’s something you don’t generally look through (I know that mine is generally carpet cleaning and home improvement type coupons, so I normally just toss it!) you may want to give it a flip-through!
Thank you so much for posting this! I thought I was losing my mind because I could not find that darn Rachel Ray coupon in my Smart Source booklet. And it wasn’t the first time I had looked and looked for coupons that just were not there. Now I know I am not nuts!
Thanks so much! I went to ebay and bought some coupons for the napkins.. just hoping they will come soon! Wish I thought about this myself sooner! Thanks for all you do!
Save a Lot (store) also has manufactors coupons up on their website. Just printed 1.00 off Velvetta to use at Publix!!
If anyone sees the Earthgrains thin wheat bread coupons for .55/1…….give a shout out as yo where.I found one in Publux today and I need a few more. This will match up to the one for 2.00 off produce wyb 1 earthgrains thin wheat bread.
Thanks!
Wow, I am glad you posted this. I had the $1/plates wyb napkins thinking it was for the napkins-I didn’t read it properly. I would have been very embarrassed if I had used them-got too excited about that deal for my own good-but problem corrected, I just got some napkin coupons on ebay–you’re the best!!!!
Does anyone know of a good newspaper to subscribe to that will not only mail me the newspaper, but also the coupon inserts and sale ads? The AJC won’t send any sale ads or coupon inserts when you receive it in the mail (or so they have told me).
You can also befriend someone in a different area that is already buying papers and ask if they can send you inserts- I do this and I pay them for shipping and cost of papers. It’s cost-prohibitive to do it every week, but on a week when you really are looking for something, it’s worth it!!
Janet,
I have the same complaint with the AJC. I even called and what you say is true. If you subscribe you don’t get the Thurday food section with the Q’s and sale flyers. It annoyed me so much that when my subscrition expires I am not renewing. I will buy the double paper on Sat and will then also get the Thursday Q’s delivered.
As always, thanks for the great info!
One thing I do is, when you post the ads, I immediately scroll through it and if there is anything I know that I will want multiples of (more than 2, because I already buy 2 papers), I go straight to coupon clippers to *buy the coupons I need to go with it. I don’t usually wait for the match ups because I want my q’s to arrive ASAP.
So, if I see your ad post on Wednesday, I have my coupons by Friday for my weekend shopping trip.
I have found that for me it makes more sense to buy coupons from ebay than a coupon clipping site. I usually only want one coupon. With ebay I don’t have to worry about meeting a minimum of coupons bought or having to worry about the clipping sites maximums. I bought .50 off ronzoni coupons a month or two ago on ebay. Perfect for stocking up on pasta this week and donating to food pantries. Thanks for your website!
is it illegal to buy coupons on ebay? since they are selling you coupons? i’ve only bought from a clipping service.
Anna, sellers on ebay are required to state that the coupons are free, that you are paying for their time to find and clip. I am guessing if that were not clearly stated, then ebay would take down the listing.
