Hi I’m Michelle…
It kinda tickles me at the numberย of emails I get each week asking questions about me and how I shop.ย I love running into readers at the store –it is so much fun.ย I met a reader named Sara the other day andย she had me rolling!! She was just so excited to see me actually shopping.ย She said it reminded her of how she felt when she wasย little and saw a teacher at the store–you know kinda amazed to see themย outside of the classroom.ย I thought about it and I guess I have never really sat down and introduced myself to all of you. So I thought I would take a few minutes to tell you about me…
Most of you know that my name is Michelle.ย I am a 30 something stay at homeย mom to two very busyย boys-Jake (4 years old) and Jeb (2 years old).ย I have a wonderful husband who works hard to provide a comfortable living for us.ย Right after Jake was born we decided to move to a less populated area ofย metro Atlantaย so that we could build the home we wanted but not break the bank!!ย Before we moved I was less than a mile from my closest Publix–now I drive almost 20 minutes to get to the closest store!ย I am just now beginning to get used to the fact that to get anywhere requires some majorย drive time!ย I doย think we have the best of both worlds…out here things are not as hectic and rushed–but if we miss the hustle and bustle we can be in downtown Atlanta in 45 minutes.
I have several advanced degrees in Education and Psychology and before having children I was a Behavior Specialist.ย I loved working with kids and still do consults a couple of times per month.ย ย When Iย decided to stop working outside the home, I became much more conscious of the money that I was spending.ย I remember coming home from the grocery store where I had spent well over $200ย for a week’s worth ofย groceries and essentials.ย As I unloaded the groceries I watched a gal on TV explain how she got hundreds of dollars worth of groceries for almost nothing!ย ย My jaw hit the floor!!ย That same day I got online and started researching and learning about the world of extremeย “crazy couponers”.ย That was the last time I paid full price for groceries and the day that my way of thinking completely changed!ย Since then I have been on TV a few times, in a few magazines and started my websites where I share deals with all of you!ย
I consider myself a smart person–you can ask me anything about the science of behavior or child development and I will have an answer for you. But…computers and websites…NO CLUE!!ย The start of my freshman year of college– I showed up with a typewriter!!ย I am not exactly sure why one day I just up and decided to start a blog??ย Hello–I had no clue about HTML, CSS, widgets, buttons and permalinks!!ย ย I am the farthest thing possible from a computer pro!!ย Somehow, I managed to set my sites up but honestly everything you see is a work in progress!!ย Gradually I have taught myself a few things here and there and I learn something new every week!!ย ย Some things I have learned via trial and error and others I have learned thanks to some fellow bloggers who were kind enough toย show a complete novice!!ย
On average I spend a couple of hours each day here at the computer.ย While I love to bring you guys all the best deals…my kids and family come first.ย I keep my boys very busy!! I want to make sure they are active and get lots of social exposure.ย I have learned to become a master multi-tasker ๐ย One of the best things about being a blogger is that I can do it from almostย anywhere.ย Often I am hittingย spell checkย as I give myย boys a push on the swing or publishing a great deal on my way out the door to soccer practice!ย
I had to giggle today as a reporter who is featuring I Heart Publix in her article called today wanting a professional head shot for the article!!ย ย Professional headshot…I stuggled to find a picture where my hair was not in a pony tail ๐ย tee hee!!ย I consider myself a typical mom.ย I am busy from the moment I wake up until my head hits the pillow every night!ย There is rarely a moment that I am not doing something–but you know I think that is also my personality.ย I have never been the type to sit and veg in front of the TV.ย I think I would be bored if I were not in constant motion!!
