The winner of the $50 Publix Bakery giftcard is Erin!

Erin says:
I use Publix french bread and corn muffins to make my Thanksgiving stuffing. The bakery will slice the bread into cubes for me and I cut up 4 corn muffins and let both the bread and muffins sit out for a day or two. Once that is done here is the recipe:
Saute 1 lbs of sausage until brown (either bulk or remove from casings). Remove from pan. Saute 2 diced onion and 1 c. diced celery in butter. Add i tablespoon each of fresh sage, rosemary and thyme. Add 1 diced apple and cook until soft. Add salt and pepper and parsley to taste add sausage back to pan and add bread and corn muffins. Add chicken stock until moist. Put in baking dish. Bake 375 for 30 to 40 minutes.

I love to buy the rainbow bread at Publix. You can do so many things with it. Last year when my daughter’s pre k class was learning the letter P, I ordered a pink and purple swirl loaf and made Pink and Purple Peanut Butter sandwiches for the class. The kids love it when I order green for St. Patty’s Day or in the fall I make orange sandwiches and cut them out with my pumpkin cookie cutter. The possibilities with the bread are endless because they will make and color or ccombination of colors you want. This is by far my favorite Publix Bakery item.
