Just wanted to give you all a heads up on a few coupons…
Frugal Little Thing commented that she found a $1/2 Sweet Baby Rays coupon in her SS insert this morning. I have yet to open my paper but maybe I will have the same as that is a favorite here at my house. The coupon makes each bottle 68¢ with the BOGO.
I just noticed a few new coupons on the printable sites:
-$1/2 Nabisco Multipacks on Coupons.com
-$1/2 DOLE® Canned Juices 46 oz or 6 oz – 6 packs on SmartSource
-$1/2 rolls of Scotch® Packaging Tape on SmartSource
-$1/1 Scotch® Pop-Up Deskgrip Dispenser or Refill on SmartSource
-$1/1 Barber Foods® Chicken product on SmartSource (fingers crossed for a BOGO!!!)
-$1/1 Sylvania® Energy Star™ Qualified Compact Fluorescent Lighting product on SmartSource
I will add all the ones that apply to the weekly matchups ASAP!!
Not to be a traitor to Publix or this site (I promise I’m not!), but Sweet Baby Ray’s are 10 for $10, or $1 each, at Kroger this week. Using the $1/2 coupon makes them 50¢ each at Kroger — a better deal than at Publix. :-\
No Barber Foods no matter how many zip codes I try! This one is so elusive every time it’s posted!
I see it under 30187 🙂
Nope, not under that zip either. I printed one out a month or so ago but I can rarely access this one. Thanks anyway!
I don’t see it on SmartSource either, but you can go to http://www.barberfoods.com then click on Promotions, then down on the lower right side, you will see a ‘Coupon’ link…click that and it will go to immediately to print $1/1 coupon.
Only if you have a Kroger to shop at! 🙂
FYI, went to Publix this morning, and was told as per new company policy, only stand alone grocery store competitors would be accepted… so no TARGET anymore for me… (Orlando/Kissimme FL area) Very sad… they honored my target from this week, but I was told no longer…. 🙁
Thanks for the heads up! Read your interview in the Lakeland Ledger this morning about couponing! I loved it!
Christina, I wrote an email to corporate about cutting off target/food lion coupons (a manager said they would no longer accept printable competitor coupons). The store manager called me back and let me know he was going to let all of his employees know that at HIS store they will still be accepting these competitors even though most Publix’s do not.
In my email I gave him a detailed description of what I buy, and which coupons I was upset about not being able to use (a printable $3 food lion coupon for similac). The total for JUST baby formula for my twins in the next 6 months would be thousands of dollars, and I think it was an eye opener for them to see just how much business they do get from us by allowing us to use those competitor coupons.
It wouldn’t hurt to give the store manager a call and just give them some information about using competitor coupons. I basically just said: “I want to shop at your store ONLY, but I WILL have to go to these other places-even if its far away, to be able to use these coupons to get a better deal. THAT is what competition means, so it makes no sense not to accept them when I am willing to give Publix ALL of my business for a family of four that includes 2 infants and a toddler in diapers!”
I wasn’t trying to be threatening, I just really wanted them to understand how much of an incentive it really is to be able to use those Target or Food Lion (or Save-a-lot sometimes) at their store. It keeps me coming back day after day “spending” hundreds of dollars every trip!
I forgot to mention, Christina, I’m in Orlando also! I’m in Seminole County.
Great idea, I will give that a try… I was just so stunned at the store this am… I have even been driving out of my way to the “older” publix in town because the have been so coupon friendly… perhaps I will mention this too! I am in Kissimmee but shop in Kissimmee, St. Cloud and sometime Orlando areas… (depends on where my kids soccer games are that week!)
Hey Michelle! 🙂
I don’t know if they are different but I got the Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce in the Smart Source today not in the Red Plum. 😉
“Frugal Little Thing” what store are you referring to in Seminole county? Thanks
Hi Michelle,
I’m brand new to couponing (i seem to be in a “cutting and hoarding” stage) and i’m having a hard time keeping track of all the coupons i have. I remember you mentioned a few weeks ago that you use a coupon database to keep track of yours. Is this a database you did on your own in excel or similar or something else? What categories do you use – e.g. brand, product, expiration date, manufacturers or store coupon?
Thanks,
Kissi
I saw in Walmart today that they have the 40 oz. (HUGE bottle) Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce at $2…with the coupon in todays paper, they’d only be a buck each. That’s a pretty good buy for that size!!
also go to sweet baby ray’s website and send them an email. i did, and they send me a TON of great including ree product) coupons for sbr and ken’s dressing. i simply told them how much my family enjoyed using their original bbq sauce and the funny little pregnancy hormone related story that went with the first time my husband bought it.