Many of you email asking why you don’t see meat on my list each week or why you have never seen a toothbrush on my weekly totals list.ย Well, I have been couponing for a while so I have a great stockpile that I add to each week.ย I do buy meat– but usually not every week.ย When it is on sale I buy large amounts so that I have time to wait for the next sale.ย Not long ago I stocked my freezer with over 40 pounds of meat so unless there is a great deal, you will not see meat on my list for a while!!ย ย As for health, beauty and cleaning items–I have plenty to last for quite a while so unless it is free or I will make me money…I don’t buy it!!ย
Lets see…I love flowers, I hate doing laundry, my favorite color is red, I need to lose weight, I am finding more and more grey hair every day, I talk a lot, I love to shop, most days my hair is pulled up and the days where I would not go out of the house without makeup has come and gone.ย I love using emoticons in my post ๐ Just like anyone I have feelings and I don’t like it when people say mean things to me or jump on me when I make a mistake.ย I love the fact that so many of you send me emails about your great savings and let me know when you find a great deal.ย I also love the fact that when I do make a mistake so many of you will stand up for me and remindย the meaniesย that I am only human!ย I am thankful for all the wonderful friendships I have developed thanks to my jump into the world of blogging and I appreciate all of you who take the time to come visit my site everyday–it is what makes it all worth it!!
Thanks for taking the time to re-introduce yourself to us!
It is so true that we are just moms sharing what we have learned. When I went to Disney and was sat next to the USA Today lady and given a press pass I felt completely out of my league! As I type this I have a 2 year old with a runny nose on my lap. That is the life of a blogger mom!
Thanks for taking the time to do what you do! I know it takes a lot of “free” time away from you and I truly appreciate the hours spent by you every week!
Great to see you! I was also an educator and worked with children with disabilities. I love your site!
Nice to “meet” you Michelle!! I too am a stay at home mom and I am SO GRATEFUL to you for all your hard work!! I use your matchups every week!! You save me time, and most importantly $$$$ M-O-N-E-Y $$$$$!! I am pretty new at couponing and am just amazed when I spend $60.00 and save $75.00 and this is for a cart full of groceries!! SO EXCITING!!! THANK YOU AGAIN ~ YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! ๐
you sound alot like myself…I am seeing so many people as of late whipping out those coupons in Publix. Sometimes I will mention to them about your site and their faces light up, like WOW you mean I could be saving even more….YES!!
So could ya tell me which Publix you shop at? This site is such a saving grace for this household, with my husband only recieving his Vet diss. and unemployment you have really helped me save alot of money…THANK YOU VERY MUCH
thank you for sharing! feel like I know you a little better, love your blog, you have saved us soooo much money! thank you so very much!
Thank you for this wonderful introduction Michelle. It was really nice to get to know you a little better. I don’t know how you get everything done and still run your sites….but then again as moms multitasking is a necessity.
I also want to thank you for all of your hard work, you really are making my life a lot easier.
It is nice to meet you Michelle!
Hi Michelle…nice to finally “meet” you, LOL ๐ I am Brooke, 30, stay at home mom with a 12 year old son (13 in Nov, YIKES) and a 3 year old daughter, living in Powder Springs GA. I’ve been following your sites for about 6 months, thanks to Val @ 11alive! I look forward to Monday’s now, because of your sneak peaks ๐ Keep up the great work, it is VERY appreciated!! ๐
I love this post! I was a behavior analyst too. I thought long and hard about getting my BCBA but chose to each for a year instead. I have a degree in psych and one in special education. Really, this is my favorite post from you. <3 <3 <3
Teach – chose to teach.
I was so glad to see that you are just as human as the rest of us (or at least the majority). I’ve been reading your posts for about a year now and check it every day. I’m a human resource manager and I try to help employees save money on groceries and health and beauty aids. I find you delightful and if I don’t check in with you everyday I feel I’m missing something. I also love the way your web page is set up. Thank you for all you do and if you need any help, just ask. Until then I’ll be reading every day and waiting for the best deals ever. I too have never shopped the same since I’ve started couponing. This has become a second income for me and I love the thrill of the deal. Keep up the great work and your boys are the cutest!
Loved reading this post Michelle!! I am a former teacher and stay at home mom. I live in Dallas, GA and enjoy being in the suburbs of Atlanta, but my nearest Publix is only 5 minutes away!! Thanks for all you do for the site. I don’t see how you do it all either!!
This is one of my favorite posts! I have been following you only since the beginning of this year but I never miss a day. You have helped my family save so much which is really important right now since my husband is furloughed. Thanks for all you do and I’m glad that you shared with us!!
Nice to see you Michelle! You are doing a fantastic job!
