Kai from over at Smart Couponing has listed her favorite picks for this week’s Restaurant Roundup! This week she has a couple of my favorites…I love Benihana and Buca di Beppo! Boy, I’d l0ve to be sitting in front of a hibachi grill right now…but I guess bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches will have to work 😀
We all work so hard at saving money at the grocery store –you might as well take a few minutes to ensure you save when you eat away from home too!! Be sure and visit Kai to see all the best deals for the week.
Don’t forget that Restaurant.com is offering their certificates for 80% off when you use the code FUN at checkout. This is by far my favorite way to save while eating out!!
HI!
This is amazing! I always saw this but was skeptical but for a $100 gift card at a really nice restaraunt for like $8…WOOH! lol I know you’ve gone through them before so I have a question if you don’t mind. How long do these gift cards work and have you had any problems with them not being activated? And can you use 2 as long as you reach the amount that you’re supposed to (meaning for a $25 gift card you need to spend $35, so if you want to use two you have to buy $70 worth of food and then you can use the two gift cards? Either way this is amazing! Thank you so much! We miss going out as much as we used to and this is so awesome for the every few date nights we get every month or so! Thank you!
I have never tried to use two but I bet if you have a large party you might be able to split the checks???
They are good for a year–that is why I love them. I keep them on hand so when Friday night rolls around we look through the certificates to see if anything strikes our fancy and we are good to go!! I try to stock up when they are 70% off (or better) These have saved us SO much money (and we have found some new favorite restaurants this way too!!)
Thank you thank you for posting everything! This is amazing! I am so excited! My hubby and I almost passed out when we saw a $100 gift certificate for only $6. This is going to save us so much money for Christmas too. I have a huge family, my husband has a pretty big family too so Christmas we always feel guilty not being able to afford much for anyone so we thank you so much for everything that everyone does to make this site such a lifesaver!
Restaurant.com used to be a lot better. The certificates have so many dang restrictions on them that some of them are near impossible to use. I bought one and in fine print it said “not valid for special promotions.” Very vague, and I should have clarified. So I order my food and the happy hour was 2-4-1 beer. So I order a few and when the check comes around, the waiter says the certificate won’t cover the drinks because its a promotion. Basically all of the drinks were on some kind of a “promotion.” So my bill was $10 short (of course there was a minimum purchase requirement of $35) so i had to order some expensive drink that I didn’t even want. I should have just taken the certificate back and paid regular price. Case in point – call the restaurant and ask in detail what the B.S. restrictions mean.
Hello! I am thrilled about this but I’m having a hard time understanding, once you purchase the restaurant.com certificate how do you redeem them for a restaurant giftcard?? Help! I really want to take advantage of this opportunity!
Thanks!
When you purchase a certificate on their site, you just print it and take it with you to the restaurant. I have never seen anything on the site about a different way to get the certificate. Usually the certificate amount is for a purchase of 2x that amount, example is a $100 certificate usually has a minimum purchase of $200. I have yet to see a certificate that is valid on a Friday or Saturday night. Any restaurant I have purchased for has always said valid Sun-Thurs only, excludes holidays and special events, so like even if New Years Eve falls outside of a weekend you wouldn’t be able to use the certificate because there would be a special event. I am attaching the link to their terms and they have a FAQ section also.
