Alrighty guys…it has been a week since I posted the new spreadsheet. Like I said when I first listed it, I knew there would be bugs and modifications would be necessary.
With so many devices and operating systems out there is is very hard to ensure that everything will work perfectly while in the testing phase. So, I decided just to throw it out there to see what happened. I wanted to let you all know that I have read all of your comments–the nice ones and the not so nice ones 😉
Just to make my life a little easier and to make sure that I am hearing everyone’s likes, dislikes and everything in between…I am asking you to share your comments as well as any issues that you might be having here in the comment section.
If you are having any issues I need you to give details on the specific issue and let me know what operating system you are on so that Jonathan can try to diagnose the problem.
I am planning on bringing back the green check mark for stock up pricing and we will be adding an option for text only feature so that those of you who prefer to see the long list all at once can do that easily. Please understand that there is NO WAY I can please everyone! I will read all the comments and make adjustments that need to be made. I want this to be something that is useful and helpful!!
I know there are many of you that will happily jump in to give an opinion…but some might not. So I am going to do a giveaway for a $50 Amazon gift card just for sharing your opinion/experience. On Monday 1/3 around 11 pm I will choose one comment as the winner (random drawing…so don’t worry you can be honest) I want to hear from everyone…likes, dislikes, technical issues or whatever!! If you like it just the way it is then you can tell me that too!
yay! I’m first! 🙂 I think the new spreadsheet is awesome! THANK YOU!!!
I like it! Thank you so much.
nice
I like the website as it. Think it is perfect and am so thankful for it.
I like it. It is taking me a little bit to get used to it. Maybe I haven’t played with it enough yet…but I am not sure how to change the prices to fit my Florida expensive prices. I’m always jealous of the ATL price 🙂
I have always had to go on the the Publix web site to confirm the Florida(local) prices. I know you can’t make miracles. I’ll use the spread sheet then go to Publix.com and look at the weekly ad and hand write in the changes.
I like it just the way it is! Thank you!!
I love it! I like how the items are grouped together. I do wish there was a way to see what is a “Super Deal” without having to go to the different spreadsheet. Thank you for all that you do!
I like it but it’s sort of hard to read and understand what the little symbols are.
My husband and I both really like the new spread sheet. It saves us tons of time, and we have fun with it together 🙂 Thanks! We appreciate it!
I am getting used to the new spreadsheet. I am glad that you are bringing back the green checkmark. Change happens all the time, and I guess that I just have to welcome it with open arms–rather the open coupon binder.
I love the ability to check off what I want to buy. It is fantastic, and will make preparing for my shopping trips so much quicker. Thanks!
I really like the new spreadsheet, but as with all change, sometimes takes some time to get used to…. Thanks for all that you do….. We really do appreciate it !!!!!!!!!!!
I like the new spreadsheet. I wish it had more options for calculating for those of us in FL – the land of true BOGO, but other than that, it’s awesome!
The spreadsheet is OK – But I wish I could save it and come back and work on it. I think having the text only feature will help! Thanks for the hard work!
I like it very much. Looking forward to the green checks, other than that…it is a big improvement. Thank you.
I love the new spreadsheet! I also like the option of using the long list. It’s makes it easier to find everything I need quickly.
I like it just fine
I like the new spreadsheet. So glad for the checkmarks coming back. You are doing an awesome job!!
I have no problems whatsoever with the changes/upgrades. I’m just thankful for all of the HARD WORK you put into this site!!! 😀
I really like this website. It is very helpful when I prepare my shopping trips and matching the coupons with the sale items. It works great so far.
Thanks a Million!
I am always open for change. I think with time it will all work out fine.
The spreadsheet is great. I am glad the green checkmark is coming back, that was the only thing I was really missing. I just checked off my new list tonight for 1/1, yay.
Either way works and I am fine with it…I am flexible. Electronics sometime have a mind of their own. 🙂
I like the format, it’s very clear and easy to read/interpret. I haven’t had a chance to watch the video, but I will be doing that tomorrow hopefully. I do like that you can jump to each section without having to scroll down. I like the BOGO icons too, so you know when you are under BOGO and not just in general sale.
I like the idea of the green check mark.
I think anything you do rocks! I love that you are taking your own time to try to provide us options that will make it easier for us! Thank you so much. I will always use your site no matter what you change…I like this spreadsheet, and I like the old way. I like it anyway, as long as I keep seeing the sales early on Monday!
I think it is fabuless. I had a hard time with the old one being a little more time consuming and this one is wonderful. It saves me so much time and effort!
