Every Friday I am going to put out a request for you all to send me your questions!
The questions can really be about anything…questions about couponing, how to use the site, where to buy coupons, etc… Feel free to ask away!! Then, every Wednesday I will answer as many questions as I can. I will then create a new tab at the top of the site where all the questions and answers will be stored for future reference!!
I want this to be both fun and helpful…so send your questions to contactiheartpublix@gmail.com and check back next Wednesday to see the answers!!
Why is it that the store clerk always has a attitude with the coupons i use. i keep the all together and i give them to her in a group of one item at a time so she scans them all. Sometimes when i give them all to her when i get home she did not scan them all. seems like all the cashiers at this store has a problem with my coupons or should i say with my cash$$$$$$ as i like to call coupons. BYW my kids love coupons. last night savings total bill $85.34 my cost $7.36.
Thank you

Who pays for the “FREE” item during a BOGO. Does the store pay, or does the company (Kraft, etc) pay?
I’ve read a few times about people ordering sale items from their stores. Like this week I have 15 of the Italian Ice coupons. How would I go about ordering and is Publix cool with that? Do you know of a time period they need to have to order BOGO items. Is there a minimum order amount? Thanks.
Can I use these coupons together in one transaction? – one $1 off 3 items plus $1 off 2 (same items) – they are different coupons… wasn’t sure. For example I have a coupon for $1.50 off 3 kelloggs cereal and I have a $1/2 any kelloggs cereal. Can I use both coupons since they are different coupons off the three boxes of cereal? Or I see some coupons with $1/1 or $1/2….can I use both at the same time?
I want to know the same thing, sort of…like on the
Kingsford Charcoal. There are 3 different q’s for free items wyb Kingsford. Can you buy 1 bag of charcoal and use all 3 coupons??
How strict is Publix on their store Qs that say 1 deal per customer or something like that. The Green flier’s Qs usually say something like that, and I’ve never tried to use more than one because I’m not sure what they’ll do.
Thanks so much, Michelle!

Thanks
It takes 2 months to get your first magazine. My payment was recieved March 18 and I got my first issue on May 16th.
Is there a coupon etiquette regarding shelf clearing? Through the grapevine I have learned of a couponer in my area who has bought 40 or 50 of the same item–and done it with multiple items–so that the couponer’s total is less than $10 for hundreds of dollars of product. I often go into the store to get one or two of the deals, and they are already gone–even if I go the first day of the sale(this happens at several stores around me). I am all about saving money, and taking advantage of the good deals/mm’s, but to me, it seems that buying up all the product so that no one else has a chance is rude. Maybe I’m the only one who feels this way and I need to “get over it.” Is there anything I can do to be sure I can get the deals, even if there are “shelf-clearers” in my area?
OMG I totally agree with this. I love these sites, but sometimes when people learn it is free with overages it means I won’t get it even if I go the day it starts. It drives me insane because it will be something I need. So please you out there don’t buy 30 of an item just to get the overages, it drives us all insane.
I saw elsewhere on the site that you said you shop on Mondays. Do the stores restock BOGO items by then? Or is there a certain time of day that they restock and maybe I’m just going at the wrong time? I am usually there on Friday mornings and lots of the BOGOs are already cleaned out (sometimes even on Thursday morning) and if I end up going on Saturday, I can just forget about getting anything BOGO! I would actually prefer to shop on Mondays, for a variety of reasons, but I always assumed I could do better right after the weekly ad came out. I’d love to find out I’ve been wrong!
If there is a FLIP for Food Lion Brand soda can you use that coupon for Publix brand soda? Thanks!
Tasha–If you have three items, ie:(3) boxes of cereal, you can use (1) $1.50/3 (it is like getting $0.50 off each one. You can use (1)-$1.00/1 AND(1)-$2.00/2 OR (3) $1.00/1–for a total of $3.00/3. The $1.00/1 q. attaches to one box and the $2.00/2 attaches to the other two boxes. You can only use one MQ per item, so since you are using the $1.50/3 you can’t use any of the other q. for those three items. Now you have to decide which coupons are better to use because the $1.00/1 and $2.00/2 is $3.00/3 so that would be better than the $1.50/3. The only time that I am aware of that coupons can be stacked like you are asking about is if one of the coupons is a Publix coupon.
To Anonymous and Lauren,
I hate when this happens too. I used to get so bummed out. Luckily, it’s nothing to fret about too much because you can get a raincheck that is good for 30 days (or at least it’s 30 days here) or you can pre-order and they will call you when it comes in. Our rainchecks have a limit of 2 deals (so 4 products on BOGO), etc. Which is fine because I never need that much anyway. I’ve never pre-ordered because I don’t need big quantities, but I’ve seen others discussing doing it and that their managers are happy they do it so that the shelves don’t get cleared out. Hope this helps.
I get rain checks but if my MQ’s are expiring before the 30 days I am still out of luck. I know every store is different but can stores legally accept MQ’s that are expired?
If I have a $4/$20 from CVS, but I plan on spending more than $20 before coupons… can I use more than 1 of the $4/$20 in one transaction? Or should I do multiple transactions?
With the Target q’s: if a product is bogo, would ‘buy 3 get the 4th free’ and ‘buy 2 get the 3rd free’ essentially be the same and result in 4 product for the price of 1?
I’d love to know what the kickback is for Publix when I use a Publix store coupon, and how long after expiration they will get reimbursed by the manufacturer. (My store and many others accept expired Publix Qs.)
I love the rainchecks Publix gives and usually gives them freely without complication. However, I have 2 questions regarding this – what if the raincheck expires?
I’ve been trying to get the Olay Regenerist deal from almost a month ago and they still haven’t restocked. I check several times a week. The manager finally told me what day the Pharmacy truck comes in so I could check on that day and still none.
My second question is on the raincheck they always ask me how many I will be purchasing. Can I buy more than that and still get the price mentioned on the raincheck (i.e., if I find more coupons between getting the raincheck and cashing in the raincheck).
