This is a good one guys!! Today only Restaurant.com is offering gift certificates for 90% when you use the code WOW at checkout! That means you can score a $25 gift certificate for only a buck! If you have been wanting to try them out now is your chance! For all of us who know how great this program is…now is the time to stock up!!
The certificates are good for a year so think about what you will use and what you will be giving as a gifts. I am thinking you might want to grab them soon before your favorite restaurant certificate is sold out!! Don’t forget to grab any certificates that you might use when on vacation too!!
Remember to check the requirements as each restaurant may differ!
hey– i dont know how to do this–does it really work? and is it only 4 private resturant or chains– i want to do this–but scare i’ll do it wrong.
If you go to the restaurant.com website and put in your zipcode you can search for the places that offer certificates. It easy.
I just got my first one and it was easy. I selected which one I wanted and put in the promo code and got a $10 certificate for 40 cents! (I know it’s not the 90% off one but the $10 deal was better than the $25 one). You have to read what the conditions are for each restaurant. I got one for Landlubbers in Cooper City and for a $10 certificate I need to spend $20 not with lunch specials. If it was the $25 one I would have to spend $50 on dinner. They’ve got a bunch of random restaurants. I didn’t really see any chains but I didn’t look very hard.
I’ve used these before, and like Whitney said, you have to read the details. There is almost always a minimum purchase price, like you must spend $35 if you’re going to use the $25 and pay a tip, but it’s still a great deal. You pay $1 for the certificate, plus $10 for the food, plus a tip (which you’d pay anyway) and end up spending about $11 for $35 worth of food.
Most of the restaurants I’ve seen (Nashville area) are local, small-ish ones. It’s great if you like to try some place new! You can click the Menu button on the Restaurant.com website to see what they offer so you’ll know what you’re getting into.
I’ve been happy so far and can’t complain about the great deals. I got $85 worth of certs for $6 last week.
Just remember that these deals come up ALL THE TIME. Sign up for their email blasts, then wait for an 80% deal (or better) before buying anything.
Got mine for $1!! Came with a minimum purchase of $50. That was a disappointment. Thanks anyway. Will use for a group outing.
I see these all the time but they aren’t for any restaurants around here that we actually eat at. If they would add El Charro to the list….Oh boy! LOL!
Yeah. I have the same problem where I live. I think there’s one place to even choose from! Luckily we’re going back to my husband’s hometown of Fort Lauderdale this weekend where there are a ton of options.
awesome! spent $10 for $225 worth of gift certificates!
Although this offer is only valid today, here’s the LOZO on how to make this discount last year-round: instead of buying a certificate to a specific restaurant, buy yourself a “Restaurant.com Gift Certificate” for a great price! Send the certificate to yourself and you can convert it to the restaurant of your choice whenever you want, with no expiration date! See LOZO.com for a step-by-step guide. These make great gifts too, so stock up!
Here’s a link to their step-by-step guide. Otherwise it’s not very easy to find unless you’re willing to click around a bit.
Giving it a try need some suggestions for the ATL
Oh Honey there is anything and everything for Atlanta!!
Highland Tap to Anthonys to Justins to Copelands…tons of great places.
I usually grab a few that are NOT in my immediate area just so I can make my hubbie take me somewhere different 🙂
If you like steak, try Blackstone over near Smyrna. Wonderful food. My husband and I have been three times. Calamari is good, too.
We have 3 teenagers and we like to eat out on the weekend so we can “catch up” with them. We will usually spend 60-75 on a meal for 5 at a chain, sometime more as my boys eat very manly sized meals. I just got $625 worth of gift certificates for $31. I bought some $25, $50, $75 and a couple of $100 for some higher places in Melbourne at the Hilton. We love to do Brunch there and is is pricey but worth, so %50 0ff is great for us.
I bought one for a trip we’re planning… there isn’t really anything near us, so I checked areas where we travel.
What an amazing deal!! The website is running slow but you can still purchase. I just did!!! Thank you.
Hey, just a heads up, if you go to Ebates.com and order from restaurant.com, you will get cash back into your Ebates account (you must sign up for Ebates). Love this site. Ordered $300.00 of gift certificates for $30.00, and then got a rebate of $9.00 from Ebates. Total OOP $21.00. Check it out, it is so easy. By the way, in the Orlando area, Rolando’s cuban cafe in Casselberry will no longer take these gift certificates as of 10-04-10. Was there Tuesday night, and they have signs posted everywhere. Dissapointing as this is a fantastic restaurant, and I still have 3 more gift certificates that I won’t use.