I like the new spreadsheet. I do wish that it could be saved or exported into Excel, but other than that I think it’s great.
Looks very nice. My folks are headed to FL where they will have a Publix. I will have to show my mom first.
Like!!
I found it a lot easier to use compared to the old one. I tried using the old one in the past but gave up on it. I’ve tried this one and it’s a lot easier to see the deals and see the savings. Thanks for your hard work helping us save money!
Where can I find the new spreadsheet?
I like it. I wouldnt even know what to suggest, but I do like the green check.
I love te new spreadsheet! I have no problems understanding it 🙂
I love the printable checklists! I’d like the actual item to stand out a little more than the coupons underneath it tho – and maybe only quantity being by the item and not by the coupons – it’s a little overwhelming in the columns! Also, would love to be able to click through everything without having to choose each category. Maybe once the spreadsheet is printed it can just have the headings over the items but not necessarily separate spreadsheets to click through when making your list.
Love the changes tho!! Your site is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE your spreedsheet.. it is so organized and simple!! please keep it its perfect
I like the idea of the spreadsheet, but it is difficult to view on an iPod Touch iOS 4.2. The smaller screen makes it hard to view, and when I click on the different categories, sometimes the entire page reloads and I have to start over from the beginning. I am looking forward to the return of the text only version option.
Thanks again for all you do!
I really like it but I wish there was a way to print it with everything but the totals part. Sometimes, I change the amount of things I buy after I print or even while in the store and having it already set when it prints is a little frustrating. I LOVE that you can add and remove coupons as you need but I would love to be able to do it without it trying to figure out exactly what I’m going to pay. Please don’t hate me! I LOVE this site and send people here ALL the time but I was so excited when I saw your lists go printable but I really can’t and don’t use it the way it is now 🙁
I like the new spreadsheet!!
I think anytime there is change we have to allow adjustment time to the new….but so far I like what I see….thanks!
I just appreciate that you do this so I will say however is easiest for YOU to provide the info works for me!
I just found your website so I am not familiar with your old spreadsheet. I could not find a video with instructions then when I went to the spreadsheet it seemed to work except for printing. The first page had header information printed over the spreadsheet then all comments also printed. Thanks for a great website!
I dont care so much for how each category has to be viewed one at a time, but its not THAT big of a deal.
Also, I LOVE that the Love to Shop/Save here catagory is included right with the ad.
One other thing I noticed was that when I make the spread sheet (I am in the land of TRUE BOGO)…Im not sure if I need to change the quanitiy and total prices for the items….It says 1 but i need 2 of all the BOGO’s…..the spreadsheet thinks I am in 1/2 Price BOGO land and Im unsure of how to change it so its right for TRUE BOGO. Could you add a True/Half Price BOGO option on the bottom, like the Coupons Double Option????? PLEASE!!!!!
I like the new feature! It is so helpful! The only suggestion I have is to make the fonts smaller on the printable list (or reformat the columns). My list only had 7 or 8 items on it, but took 5 pages to print.
I have no issues with anything. The speadsheet is easy to follow.
Love it!!
I like the spreadsheet. It takes less time than copying and pasting the items I’m getting and then deleting coupons I don’t have. I also like that the green check mark is coming back! I haven’t figured out if you have a different icon for store and manufacture coupons yet. I need to look at it a little closer still maybe.
I think it’s awesome! I was missing the check-mark, so glad to hear you’re bringing it back! That’s a great feature! And the text list is a nice idea, too, for when my computer is being stupid. 😀 I think it’s a great improvement and appreciate all the work you put into it! Great job! 🙂
I pretty much like everything the way it is. I do not have a printer to print coupons so making my list this way helps. I shop at Publix even though I can’t afford it anymore so buy one get one free helps. Happy New Year!
I have not used your spreadsheet but a couple of times, but I LOVE IT!! It is very easy to navigate through! Thanks for all of your hard work!
I think the spreadsheet is ok, but prefer the old long list. I work on my list over a day or two and not in one sitting. The old way I would just copy and paste into word, save and work on when I got a chance. I think the spreadsheet is great for those who already do excel but I don’t go that far, and just want to create my list and see the matchups. Thanks for always introducing new ideas though!
That’s exactly the way I do my shopping list. Over several sittings and not all at once. My kids don’t leave me alone long enough to get it done in one session.
I agree here too. I love the list and how it works. but I had to come back to it several times. I figured i’d be able to play with it and make up a new system.