Great picture of you and your boys, Michelle… Your an amazing mom and I don’t know how you do it all! But, I know I really appreciate all you do! Thanks so much!!!
Ahh, I didn’t know you were from the Atlanta area! Small world I guess…. I grew up in Gwinnett County, we moved out of there last year due to the traffic, it took 30min to go 10 miles and I was sick of it. We live about 20min north of there now and I love it! Though it does take me about 20min to get to the closest Publix too… it’s so worth it.
Michelle–
I’ve often wondered if I missed the formal introduction since I wasn’t aware of your site until it was a couple of months along…….
I am a part-time preschool teacher, part-time freelance writer, part-time coupon blogger, full-time wife to a youth minister and 4 kids–three boys ages 8,6, and 3, and a girl (2)…..
I used to spent $200 on groceries/week just to make ends meet. Because of coupons and now with the help of your site and others, I teach coupon workshops on Saturday mornings around the state of Georgia, and in my church, and I spend about $75/week on all our grocery & other items…..
The great thing about this new skill set (couponing) is that it’s allowed our family to “adopt” families whose breadwinner has been laid off. In doing so, we’ve provided baskets and baskets and boxes full of food and toiletry items, and it’s cost us very little out-of-pocket. In addition, I have a stockpile that makes people joke I’m preparing for nuclear winter….and my husband welcomes people to our basement by saying “welcome to Rachael-mart”.
So thanks for all you do every week!!
You feel like part of my savingcentsably family!!!!
Rachael
Hi Michelle! How nice of you to share this with all of us! Great picture and adorable boys! ๐
I visit your site everyday and can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am for all you do. I can’t imagine how you have time to do everything, bless your heart! Thanks again, and never forget how much you are appreciated! ๐
So sweet! Great picture and beautiful family! Thanks for all you do!
Thank you for introducing yourself. I started following your blog just a few months ago. A great neighbor told me about it. I lost my job and my husband is now the sole bread winner. So I have to cut corners in every aspect so we can make ends meet. I also have the opportunity to be home with my girls. So thank you for saving ME money and finding sanity in this crazy world and economy!
Michelle,You know I think your a rock star. You have completley changes my life. You have saved me a ton of money. And your the best mentor a girl could have.
It’s so nice to put a face to the woman that saves my family SO much money each week. It truly is because of you and a few of the other mommy bloggers out there that I can afford to stay home with my son. I used to be “good” at couponing but after reading your match ups and deals you make me feel like a pro! I have often had cashiers tell me I should write a book on how I save so much money and I always tell them it’s because of you and I give them the address to your site. You should be so proud that you have helped so many people you truly are amazing at what you do! Thank you SOOO SOOO much!
Loved reading this. Loved your comment about the “meanies”. I think all too often many forget that there is an actual person behind the keyboard!!! Yes everyone is only human- Keep up the great work!
Its nice to “meet” you michelle! I came across this site about a year ago and It’s really helped me with my savings. I’m a stay at home mom of 3 kids, 6,4 and 5 months. We are a 1 income family so we have to stretch it out alot! I love this site and your other one! Keep up with the good work!
Hi Michelle. Loved your story. I visit this site every day. And anytime someone asks me about couponing, I always mention iheartpublix. You are much appreciated.
Thanks for the introduction! Thank you for all that you do in posting these deals for us all! Oh and we will continue to stand up to the meanies for you, because we are all so grateful to have found your site and for the wonderful woman that created it. ๐
P.S. – I like smileys too! LOL!
Hi Michelle,
Thanks for giving us a peek into your life. I want you to know that I look forward to visiting your site everyday to see what deals you have blogged about. I too, often receive comments from cashiers about what a great couponer I am and I always give you credit and mention your site. Thanks for all you do and know for every “meanie” out there, there are a lot more of us who truly appreciate your hard work and effort.
Thank you SOOOOO much for all you do Michelle – it’s wonderful to see the face behind I Heart Publix! I have no idea how you do it all but thanks so much for tackling it all!
