Don’t forget that today’s the day to send in your questions for “Ask I Heart Publix”!
Your questions can be about anything – basic couponing information, how to use the site, finding coupons, other ways to save, whatever you’re curious about! Every Wednesday I’ll answer 10 of your questions. There’s also a new tab at the top of the site where all past questions and answers are stored.
Keep asking, and we’ll keep answering! Email your questions to contactiheartpublix at gmail dot com.
Also, if you’d like to be featured on the new Reader Spotlight, email the idea for your post (or your completed post!) to contactiheartpublix at gmail dot com.

How do you get the Pulix sneak peak and is there any way that you can post several weeks ahead of time as I like to look ahead to know what coupons to for and what I can plan on. I do this with CVS and Wags.
How do you feel about keeping a stockpile in the garage? I know that some things, like paper products and laundry soap might be OK, but its summertime, in Florida, meaning HOT and SUPER HUMID. I’m not sure it’s safe for canned goods or plastic containers to get so hot or boxed food getting invaded by those lovely, native palmetto bugs! I just don’t have enough room in the house and would love to utilize the garage.
First, thank you so much for be willing to start the check mark tags so us newbies (or ppl like me that have been doing it for months & don’t have much, if any, of a stockpile) can learn how & when to stockpile. My question is, can you also do this for the CVS/Walgreens/RiteAid ads on your “I heart Saving Money” website? I know that most people get their household/personal care items for free or really cheap. Also, would you possibly be able to list here YOUR buy now, stockpile prices on some popular items like meat, deodorant, cereal, diapers, toothpaste, etc…?
why are your publix managers such greedy douche bags who love exploiting people and reducing and/or halting raises?
This is not an official Publix site!! Michelle merely uses this blog to compile the best deals in the weekly ads/flyers to help others save money. You’d have to take your rant to the actual Publix website if you’d like an answer.
As a coupon beginner (3 months or so) I am still starting my stockpile. How long do you think (or did it take you) to get to the point where you really only needed to buy the staples for your house.. such as Milk, eggs, cheese, etc..? I have a good amount but nothing close to what would allow me to not buy things during a week. Right now I am still spending $200 a week and sometimes over that because I cant resist those deals.. I also was wondering how much of something do you think is a good amount to keep stockpiled? such as cans, cereals, household items, etc..?
Thank you soo much!
I had a problem today. I counted out six of the Electrasol coupons, but, when she scanned them, she only counted five. I could not find the sixth one anywhere and she went through her stack and could only find five. I asked her if they might be sticking together and she acted all offended. The cashier said she worked at Customer Service and was ringing up the coupons with the items rather than at the end because they had problems with coupon fraud. It almost sounded like she was suspicious of me because I had so many coupons. I counted out the six and she could only find five. I was at a loss for what I should have done. I didn’t want to hold up the line so I had her take off the sixth Electrasol packet and then finished up the transaction. Suggestions for what I should have done?
I was thinking about starting to file my inserts whole like you (or Christy) said you do but my question is how do you know what is in your stock of coupons for such things as a clearance item or unadvertised item you so happen to come across in the store that wasn’t on your list? Do you just know what you have by memory?