I LOVE what you do!! Thank you so much for all the time you put into saving my family money! I enjoy the spreadsheet and am thankful for it!
I Love the new format — the one thing that I would love to see is the “green checks” by items that are good stock up items. I am still new to couponing and can use any help I can get to stockpile my food. Thank you for all the time you take on helping us save money!
works great for me! like most people have already stated, the green check mark will be nice to have back. also, the icons describing what kind of coupon it is are a bit small and hard to read. generally speaking, can i just thank you for doing what you do! i don’t know what i’d do without your website! thanks so much!
I really like it, and I’m glad you’re bringing the green check marks back.
I love it! Used it the other day and it was awesome!!Helped me save $129!! Wheeeee!
I like the end product – very nice compact printed list. I did prefer the Excel sheet for myself but I’ve very familiar with Excel and modified it for my own use. I liked being able to create my list over several day and this new method has to be done all in “one sitting”. I don’t usually have a long period of uninterrupted time to work on my grocery shopping list.
This is very slow on one of my computers but much faster on this one. If it was as fast as in your tutorial video it’d all be golden, but my computers and/or internet connection isn’t that fast. It’d doable, though. When I click on a category, there is quite a long pause before it opens.
I notice that the lists are getting more detailed each time and I will like the coupon symbols much better once I start to recognize them at a glance. Right now I still have to stop and squint at the screen to see what they are. 🙂 It will get easier over time.
I think adding the green checks (or whatever symbol you select) will be a great time saver for us.
It’d also be nice if I could do all the coupon editing at the same time as I check the item. I have to go through the list twice this way – once to select my items and then a second time to select my coupons.
I also agree with someone who suggested a “select all” option then we could print the whole list if we wish. What about an option to download the list in a notepad format or something? Pros and cons to every option, I know.
Overall, I think this is much better than a version I’d seen on another site I used to use. This is far more usable and much faster. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into it and for your efforts to try to accommodate all of our various opinions and wishes!
I love your site and I think your awesome too! I will get used to the spreadsheet, I have my own methods so its hard to change but… that will not stop me from visiting your site 20+ times a day lol!
It looks good. One thing I would like is seeing the final price with coupons, but I know that is difficult if the store doesn’t double coupons. Thanks for the hard work.
I think the new spreadsheet is great. Very helpful.
I like it, and like the others have said, I’m glad the check marks are coming back. Those are really helpful.
I really like the new spreadsheet really nice!!
I absolutely love the new format. It helps me compile my shopping list even faster. Thanks for such a great help to all of us couponers.
I just typed a LONG explanation of what I’m having difficulty with (I’m a browser issue person – see facebook). When I hit submit, it said error. So here’s the short version – feel free to email me if you need a longer version. I use an eMac with Firefox and the site only comes up mobile. I click standard, comes up fine. I click any other tab, goes back to mobile. If I click standard on that tab, brings back to homepage. I went on about how awesome you are as well. And you are. Hopefully it submits this time. – it will – last time I put my email in the website spot, not the mail spot. oops. Oh and the reason I can see your site fine now is I’m on a laptop at home – but I don’t have a printer here, which is why I desperately need it to work on my work computer. THANK YOU!
Printed well, no problems
I know you have put enormous work into this change and it is very valuable for many…however, I am too old and slow to contemplate all. I like the old way and am happy to read you will also have the text list like before(with matchups, I hope.) Know you cannot please everyone so I will do my best to work with whatever you decide. As always, bless you
I have to agree with the poster before me…. I really need to be able to work on my list in more than 1 sitting. I’m new to couponing so I’m still trying to get the hang of it and get my methods together.
I am liking the new format better and better. I think the symbols are a bit small – but I do like the idea of a visual symbol. I also wish I didn’t have to click each section open to see it (Dairy,Frozen etc.) But these are just small things – overall it is great.
green checks are a must! otherwise awesome!
I LOVE your site!! I am still getting used to the new spreadsheet, honestly. Some of the symbols are confusing. Depending on what computer I am on (I guess the browser matters) it can look off and jump all over the page. I have even found some of the items listed over the comments section. I am sure this is browser relatedor user error! lol
Thank you for all you do…whatever format it comes in, it still allows me to save a TON of money. Keep up the great work!
I appreciate the work you put into this site – i am one who just like the plain old lists more than any thing!!!
I like it, but would prefer the old version as an option since it’s much faster for me to scroll through the different departments the old way.