Thanks for sharing Michelle. It’s great to put a face to the name/blog ๐
So great to learn more about the incredible woman behind the incredible site! I’ve just been couponing for a few weeks and thank goodness yours is one of the first sites I was linked to. I’m still learning and building my stockpile, so my weekly total hasn’t dropped dramatically (yet), but I’m getting a TON more for the money. Plus, I’m building up items to donate thanks to all your tips on free or nearly free stuff. I think one of the things that’s helped me the most so far is all the deals on health and beauty aids. They used to be the most expensive category for me pre-Q’s and now they’re one of the cheapest. You rock!
Loved reading this post. Whenever I bump into other couponers, everyone agrees that IHeartPublix is our #1 source for great deals. THANK YOU for all the time and effort you put into helping others!!!
It’s always nice to put a face with a name or blog. Thanks for all your hard work.
FANTASTIC post – I loved it! And I love your site.
I think you need to find some readers who are photographers and set something up. I’m always trying not to be in pictures. But got to thinking when I am gone do I want my children to have pictures of me, and them? Yes.
So I know of a couple photographers that really do an awesome job.
One I know is a reader and a couponer of yours:

Michelle, its so nice you posted about you lol,its a pleasure to meet you finally. you always wonder who is behind the blog…. i got alot of food today from publix for only 23 bucks and of course they said something to me about the target coupons…. however I still saved 60.14 and only spent 23 which is not my best day but becuase of you and your blog you are helping so many folks…I really enjoyed hearing about how you are alot like me… my son is ese and lets just say I really miss his preschool teacher Mrs Sarah, she taught me alot and she passed away about a year ago from cancer…she touched many lives and my son’s was one of them along with me… and you have done the same my friend…. thanks again so much for doing this blog for all of us mommas with pony tails lol wished i lived closer… but if you ever wanna come to pensacola where the oil has not reached the beaches you have a friend here lol
What a nice article! I really enjoyed it!
Thank you for all that you do…like you I stay at home and I rely on your site every week to get me the best deal at Publix every week. If it were not for you my family would not eat as good as they do. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO. BTW your boys are handsome.
Just wanted to say thank you for the great job that you do on this blog. It is so nice to put a face to the person ๐
I would TOTALLY be the girl in Publix jumping up and down if I saw you. ๐ You’re like a rock star! Seriously though, I have saved so much money because of your sites. I can’t thank you enough.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your site! Thank you so very much. It is by far the best of the several that I monitor daily for great deals at Publix. Glad to see your just a normal mom like many of us.
On the weight loss note…I started running (3-5 miles) early in the morning before my husband leaves for work. You can drop some weight really fast and keep it off. I just make it a habit…get up, get it done first thing before it gets hot and i’m done with my workout for the day. Maybe that would work for you. I’m also “30 something” with three little blessings under the age of 10. I’m a former R.N. but being a stay at home mom/home economist is the BEST!
Thanks for what you do for all of us.
Very nice to meet you Michelle! And great to find out a little more about who you are.
Thanks for all that you do!
Erin
You are exactly who I thought you were and although we’ve never met, I feel we are friends!!! I love visiting your website everyday! Oh and let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to reduce my weekly grocery bill from $175 to $70!!! You rock Michelle!!!
Thanks,
Tracey K.

My favorite color is red too!
I think what you do is awesome and I’m so glad you are sharing with others.
I appreciate ALL you do! Thanks for taking the time to share the great deals with us.
I really appreciate your site as it has helped me save money at my favorite grocery store! Thanks so much!
Hi Michelle!
I’m Veronica!
I’m new to this, been doing it for three weeks. My first week I saved $33 and I was so proud of myself… last week I save $145!!! You are amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks so much Michelle for this wonderful post. It’s nice to know more about you. I have been following your site for almost a year and it is my #1 resource. I have made a conscience effort to NOT shop at Walmart. I’ve always loved Publix but thought it was too expensive. It is now my main store and save SOOO much money!
I so appreciate your blog and all you do, I check your site everyday and love the sneak peeks to prepare for the upcoming sale.
I have people tell me all the time that couponing is too hard or Publix is too expensive and I tell them iheartpublix has changed the way I shop. You have done all the hard work for us!! ๐ You are amazing!
On a personal note, I am a SAHM to 2 children and my son is special needs which is why I am got so full force into couponing/saving in the first place (therapies, special foods, choosing not to work to help him more etc) . It’s nice to see that you have a heart for these children.
