Woo hoo…I just noticed that Restaurant.com is at 80%!! You can score a $25 gift certificate for only $2 when you use the code BIG at checkout!
Many of you ask how the certificates work…so let’s do the math for a certificate on sale for 80% that requires a $35 purchase:
My family goes to the restaurant and we order $35 worth of food. Once the bill arrives I give the waitress the gift certificate and now my bill is only $10 + tax and tip! So I will pay approximately $20($10 + $7 tip + tax) for a $35 dinner!! Now add the $2 that I paid for the gift certificate and I have paid $22 for the meal!! That means I saved 35% using the Restaurant.com gift certificate! I’d say that is a great deal and a perfect way to stretch your entertainment budget!
Make sure you read the fine print on the individual restaurant requirements. I got burned one time because we were required to purchase two drinks and we bought one and were unable to use the certificate. Further, for me, not that many places near me participate so make sure to look at the list before buying.
Thanks for posting this. I have wanted to try the website. Do you know roughly how long the expiration date is on the certificates? I know it will vary by restaurant. I bought 2 , but I’m too nervous to print if it is a “print and go this day”.
They do not expire, you can use them anytime, says it right on certificate. We just used one we printed in December.
I am going to try it this time…