I am new to ‘couponing’. So, I do not have anthing to really compare the spreadsheet to…but, I think it’s easy to read and so very HELPFUL! Thanks for your efforts!! Your site is in my top three fav websites…right in the middle of slickdeals.net and facebook.com is old.iheartpublix.com!! yah! Happy New Year!
I like the new format except for having to click on the seperate sections to see items.
Thank you for all you do. It makes my life easier that you have done the leg work that I can’t do because of work and school. My bottom line is much better because of you.
Thank you again,
Samantha
I love it! And I’m glad you are bringing back the green checkmark!
Overall, I like the new spreadsheet. I do miss the check marks, so I am glad those are coming back. One thing I noticed is when I use the spreadsheet on Internet explorer, you can’t use the arrow keys to scroll down. When you do, it jumps down and skips over several items. This isn’t a big deal unless you don’t know it does it. Also, I noticed that when I click on a new topic it sometimes takes me to the comments instead of to the section I clicked on. None of these are a big deal, just wanted to let you know. Thank you for everything you do to help us save money!
I love the new spreadsheet. Your site has helped me save so much over the last few months. Happy New Year
I love the new spreadsheet. It allows me to choose what coupons I’m using, or not, and add in new coupons.
I like the new format, it is very easy on the eyes when PRINTED OUT! What I don’t necessarily like, but can put up with, is the way you have to click on the section to see the list. It can get hard to keep up with what you’ve looked at and what you haven’t. I think it would be easier with one long list. I used the S. Saver site to print out my list, but will definitely be using this one from now on. It all prints on one page!
So far, I like all of the improvements. Having to click on each category to see the list is a little tedious, but I think it’s because it’s something I’m not used to. Thank you for striving to make better what is already a most awesome website!
I like the old list. I like to scroll through all the departments at one time (rather than clicking on each to open them) and appreciate you bringing the green check marks back.
So I have three ideas! First when I add a custom item and then go to print it, it cuts off half of what I have typed in so that would be helpful if it was fixed. I can see everything thats not customized but only half of what I wrote. I even tried to print my list in landscape and it still cut off what I had put in. Second, it would be helpful to be able to change the prices to our area b/c in FL where I live the prices are higher than what u have listed. Third, bring back the checkmarks! I think the spreadsheet overall is a great tool, once u get the little kinks fixed it will be perfect. I use Windows Vista and internet explorer!
I Love what you do!! Thank you so much for all the time you put into saving my family money! I enjoy the spreadsheet and am thankful for it!
I love the new spreadsheet! It is such a great help for me and my family and just make shopping and saving money so much easier. Thanks!!
Viewing it on the iPhone 4 the titles get truncated when long and details are lost…
The only problem I had was when I went to print the list. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get it to print.
Thank you so much for what you do. Tomorrow (New Year’s Eve) marks a year since I started depending on you and using coupons to the max! One day soon I will write you and share the impact it has made for my family, as well as the women and children at the program I work at. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I think it is a great thing. However, it seems to get stuck at times it seems. After I read the BOGOs, and click to go down the page, the other sections go in hiding. When I click the section, it does nothing, so I cannot see the whole list. I am on Windows 7 and am using Internet Explorer 8. No matter what I heart I heart publix!! 🙂
I would give you a high five right now if I could. you are an amazing woman.. a mom of two little ones and doing what you do on here for US!! With my husband being out of work, your site has saved me tons of money and helped so much with out grocery budget. Do what is easiest for YOU and your family. that comes first. we can roll with the punches or go elsewhere…..family first.
love ya, michelle!!
I love your lists either way!! Thanks so much for helping me save money! 🙂
Great site! Thanks for your hard work.
I just found out about iheartpublix from a cashier and, I have to tell you I’m so glad he said something!! before I was going to Publix.com to create my shopping list and, it was so time consuming. This spreadsheet is AWESOME!!!! I will be on this website all the time!! You have saved me so much time!! THANK YOU!! 🙂
Thank you so much! I am new to couponing and your website has been so very helpful. I am learning a lot and becoming strangely obsessed with couponing.
I think the new spreadsheet is well organized and very useful. Thanks for all the hard work! 🙂
One more idea I forgot! It would be nice to be able to save the spreadsheet and work on it all week. I can’t get my list together all in one setting I like to be able to break it up and do it throughout the week!
I like the spreadsheet, but when my girlfriend and I get together for couponing, it’s difficult to lug my laptop (and all of my binders) down the street. It’d be nice to have it both ways.