Thanks so much for all you do and thanks for letting us take a peak inside your world ๐
You are one incredible lady! If I ran into you, I’d be pretty giddy, too!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your personal story with us! It is great to put a face & name with the site I love so much! You are such a wonderful person to spend so much of your time sharing these great deals with all of us! I work in the corporate world and women just don’t help each other like we should. There are so many women out there sharing their savings, just like you. I never realized that there was such a great couponing family out there. I am lucky to be apart of this that family. Thank you! You are an angel!
Hi Michelle,
I’m glad to be able to put a face with the personality now. Nice to meet you! I appreciate your hard work and it has changed my life. I have always been thrifty but never like this. Keep up the hard work….you are the BEST!
Lisa
Michelle, thanks so much for this post! Its kind of nice to know the face behind the name behind the blog! I adore your site! It has saved me SOOOO much money since I stumbled upon it last summer! I’m a single mom of a fabulous fifteen year old and I work full time+. Thanks so much for doing all of the “work” for me on the ads. I’d never get it all pulled together if it weren’t for your site. I do find the time to veg in front of the tv, but that’s usually when I’m clipping and sorting my coupons! Again, thanks for all you do! You make it SO much easier on the rest of us!!!!
Love this post! Its so nice to see a picture of you. Thanks for sharing. I started following your blog in Feb. You have saved me a ton of money since then. My family and friends tell me I should write my own blog, but I just send them your way. I live in Lakeland, FL where Publix was founded. I think we have around 12 stores in Lakeland, so I make my rounds. My grandparents and parents have always shopped there. I got away from it because they are a little more pricey and I hated to have to do it. Now with my couponing I get to shop where I love. I am also a SAHM with three kids. I have a two year old little boy also, so I feel your pain ๐ If I ran into you shopping at my store, I would probably act like you were a Jonas Brother ๐ Thank you for ALL that you do, it is so appreciated!
Hello Michelle!! Thanks for this post and finally putting a picture of you to your name:):) We all appreciate all your hard work and thanks for all the tips too that you post!! I always check your blog every morning to start my day, then re-check in the afternoon as well. I’m also a stay at home with two daughters and my husband is a hard working man to provide for the family, so I could stay at home and take care of the kids and dog. Again, Thanks for all you do!! You’re AWESOME!!! Love you to death, even though I haven’t met you. God Bless to you and your family!! Take care!!
Its so nice to meet you and to put a name/website with a face. You are a beautiful woman with beautiful children. Thank you for what you do for me and my family and all of us everyday.
Hi, so nice to put a face with your website! My son is Autistic so I REALLY appreciate the work of therapist’s! You save my family tons of money each week and my entire family is grateful! We wish you & your family the best. : )
Michelle, it is so nice to meet you! ๐ I LOVE that you have this site, I use it daily! Our family is forever changed because of couponing, and because you help make it doable for us all. Thank you for all that you do!

Tee hee! You’re awesome!
Hi Michelle,
I want to thank you for all your hard work in helping the rest of us save money. I used coupons from time to time when I remembered to bring them with me on shopping trips. I became unemployed in October of last year and that is when I really began to look for ways to save money. I was spending $100.00+ a week on groceries for two people. I found your blog and began shopping at Publix. I have to drive 75 miles one way to the nearest Publix but I can save so much money. My husband is amazed at the savings. He likes to watch the cashier scan the coupons and see how the total keeps getting lower and lower. I owe all this to you. You taught me how to do this. I am so thankful for you. You are truly a blessing!
LOVE IT! I’m so glad to see your face and your boys. And hear more about you. You’re fantastic. I’m at my one year anniversary of couponing and you’ve helped me save over $1,500. My husband is almost as excited as I am ๐ THANK YOU!
Nice to meet you! I really appreciate all you do. I have saved so much money on my shopping and I am getting better every week thanks to you. Please pay no attention to those snarky posters who feel the need to complain. They are just jealous of your awesomeness.
Liz
Thank you so much for sharing with us! I loved seeing your picture and I loved hearing about you and your life. You have been a great blessing to me and my family with this blog. I share it with all of my friends. Thank you for being there for us!
