Amanda over at A Few Short Cuts has a treat for you guys today. This week she has come up with a meal deal that includes two meals and three recipes!! The best part is that you will only pay $2.50 per person per meal!
This week she is offering Shake and Bake Pork Chops with Zucchini Fries and Crockpot BBQ Pork! I love that Amanda made a point to show how buying a whole pork loin is a very frugal choice!! If you choose to cut your own chops you will save $1.20 per pound–I will gladly pull out a shap knife for that kind of savings!! Go HERE to check out her fabulous recipes!
Most meat departments will slice your pork loin to order for free. That saves time and trouble cutting it yourself. That is what I do at my Sam’s Club and at Publix.
Yum…I haven’t had fried pork chops in forever…or chicken or fish or potatoes with onions or, or ,or LOL…TRYING so hard to eat healthier…for the most part I am…but, just might have to make baked/fried chops now…thanks so much for ALL these recipes…I don’t thank you enough…am really liking the vegetarian blog/post recipes too…So many thing are offered here!!!!
I always buy a pork loin and cut my own boneless chops, learned that money saving little trick years ago. I pop the loin into the freezer for a bit first, to make slicing easier. We love them on the grill, with some grilled veggies…sweet bell peppers, corn on-the-cob, potatos (seasoned & wrapped in foil)…yum!!
Publix will custom cut your meat any way that you like. We do this whenever the meat is on sale. Last week I got the pork loin cut for me into chops and into cube steaks. I also got the sirloin tip cut into steaks, a roast, and some of it ground. As long as you buy the whole piece and have it cut you pay the sale price, and get it cut any way you like it, and then freeze it.
Went shopping at my Publix today and they had packs
of pork loin half for a roast and 8 sliced pork chops
wrapped ready to go. Did not even have to ask.
Pleasant suprise!