I actually have a spreadsheet I do in excel and I’d like to see a way to include taxes on taxable items and maybe overall coupons like $5/$50? I’d also rather the grocery/dairy/etc not be sectioned off. I like the coupons being listed and the option to say how many. I’m excited to see how this turns out.
I have the same mobile site issue on my mac – site always opening in mobile…
I like the new spreadsheet but it will take some getting used to
I just don’t really understand how it works.
I LOVE it! I’m so obsessive about my lists and getting organized before my shopping trips—-and this makes it so easy! I made my list for the new sale this afternoon—-worked great! My only suggestion, which has already been mentioned, is that the font is a little smaller when it prints! Thanks so much for all you do! You’re fabulous! 🙂
The new spreadsheet in my opinion is “okay” but I miss the old one A LOT because I would copy it into my MS Word and use the highlight options to help me pick out which deals I want, which deals I need coupons for and which deals I already had coupons for. I’m not very good with excel, but I guess if you stick to this system then I will have to learn.
I appreciate all the work you do to help us all save $$$! Thank you!
Yay! for Text Only option! Thanks for hearing us.
It seems more difficult to spot the “really good deals.” Maybe I just have to get used to the new list. Thanks for all of your work:)
I like they new layout. However I do miss that you can’t see the super deals when you are looking at the main list. Please bring them back!
I like the old matchup. I don’t do excel a lot. I really miss the old one!
I like the spreadsheet idea, but I probably won’t use it for actually printing and taking to the store. I have my methods that work for me and just come here to get the a preview and deal ideas that others find.
I retract my comment! my settings at work must be weird or something because this is the first time I’ve tried the list at home and it looks fine, but at work it looks really strange and everything is hidden.
I love the new spreadsheet. Would definitely love to see the checkmarks added back, or just some way of highlighting the best deals; even when I don’t have a ton of time to shop for the week, I always try to hit the best deals so that’s a fabulous feature.
I use Google Chrome for my browser. My only real issue is that when I change the quantity of an item on the spreadsheet, it does not update the price.
The other two things I’ve noticed aren’t major issues for me but I’ll document them anyway 🙂
The first is when you go to print or print preview, the Add/Remove links show up but don’t work. I’d rather not print those since they just take up space.
The second thing, again, not a big deal to me but funky nonetheless is when you are on the screen to check the items you want for the spreadsheet, then you close one section that’s fairly long (example when I click from BoGos to Bakery), the window scrolls to the bottom of the screen and then back up to the section I just expanded. I have not tested this in IE or Firefox so it might just be a Chrome quirk.
Again, thank you for all your hard work. A lot of us really appreciate it and I’m definitely happy to have a spreadsheet again (I’ve been copying and pasting into Excel and deleting out all the junk I don’t need just so I have something to print and take to the store with me)!
Happy New Year!
I love the new look. Thanks for all your hard work!
Took just a bit of getting used to, but I like the new spreadsheet.
It is so much harder to look at everything quickly. I see what you are trying to go for, but I really liked seeing all the categories without clicking on each individual one. I guess no one likes change 🙂 Could you make it so you can post the new way AND the old way?
I think the spreadsheet is great and so nice to bring shopping. I would love to bring back the green check as you said and also be able to read the text-only version to browse the deals and then switch to spreadsheet once ready! Thank you for all of your hard work!
I hope the text only version also has the old-style color-coding of store and manufacturer coupons. We need those stacking possibilities to STAND OUT!! Thanks Michelle.
I miss the old layout because i could spot the great deals easier. Thanks for all ur hard work!!
Not a huge fan of the changes (I like the old way MUCH better), but I love your site!!! So…I’ll adjust. Thanks for all that you do! Happy New Year! 🙂
i love the site. but i liked the area that you used to have of special items that were less then one dollar. i think you have it mixed in with other items in the special section but i liked it when it was on its own tab.
keep up the great work. thank you
Hi Michelle – I think its hard to get used to something new. The new system is nice, but I really like the old one. IMO, it was easier! As always, I appreciate EVERYTHING you do for us! I started following your site in February and you have helped me save so much money! 🙂
I like that you can check what you like and create a spreadsheet. It saves me from copying and pasting each deal that I like to a different document to take to the store with me and to match coupons with. The home page on one of my computers looks odd but on my main computer it shows up fine. It must be the settings on the other computer.
I love it!! I do miss the green checks and am looking forward to seeing those again! But it all works great for me and I have had no problems! I love seeing exactly how much I’m going to spend. Great work!! I appreciate all you do to help me save money!! You are awesome!