How cute are YOU and your boys and your story!!!! I just love your blog been here about 2 months and tell everyone about it…I am happy to meet you and was shocked to see how young you are…NO KIDDING…I pictured you like the lady in the icon…roflmbo…hahaha…Keep up the great work…if you can, cause I agree family first. Thanks
picture surprised me too. so expected a almost 40 something career woman turned SAHM. that’s what the icon looks like. LOL.
I know I’ve told you this before, probably more than once, but my son’s name is Jeb too and I just think it’s neat because Jeb is such an uncommon name. Is it short for anything? Our Jeb’s is not. My Jeb is 3 1/2 and LOVES anything TOY STORY as well! He keeps asking me for pb & j on toy story bread (Sara Lee). One difference is I have 3 kids. Another younger son (2 on Sun.) and a 6 yr.old daughter. Great to get to know you a little better. (and if you ever have a little girl I have a cute “J” name that I would have used if either of my boys had been a girl. ๐
Great to meet you! I have been following this site for over a year and I pass this (and your other site) on to everyone one I can! It has saved us a bunch of money, and I fear were it not for you…I would not get nearly as much for my money! Thank you so much Michelle!! YOU ROCK!!!!! ๐
How wonderful to finally put a face with all the great advice! ๐ BTW, I’m a photographer based out of Montgomery Alabama, if you’re ever down this way let me know and we’ll get those headshots taken care of for you as a thank you for helping me save so much money!
Just as many others have said … I also want to say THANK YOU!!!
We have a family of 7 (5 adopted children). We adopted 4 all at once about 6 years ago and BOY that will DRASTICALLY change the budget. ๐ฎ
So nice to “meet you” and hear more about you! I really really really do โฅ I โฅ Publix !
Thanks again Michelle! You are a HUGE blessing to my family and our budget. ๐
HI Michelle,
I could already relate to you based on the love for publix…now even more than that because we have so much other stuff in common! I want you to know how appreciated you are…i know it must be hard work to keep the site up and organized and you do an awesome job. I look forward to the monday early previews and i love how approachable you are. we don’t take you or i heart for granted. thanks for all you do.
It is nice to put a face with the name. Your boys are adorable. Thanks for sharing your story with us. It is nice to get to know you a little bit better.
Thank you for all your hard work and your commitment to blogging. It really is such a privilege to be able to check this site then plan my shopping. You do all the hard work for me and it is VERY appreciated!
i am so glad u posted this! its so fun to know more about u. what is neat to mฤ is how similรกr our stories are. i too have advanced degrees and took it as my own personal challenge when i saw good morning america feature a lady paging less than $1 for $200 in groceries. it has changed our lives. ๐ Thanks for making couponing a bรญt less time consuming
I loved this! Thank you for sharing.
It is wonderful to see who you are now! I am on your website many – many- many times a day!! You are the BEST! Thank you for all you do!!
Ahhh, this was so sweet. I loved reading. You go girl!!
Hi Michelle,
Nice picture. As I’ve shared, I have a 4 y-o girl and a 2 y-o boy. I’m also a stay at home mom with a husband who works hard! He changed careers in the middle of his life, so we’re on the ladder again! ALMOST breaking the bank, but not quite. I also have degrees in education and psychology! Before I had my oldest, I was a school psychologist! Lots in common…
Silvia
Thanks for all you do. It has helped our family buget. It amazes me now that I actually use to pay full price.
Great pic ๐ Nice to put a face to your blog. I have been following your blog for almost a year–it just keeps getting better !! Fellow shoppers see me handing over all my coupons & have to ask…I tell them to check out my friend at “iheartPublix”
Keep up the good work ๐
Thanks so much! You are doing a great job!
Michelle,
I lived in Jasper, GA for a year and although the mountains are BEAUTIFUL, my closest Publix was in Canton (20 minutes one way)!!
We moved back to FL last year, where there is a Publix on EVERY corner (well, ALMOST!)
I LOVE your blog!
loved finally seeing a pic of you with your beautiful boys!
