Orlando folks…be sure and check your paper today as numerous readers have found a $5 off $50 coupon stuck to the front of their newspaper. Thanks to jk smith, Laura, Tanya & SVK & anyone I might have missed 🙂
Oh man! My husband has been up working in Orlando for three days now. I should have had him get a paper on his way out…LOL.

Noooooooooo!!!!! I just got home from my Weekly Publix run and didn’t have a chance to look at my paper yet. Yep there it is right on the front page. Good thing it’s valid until 9/20. Guess I’ll have to use it next week.
We had a $5 off $25 coupon for Piggly Wiggly stuck to the front of the Charleston paper on Thursday. Naturally I used it at Publix. 😉

I have been couponing for a year and I have NEVER gotten any of these! I live in the suburbs of Atlanta. I am so jealous!

Just be prepared, the Orlando stores on the east side of town are getting really strict with their coupon policy. There have been too many people abusing the system, copying coupons, … so now the District Managers decision is too only accept the Albertson’s and Publix $5 off coupons after all other coupons, so you have to have a $50 remaining balance to get the $5 off. Check with your customer service desk in East Orlando before you shop.

What stores are you shopping at? I shop out in Lake Mary and haven’t had any problems. I sometimes stop in the one on Aloma (near Goldenrod). Truthfully, it helps if you have “your cashier” at the store. I always go to one of two people and they pass everything through without question.
The albertson’s coupons now say “after all coupons” which sucks, but I don’t think the people at my Publix have noticed yet 🙂

So far the stores that are doing this are the McCulloch/Alafaya, and the Avalon Store. The McCulloch store near UCF was extremely rude about it. Only taking one Target coupon per transaction, no more Whole Foods coupons, etc… I know stores are allowed to change their policies, but don’t be rude. Several of my friends were treated very badly there and we all abide by the rules they put out there.

I hope this “district” doesn’t include all of Orlando. Anyway, I just used a $5/$30 coupon I got in the mail (thanks to Winn-Dixie and Save-Rite closures in my area) today. My total was $31 before coupons and I was able to use the $5 off coupon first. I don’t know if I will manage to spend $50 at Publix to use the $5 off coupon that came in the newspaper. I get my meat from Winn-Dixie, so it’s hard to reach that threshold. I am also on a low-carb diet and single, so a lot of my foods perishable, preventing me from stocking up.