Thanks for seeking feedback and actually implementing it. Happy New Year!
i too, like the new layout, i’m on firefox…the only issue i have is that it snaps back to the top when i click instead of manually letting me click to view something.
Love your website…and liked the old layout much better.
Happy 2011!!
I really like the new spreadsheet a lot. The only challenge for me is being able to do all my planning in one session (since it cannot be saved). I have a busy 2 year old and I usually grab my planning time in little snippets when I can get it. I used to save the excel spreadsheet to my desktop and come back to it multiple times over the week. Otherwise I think the new format is fantastic!
I’m really bad with change, but I love the new spreadsheet. I do miss being able to have the text list that I can copy and reorganize so I’ll be super happy when you bring back the text function.
I’m slowly warming up to the new spreadsheet. I am not a huge fan of change, but I think in the long run it’s a change for the better. Love the text only option.
Thanks for all your hard work to save us (even couponing dads) $$$$ in this challenging economy!
Text only for me. I like the old way much better.
I am glad there will be a text version. I liked seeing all of it at once. I cant see everything on the mobile version. I guess the size doesnt adjust from side to side so I can only read what fits on my screen and zooming out doesnt help either. If I cant understand what it is from the first 5 or 6 words I just wont know what it is.
First let me say that I absolutely love your site and I have referred quite a few people to it. From what I’ve heard, they love it too! I very much like the new spreadsheet. It’s very similar to what I do by hand each week. Like a few other people though, having to do it in one sitting doesn’t work for me. It generally takes me a couple of days to get my list where I want it. However, you are the one taking the time to do all of this, so I will work with whatever system you decide on. Thank you very much for what you do with this. I work for tips and lately that’s not an easy thing to do. Your site has helped immensely!
Old one was clearer and easier to understand. Do not like the new way- sorry!
Love the “checkable” list feature. I often check the site from my ipod touch though and it’s not readable in the mobile version. Most of the time I switch to standard version. Thanks for the new features!
It just takes some time to work it into my own routine. I like it and am thankful for your help and hard work. Why would anyone complain when you do this out of kindness? May God Bless you and your family!
The only thing I don’t like is that I don’t like having to like each category. I would rather see it all at once. Once everything gets perfected it’s going to be awesome though.
I’m sure I will love it the more I use it. Thank you. Its great.
Love this site!! Its Awesome!!
I am always looking forward to checking your site & reading your tweets everyday, thus y I’m on this time of night checked my phone & had to come see how everyone’s night was going!! You do a wonderful job!!
I think it will take some getting used to but i like it. My husband has a Mac and I have a PC, so far it has worked great on both. It doesn’t seem as clean as before but i think that is just because it is new.
Thank you for all of your hard work.
either way, i will figure it out. thanks for everything
I love the new layout and how you can drop down the boxes of each section. I also love how you can check what you want and create a list from that. Thanks for everything you do!
Thank you for the giveaway, I liked the old layout much better.
I really don’t mind the categories that expand and contract. However, if I select something within a category, I would like for that category to remain open while working in another category. Also, I would like to have an option to select “all” with one click and to deselect “all” with one click. I like to print the entire list on a hard copy to work from, then narrow down my selections. Once I do this on the hard copy, then I could go into the spreadsheet and check the items i want for a condensed shopping list to take to the grocery store.
Thank you so much for the hard work!
I have not had alot of time to play around with it yet – but I am liking it. A few minor things… I wish that the designation between store and Manufacture coupons were more evident – if not by color like before then with some big icon. The current icons that designate the different coupon types (like smartsource) kind of blend together when you are looking at them from a far. Also, not sure if it is just me, but when I click on the nonBOGO category for the first time – it does some weird funny thing where it jumps to the bottom and then back…only does it for the first category you open and all the subsequent categories dont do it. Also, I think I would like it better if the whole list was not collapsed but was an option to collapse it if you want to instead of the other way around. I tended to go – “well I dont usually find anything in Deli that I need so I will skip that to save time” and I might miss something that way. If it was already open I could skim it.
I’m a fairly new reader, so I’m not married to the old layout – this one is fine.
I think the new spreadsheet is cool!
I like the text option! Thank you for hosting this giveaway!!!!
I LOVE it personally. I hadn’t been on in a while and jumped on the other day and saw the new format and fell in love all over again. It really helped me go through everything quickly. I appreciate all the work you do (so does my husband’s wallet!) 🙂
I think the new spread sheet is great, and it works fine the way it is! I can not say enough about, how much I appreciate this site, and all the long hours you put into it!