I’ve written this before, but just a reminder to others what a blessing you have been to our family! My life totally changed one day when 1 1/2 years ago my husband of 18 years greeted me at the door as I got home from work with the news he was moving out. He then went on to clear out the bank accounts and move to another state. With his income gone, and very rare child support, I suddenly changed from a woman who could spend anything at the stores without thinking (usually almost $1000 a month), to one who was struggling to keep the lights on and feed three boys. I lucked into your site somehow, and now my stockpile is so large, I MIGHT spend $50 total each week. Because of you, this difference has made it easy to pay my bills, plus still have extra fun money. The great savings literally has helped me sleep at night, knowing I have money in the bank, and the house is fully stocked. Thank you so much for all your time and hard work, you honestly did change our lives!!:) PS: My 11 year old LOVES our ‘coupon trips’ because he gets to ‘pick 4 of those’, ‘you can have 6 of these”. He actually begs for when the next one is!
I enjoyed reading your post. Your website has helped me save alot of money and even have more food in my house. My 10year old son really gets a kick out of watching the amount owed go down as the coupons come off the total. He calls his grandma after every trip to tell her how much we saved. One day at publix he saw the poptarts were bogo and that there was a 1/2 fiber ones he got all excited and was telling me look mom they are only 1.39 for two can i get them. There was a another couple looking at the poptart and he made sure to tell them about the deal and they made a comment on what a smart shopper he was. And now my two year old is obssed with grabing blinkies. Thank you so much for posting all the deals. I have 3 kids and work 40hrs a week and am taking two college courses each semester, if it were not for your posting I would not be able to do this.
Thanks so much for sharing, Michelle. Your site is the ultimate resource. Last week, as I was leaving Publix, I heard the cashier announce to her coworkers, “That lady is the best couponer I’ve ever seen.” I chalk it up to old.iheartpublix.com!
Hi Michelle, I am happy to see you. I have been following this website from early this year. Thanks for all you do.
Michelle, Thanks for sharing. I have been a daily follower of your blog for over a year now and I enjoy telling others about it too. I know it is a tremendous amount of work. Please know that it is appreciated greatly. I have cut my grocery bill by 75%! The clerks are always in awe of how I do it! I tell them – start with old.iheartpublix.com. Keep up the fantastic work. I look forward to reading your posts!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about you and your busy life. I am so thankful that you take the time to do the site!! I check often through the day as I have a 2-year-old as well. I started my own business (Mommy Maintenance Service), and I had a similar epiphany when I spent over $200 in a trip with not very much to show for it!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless you!
It’s awesome to learn a little about you and your sweet family. Thanks for sharing with all of us this, and for all your hard work in keeping this great site up. My husband is a “computer guy” and it is a blessing since I, like you, can’t speak the computer language easily:0! You have a true talent in writing and it is always a joy to check your site!
Ditto on the thanks for all you do! I have learned to get my “shopping high” off the great deals you highlight on your site and not off buying things elsewhere. I can shop and get tons of stuff for free or mostly free! Keep it up! Please know you are appreciated and admired!
AWWWWWW…… Now that really made me smile. I am a working mother of two boys, and my husband and I have been separated for 1 year now. He hasnt made any financial contributions to our household in over 6 months. I cant begin to describe how much you have helped me be able to provide things for my boys that I would have NEVER been able to do since my husband left. I am at a loss for words. I just want to give you the biggest THANK YOU that I can possibly give……
Up ’til now, you were the red-hed with pink make-up and long lashes character at the top of your page (at least, in my head). So thanks for posting the picture and introducing yourself!! (And good for you for figuring out computers/blogs/uploads/and everything else! You’re doing GREAT!!!!)
Love the post, Michelle, and getting to know more about you. Thanks for all you do. I love this blog.
Oh, its finally nice to “see” you!!!!!!!!!
Hi Michelle, good to put a face with a name. I just wanted to take the time to personally thank you for all your hard work. I am a work-at-home mom of a 3 yr old boy and a 7 yr old girl. With the economy the way it is the work has been pretty much nonexistent. We were struggling financially when I stumbled upon your website. I now spend no more than $50 a week for our family of 4 and this has dramatically helped our situation. The mindset that goes along with couponing in addition to sales has translated into other areas of life as well. Even if my job picks up to full time again, I will never go back to shopping without coupons. Thank you so much!
