During the Holiday season, I always look forward to serving our favorite SAUSAGE BALLS, a family favorite. They are quick and easy, and I always use Tennessee Pride (Hot or Mild, depending on our guests’ palates. My recipe is as follows: (Only 3 ingredients, 16 oz. each)
1 lb. Tennessee Pride sausage, uncooked
1 lb. grated Sharp cheddar cheese
1 lb. (2 Cups) Bisquick (or prepared dry biscuit mix)
Mix all ingredients by hand in bowl until a ball of dough is formed and leaves the sides of the bowl. (Use no liquids, as the heat from your hands will melt the fat in the sausage enough to bond the dough.) Roll into one-inch balls and space one inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 14-17 minutes at 400 degrees in preheated oven until sausage balls are brown on the bottom. Serve warm. ( May be made ahead and frozen. Thaw overnight in refrigerator and heat in microwave before serving.) I always serve mine in a pretty basket with a colorful cloth napkin, depending on the holiday.
Many thanks for a wonderful product. Have a wonderful holiday season.