I wanted to take this opportunity to Wish you a wonderfully blessed new year!
🙂
I really like the new spreadsheet and have had no problem using it on my pc. Thank you so much for all your hard work!
So far I really like the spreadsheet! I think it is great you are doing all this work to help us! Much appreciated!
I like the old version, thanks for the giveaway.
I can see how the new design would come in handy for those who use spreadsheets. However, I am a creature of habit so I prefer the old way and I am hoping there will be the option of viewing it both ways.
I like the new version. Thank you for the giveaway!
WTG Michelle! I love the new spreadsheet. I’m glad you plan to include the green check mark for the items at a great stock up price. I rely on you to tell me that. LOL. Thanks for all your hard work!
Hi. I don’t care for the spreadsheet, but maybe it’s because it’s not working properly for me. When you click on a section, it takes a long time to pull up. Then the information opens up in one area on the screen, then jumps and moves to another, by the time it finally opens you have waited a while and the information is split up towards the bottom of the screen, so you are basically scrolling through a couple of items then there is a huge blank space and you have to scroll down further for more information. I have internet explorer. Some sections do not pull up at all, but it’s random. Very Frustrating since I have limited time to check for deals. Then I tried to print it and IE crashed on me. Of course I had to reboot, so I didn’t try to start all over again. I don’t usually have these kinds of issues on my computer. I hope this helps a bit.
It’s great!
I prefer the other format better, it was easy to read and very simple, you can see the BOGO deals then scroll down to the rest of the ad and it was quick and easy.
The spreadsheet just takes the fun out of it and makes it all business, lol. Sorry, but I get enough of that in my business life. I loved the old way.
I am new to couponing and have yet to delve into spreadsheets yet. However, I did find the previous ad matchup to be a little more user-friendly for me. (Again, I’m inexperienced!) No matter what you decide on, I’ll be most appreciative!
I like it. I’m glad you’re bringing back the text only option. Thanks for all of your hard work! You make shopping easier for me!
I love the spreadsheet. Very user friendly andorganized!!!!!!!!!!
We use Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Also uses with my EVO. Haven’t had much problem. Your site is usually very user friendly.
Thanks.
Stacy
I’m a slow adapter to changes in general, but I like what I’ve seen thus far. I I’ve not experienced any problems either. Thanks for all your hard work!
I think the new spreadsheet is very helpful. I love being able to select the coupons that I want to use. The only issue that I am having is when I click on one of the categories, the page jumps down to the comments, then back up to a blank space underneath the category heading. If I then click the category again, it collapses that space; when I click it again, it opens up properly to the items. (I use IE browser.) Overall, I think it’s great! Thanks for all that you do!!
Same with me and I am also on IE.
Well you already said you would put the text list back-which is what i miss. I am not a spreadsheet person. Although I would be willing to use it if I was able to save it some how. I do not get all my stuff together in one sitting so saving it might make it more interesting to me so I can add/adjust as I get my coupons pulled out and organized throughout the week. Love having the option to try it though!
I liked seeing the final price after coupons the old way. But, the green check marks will be helpful for that.
Im thankful for anything you do for us Michelle. You make my life easier. =) Hope you and your family have a safe and Happy New Year!
I LOVED IT BEFORE, AND LOVE IT STILL!!!! You’re doing an absolutely awesome job…2011 blessings!
I’ve been using a google doc with a table in it which has been a bear, and recently switched to a google spreadsheet. I build a grocery list by type (not quite every aisle but bath, dairy, pantry, frozen, fresh, meat — so I don’t have to backtrack too often). I like your new list but every single coupon came over…I’m lucky if I can find one, never mind use them all. Also, I couldn’t copy/paste the items into my own shopping list, or add to this one. So I guess I can’t use it. I do however make your site priority number one in my shopping list making so please, keep up the fabulous work, and do whatever works best for you! The ad previews and coupon links alone are truly priceless 🙂
Thank you so much for everything. I follow your site using Google reader, and the new format doesn’t show the list like the old way did. I think a Text Only option will fix the problem. I appreciate the ability to generate a printable list, though. Thank you for listening!
