I get so many emails from you guys asking about the various things that I do to bring in a few bucks here and there.  My buddy Kai over at Smart Couponing wrote a fabulous in depth explanation of one of my favorite programs–Inbox Dollars

What is Inbox Dollars?

  • Basically they are an online membership club that pay the members for participating in online activities like reading emails, taking surveys, sometimes even playing games. The membership is free to join and each member receives a $5 bonus just for signing up.

Is it legit?

  • yes they are 100% legit, lots of people get paid from them every month. But you do get lots of emails from time to time, therefore try not to use your primary email address for this, just read all the instructions carefully, and you should be able to make a few bucks in no time. Another thing to watch out is all the offers they present you, they do pay you cash back when you shop through some of their networks, but I find that it is not as good a deal as I thought, maybe just a few, but I usually just stick to reading emails or taking straight forward surveys.

How much can I earn from Inbox Dollars?

  • First of all, they pay you $5.00 just for signing up, it really depends on how much you work (reading emails, taking surveys, etc etc). Getting paid for a few bucks a month is pretty easy, but I also personally know some bloggers who made $30-$40 a month from inbox dollars.

Ways to earn from Inbox Dollars:

  • Read Emails: They pay 3 cents for each email you click on.
  • Survey’s: They pay $1 for each survey you do each day.
  • Trial Offers: They pay around $0.50 to $1.50 when you sign up for their survey programs, free new product reviews and trial offers, etc
  • Play Games: Some merchants will pay you to try and play their new games and get your opinion on it.
  • Invite Friends: They also have a refer a friend program
This program will not get your rich, I see this as snack money for myself, and I basically just do the emails and surveys, I don’t do the trial offers cause I hate reading all the terms and conditions (yes you do need to read them all before entering any trial just in case if there’s any catch).

Thanks so much Kai!!  I am totally in agreement with Kai in that I use my sign up email address rather than my primary email address in an attempt to keep my inbox clean.  I can usually request a $30 check every month or so.  So– no, you will not get rich…but I will happily add it to my entertainment budget to help my funds stretch a bit farther!!
