Christie let me know that The Freebie Blogger posted how to get some FREE coupons from Food Lion:
- Text COFFEE to 467467 for a free Folgers Gourmet Coffee.
- Text NESTLE to 467467 for a free Bag of Nestle Morsels.
- Text FREE7UP to 467467 for a free 7 Up or Canada Dry 2-liter.
No one is sure if these will be true manufacturer coupons or Food Lion store coupons. If you have unlimited text and you Publix accepts Food Lion Coupons you may want to give it a try! Christie says the process is easy and the coupons will be mailed to your home!
UPDATE: I just did it and it WAS super easy-took less than a minute! Be aware that standard text charges may apply!
Thanks a bunch Christie!
Are you just entering 467467 in the “to” field? I have tried this in the past as well and it doesn’t work for me. I send text messages from my phone all the time, but to other people. Whenever I have tried to send to a number like this, it doesn’t work. Any suggestions are appreciated!
I am worried about this. I had 5 $9.95 charges on my phone last month that the carrier said came from Premium texting sent to me.I got a block put on my phone so I could not receive any texts that charge me for incoming (I have unlimited texting).I entered this text offer and got a message back form my carrier that my request could not be filled because this number was a premium text that would charge. So watch your cell bills on this offer.
Didn’t work for me. It said the short code was expired.
Kelly – who is your carrier? I have unlimited texts, too, and have never heard of “premium texts”.
Kelly, I think that’s because when you send the message, you get a msg back asking for you to send them your MVP number. That incoming message will be a standard text message, charges apply…
This is a premium message that charges you I have had those blocked from my phone and when I sent it out to the 467467 it told me I had blocked charging text
Just did it…hope they don’t charge for the texts!!! but it is easy!!
I did this yesterday, checked my bill today and no extra charges for ‘premium text’ were charged. I’m with Sprint/Nextel and have Everything Messaging plan, which includes unlimited text. YMMV
