Every Friday I am going to put out a request for you all to send me your questions!
The questions can really be about anything…questions about couponing, how to use the site, where to buy coupons, etc… Feel free to ask away!! Then, every Wednesday I will answer as many questions as I can. I will then create a new tab at the top of the site where all the questions and answers will be stored for future reference!!
I want this to be both fun and helpful…so send your questions to contactiheartpublix@gmail.com and check back next Wednesday to see the answers!!
Publix cashier and the head cashier just turned down taking their own Publix coupon because it exceeded the sale price by a penny. Olay had a sale on regenerist cleanser $3.00 off the $6.99 price = $3.99. I had a manufactures coupon $2.00 and a Publix coupon $2.00 I still have the rain check for 12 which I have coupons for so I can get the Olay $20 rebate. Should I try again or do you know if the publix policy on overages or stacking coupons have changed. Oh the cleansers are for my wife and 3 daughters if you were wondering
Hi Bill!
I was talking to a Publix Store Manager on Wednesday who told me that the policy on overage should be determined ONLY by the District Manager – so you might want to try to get in touch with him or her to get the real scoop!
I had a cashier and the customer service manager at Wal Mart a few weeks ago turn down my internet coupons. She said that the Texas address was fake. So all of the coupons that had the address of One Fawcett Drive, Del Rio, Tx. were fake. I even had a coupon that Snyder’s sent me with the same address, printed straight from Snyder’s, and she refused that one too. I got so angry, I took back my coupons and left the entire cart of groceries there. I went to Publix the next day, and Publix took them all. Can Wal Mart do this? Why will they not take the coupons with the Fawcett Drive address?
Last week you mentioned that your kids get a FREE cookie from the bakery? Do all stores do this? Now that school is out, I’ll be shopping a lot more with my 3 year old and I might need to take advantage.
ask about the cookie club too. my store has a cookie club and they punch a hole in the club card every time they get a free cookie. when the card is full, you put it in the box for a raffle. my kids have won 3 ten inch cookie cakes in the last year!! including this month.. still trying to decide when is the best time to cash in that free cookie cake lol
Yes!! Power to the free cookies!! 🙂 I use it as a bribing tool for my 3 year-old.
My question is about freezing fresh produce. Obviously, there are some things that won’t freeze well. Do you have any advice as to what does/doesn’t freeze well. Any tips like “blanch before freezing”?? (I read that fancy lingo on the bag of broccoli I bought last week. LOL!) Don’t know if I have enough room to freeze enough produce to last through the winter months, but it’s worth a shot…
Thanks,
Michelle S
Staci – Yes most Grocery Stores do offer free cookies for kids. Publix and Kroger does. Just ask the person at the bakery counter.
I want to know if it’s cheaper to by boneless skinless breast at 1.99lb or split breasts at .98lb. Will I come out any better. (or thighs for that matter) I just never know.
ok…if there is a promo for buy three get one free at PUBLIX, and they also have a publix coupon at the same time offering by 2 get one free…how do you work that deal to your best advantage (such the case this week with dr. pepper)
My question is about the coupon books you find at Publix. Is there any rhyme or reason as to which store gets which books (not the green or yellow books)? For my Publix I don’t think it’s an issue that they run out, they always seem to have lots of what they do get. Also they put them in random spots all over the store. It’s like searching for a needle sometimes. Thanks.
Is there an easy way to know when all the coupons in the weekly inserts are expired without having to go through them all. I keep all the inserts and cut coupons as I need them.
i believe coupon clippers has a section referring to when the inserts came out. also, if you notice michelle always posts an “insert preview” post with a link to another blog that tells you what coupons you can expect in your insterts. the blogger posts all the different values, as well as when they expire. tip: when you get the inserts, write the date on the front, then all you have to do is a search on that blog for the date and itll pop up for you! 🙂