You are amazing and I would be lost with out your site. Thanks for all that you do.
It’s finally nice to put a picture with the person who saves me so much money!! THANK YOU!
Oh Michelle! That was wonderful to read! It is nice to see the face behind the name. Lots of hard work goes into doing a blog, and I know we all appreciate so much of what you do. You have truly helped me in my blogging venture and I am forever grateful! Oh…and I like using emoticons too ๐
I just love you.
Michelle, nice to meet you!! So thankful for all your helpful hints! Our family just started the process this month and we are already seeing our ‘stock’ grow and savings!!
Aawwww! This was really great! ๐ Now I love your blog even more! Thanks for being so transparent!!
I really appreciate all the work you put into this blog and thanks to a good friend it has changed the way I shop and deal with our family finances. There was no better feeling for me than when my fave Publix cashier said ” wow, I should learn how to do that” and “you should just have your own code” when I exceed the coupon limit! Thank you so much for all the work you do!
Just wanted to say thank you for all that you do! I have no idea how you do it but it is appreciated!!
Your boys are so cute and it’s so nice to finally put a face to the name!
You have a beautiful family and thanks for sharing a little about yourself. I’ve been a follower of your blog for about 4 mo now and couldn’t tell you how much I’ve saved. As a working mother of 3 boys, its helpful to just log on, then gather coupons, without having to do all the research. Thanks!!!
I know you won’t have time to read all of these, but YOU have changed my life! Because of you, my husband buys me thing swith all the money we have “saved” on groceries and essentials! This Mother’s Day I got a gift card to buy any handbag I want at COACH! He appreciates you, too!!!
I have read every single one and you all have made me tear up a few times ๐ Thanks to everyone for the wonderful comments…you guys know how to make a person feel WONDERFUL!!! I HEART YOU ALL!!!!
Thank you so much Michelle for the time you take on a daily basis to help all of us. I work part time in an effort to be home with my kids when they come home from school and your tips and blog helps our family budget tremendously! You are an angel and many blessings will come your way for all the nice things you have done for all of us! GOD bless and thank you, thank you, thank you! You are so appreciated! ๐
Thank you for your hard work! I work full-time and have two boys 5 and 1. I jumped into the couponing word last June about three weeks after our youngest was born. With double daycare costs it has been a sanity saver to save in other areas. Thank you! (Oh and we moved just outside of Atlanta too for a more affordable home – I only need 10 minutes to get to Publix though. lol.)
Thank you sooo much Michelle from the bottom of my heart. Couponing has honestly changed my life. I will never go back to my old ways of throwing away money thanks to you!!!!
Michelle, I am AMAZED at how far you have come with this website in such a short time and soo proud of you!!! I plug it all the time on 11 Alive and by word of mouth because it’s easy, quick and uncluttered. In my mind it’s a website equivalent of a Boutique rather than a Mall, easy to get in and out of and get what you need! I think our first interview was in fall 2008 wasn’t it? Jeb was just a baby and I carried him around the store and fed him snacks while you gave shopping tips on camera! Wow how things have changed! Thanks for making couponing and saving easier for everybody..xoxo
Val
Thank you so much for sharing yourself with the rest of us. It means a lot to be able to meet you… even if it is a virtual meeting.
Hi Michelle,
First of all thank you for everything you are doing here. I am in my 40s and I have always wanted to save money. I have tried using coupons in the past. I just feel so overwhelmed with it and can’t seem to get organized. I have a coupon wallet but I still have trouble finding the coupons I need when I get to the store. Do you have any advise or tips for organizing those valuable coupons?
Thank you SOOO much for sharing your life with us! I visit your website daily and I was always curious who the woman was behind all the blogging. You are a lifesaver for helping me save money and time! I love you site and recommend to everyone I know, keep up the GREAT work and forget the meanies!!! ๐
You and your site are amazing! Thank you so much for what you do
The new My List, is there any way it can be calculated liked the old list. e.g. total mfg. coupons, LU coupons purple and green flyers and your groceries. Now that I trying to figure out my $50.00 for the gas card, the old list was so simply, now I not sure what my coupons should total or the final amount should be.
