Can we use Target $/$$ that print out of the register machine at Publix? I have read about people using the ones like that from Walgreens (the RR’s).
Also, it seems to me the easiest way to check out is when a manager is at the register! When I see them there- I always go right to their lane. It’s just easier because they can do any overrides they need to do, and it also seems they take any coupon I hand them without question! The cashiers always seem to check a little more carefully then the manager in my store, like they are nervous they would get in trouble for using coupons that were wrong. Do you prefer checking out with a manager instead of a regular cashier?
Also- does everyone else’s store accept store brand coupons? Mine has been, now I know from asking the CS desk. This is exciting because Target let me print the $1 produce Q’s and also .50 off a deli item and .50 off a bakery item….(archer farms brand). One of my favorite parts of my shopping trips us picking my items to use these coupons with!
Krystal my Publix does take Target coupons. But the coupons like the .50 deli coupon or the 1.00 bakery coupon they won’t take because the coupon states off Archer Farms or Market Pantry. If it didn’t say that they would take it. I used those 2 coupons once, and the next time I tried that is when they wouldn’t let me. The same with the water coupon that was out a while back, even though it was for target brand water, publix wouldn’t let me use it towards publix brand water. Otherwise I have had no problem using them.
My question is that when Publix has an item as BOGO, and I have a manufacturer coupon and a target coupon that is $/2 do I need to really buy 2 BOGO deals? For instance on the Planters deal this week, I have 2 $1 man. coupons and a target $2/2 coupon that I want to use for the overage. Does anyone know if they will take it on one deal?
My Publix lets me use the $1/2 item coupons with B1G1 one items…I only have to buy one of the items! =)
And they do let me use the deli and bakery ones on the Publix items, so I just grab something cheap- like a small Mac Salad or small thing of donuts =)
I use the bakery ones for the 1/2 loaves of bakery bread…priced between $1.30 and $1.80 usually. I’ve noticed the 1/2 loaves at 2 of my Publix bakeries.
Because Publix allows you to stack coupons, you should have been able to buy 2 Planters and use 2 of the $1/1 MQ and 1 of the $2/2 Target to get them for free with overage.
I plan on doing the planters deal tomorrow, but wanted to know what the “right” thing to do is. Thanks for letting me know I can do it with just one deal. I wish my store would let me use the .50 target deli or $1 bakery items, but they won’t. 🙁 oh well, I get good deals still, lol.
What about the best portal to print Internet coupons? I’ve been using mypoints.com, but I’m wondering if there are any other sites out there with better kick-back deals. Which sites do you use to print coupons.com and smartsource coupons?
Thanks,
Margaret
All righty…
I just saw this posted elsewhere….
Please weigh in with your opinion.
You have a BIGI coupon. You buy two items. Can you use a $ off coupon on the item you are buying?
It is my understanding that you canNOT, as the B1G1 requires 2 items to fulfill the requirements and a second $ off coupon would be like having 2 coupons attach to the same item.
I have never had trouble at any store – CVS, Kroger or Publix using a coupon for money off one with a B1G1 coupon.
You should be able to as the BOGO coupon attaches to the free item.
I asked this several places last week because I had an issue doing it. While one cashier had no issue with it one week, the next week a different cashier gave me an issue over it and made me buy an extra item.
I have a question for you Michelle, not sure if you have ever asked or will be able to answer: Why doesn’t Publix have a national coupon policy like some stores do – we all know how individual Publix stores and the states they are in differ in their policies, but why not a national policy? I try to follow the rules, and feel horrible when I am told I can’t use the coupons on a deal, so I wish their was some good policy to go to.
Cooperate is in the process right now of making a policy effective for ALL Publix stores.
Uh oh, that kinda scares me,
Usually, each district has a written policy. You might want to ask your CSM or SM to check with their DM for a printed copy of it for your future shopping trips.
My question is what Publix will do regarding the Art Calendar this year, after last year’s unnecessary fiasco. I used my Calendar all year long (though there’s an ad in my flyer this week for $5/50 anyway!) and would love to get another one for the new year.
I have a few favorite cashiers and managers that I would love to thank for their excellent service with a Christmas gift. Is this appropriate? A friend told me it could be considered ethically “wrong” to give them a gift. If it is acceptable, what would you suggest (or what value should I limit gifts to?)?
Also, is there something you can suggest as a thank you gift to a whole store’s employees? (I’m lucky, I love everyone that works at my Publix!!)
What do you do when you’ve gotten home (or your are just in the car on the way home) and look at your reciept to find they missed a coupon (like a $5/50 competitor coupon)?
Well, you asked! When I look at your weekly totals, I see that you purchased 20 of some items. How do you do that? Our Publix here has a limit on 3 BOGO deals, which means 6 items. How do you get 20?
Our Publix has also limited how many of the same store coupons we can use in a transaction. So I can only use one comp./Publix coup for an item, regardless of how many I printed out and wanted to use. This also limits how many of an item I pick up since I can’t get multiple at the super low price.
How do you get 20 coupons for something? If you order coupons from one of those couponing sites, how long is the time period between when you order them and when you receive them.
There’s a starting point.
Thanks for your great website! What a great resource for moms who are trying to do what’s best for their families!
Ooooh! Also, what’s the best way to get the best deals on meat, milk, veggies, & eggs. I’ve had the most trouble getting those at the lowest price or even finding coupons for them!
How do you end up with so many giftcards? Are there certain websites that you go to to earn these giftcards or are they actually gifts from others?
