I spent a fair amount (for me) this week but I got a ton of stuff to show for my spending! I tried to take advantage of a few last minute deals yesterday but came up empty as the stores were out of items I needed to make my deals “work”. I also just ran out of time–we have been busy and my husband has been home the past two weeks…so I just never had a chance to shop like I had intended.
So here is my last weekly totals post for 2009. I am counting it as last year as the majority of shopping was earlier this this week. I did get the diapers from TRU today but it will be easier to correlate my yearly calculations with my weekly totals.
This week I spent $64.80 for over $329 worth of merchandise! That means I saved 81% this week. Since I started the blog in the middle of 2009 I did not track my spending early in the year. Starting in 2010 I will be including my year to date spending so that I can track my overall spending/savings ratios!
Here is what I purchased for $64.80 this week:

Green = Publix; Blue = Kroger; Red = Walgreens; Black = Toys R Us (I also purchased a coupole of monitors from Walgreens but they are not included as they will be donated and would inflate my totals)
How did you do this week. Leave a comment or link to your weekly savings.
Impressive! Were the $5/50 Q’s competitor coupons? If so, how did your store accept three in the same transaction? My store rings up the $5 off Q at the end, after coupons, which they tend to ring up as the cashier goes along matching products to Q’s (which would also make it difficult to use multiple $5 Q’s). My store wouldn’t accept multiple Juicy Juicy Target web Qs, just one.
Short week for me…I spent $28.50 for $126.27 worth, saved $97.77 = 77%
Were the Earth’s Best wipes coupons part of the deal at Babies R Us, or did those Qs come from elsewhere?
Fantastic savings!