I love the NEW spreadsheet…having no problem using FF browser and OLD version of Windows XP…still playing around with it…sadly for me..having to remove many of the Q as here in my area of FLA…no competitors allowed except WinnDixie..and, NO Doubles either…on TOP of that 3 of my Publix’s have informed me MORE big changes coming first of year…
I am hoping I will still be able to shop Publix…guess will find out next week 🙁
Thanks for your great blog, it is the RSS I look forward to all the time, but I HATE the new spreadsheet, I won’t even click on it. I need the regular old list of matchups and you know as well as everyone else, there are other places to get it too – maybe not first but its out there before the sale starts. I’m glad to hear that the old text list will be available, thats what I’ll use. I’m sure you understand that us experienced couponers don’t need the spreadsheet, we have our own we use and methods that work for us.
I know how hard it is to please everyone, and I’m sure the spreadsheet is a timesaver for you, but its not what works for me. Anyway, I am a faithful follower and appreciate your efforts.
I really liked the old spreadsheet better. It was easier to use and faster. I do like the option of viewing the enitre list at once and would like to see the color coding with store and manufacturer’s coupons.
I love the concept and design of the new spreadsheet, but often I don’t have long to plan, and it is time consuming to fill in the blanks. I would like the option of a printable plain text list (or at least the ability to copy a list and put it in a Word document for later). I would also like to see all of the deals included in the spreadsheet: the Weekly Ad, the Yellow/Green Advantage Buys, and the Ongoing Deals. Thank you for your time and effort on this!
I really love this blog!!! The printable checklist is awesome and I’m looking forward to the green check mark for stock up prices!!! Thank you so much for all you do!!
I think what you’ve done is amazing! Just the fact that you’ve gathered all of the info together is a big help! Everything else is just bonus! thank you for all you do!
Just wanted to say that I LOVE YOUR SITE! Thank you so much for everything you do. The new spreadsheet is great, I really like it. However I cannot get it to print for me. I use windows 7 and google chrome. I select everything I plan on buying and fix the coupons etc. When I go to click print, nothing happens 🙁 Not sure what is up with that.
i love the new spreadsheet, the only thing i miss is the green checks! 🙂 Thank you for all you do!
I like the new spreadsheet!
Very cool with the savings and coupons total when you create the spreadsheet. Thanks for trying new things and making it easier to see.
I like it, since I’m a spreadsheet person and it makes it a lot easier for me.
oh, one more thing, it would be nice if you could select the coupon you have so when you print the list, it doesn’t print all the coupons associated to that item, it would save paper too!
Thanks for all you do! I so love getting the ads early on Monday so I am able to make my list and gather my coupons for my Wed. trips. I personally like the text option since I don’t use the spreadsheet and I love the green check mark. I handwrite my lists just because I am anal and like to be in control.. LOL!! Happy New Year & thanks again for helping us save money!
My only suggestion is to add the dates of the ad week to the top of the spreadsheet once it is printed out. I don’t see the dates once I printed my spreadsheet. Other than that, this is so much neater than my chicken scratch lol
I never tried to old spreadsheet so I cannot compare, but I did try this one. I had to unclick the “double the coupon” feature since I’m in FL. I also think it doesn’t take into account for the FL people that we DO need to buy both in order to get the second one free. I left the page to find some coupons and when I came back to add the coupons I had printed, it did not want to recalulate for me. Not sure if I just took too long.
Thanks for all you do on the website. I check it all the time thru my newsfeed in FB!
I love it. Its organized and you can find stuff easily without going through a bunch of stuff. I do agree with the person above me on adding dates.
I think an option to view the spreadsheet in the old text form would be great. I have a Corel QuatroPro program that I made that I prefer to use because, 1) the prices here in florida are usually higher, but not always, so I always have to make adjustments on thursday. 2) it is set up to figure my bogos, store coupons, manu coupons, and bogo coupons without me having to do the math! and 3)sometimes I have coupons that aren’t listed. I also think having the option of using this new spreadsheet should still be available because most people aren’t gonna spend the time it took me to make my database, lol. An option to adjust the prices would be helpful to those of us with higher prices, too.
You do an amazing job but I have to admit that I’m use to the last format and think for now I prefer it. I know however that you desire to make it simple for everyone and for that, many thanks. I’ll keep trying but for now I’m glad your offering the old format! Thanks for all your help.
I like the new spreadsheet, makes organization easier for me, thanks!
I loooove the new spread sheet. My only “dislike” is I have had a hard time telling the difference between the manufac. and store coupons, I liked the color difference on the old format. Otherwise, it is AWESOME!!!!
I like it! its nice and organized and easy!
I’m liking it too and am also looking forward to the Stockpile Checkmarks returning!
I have only recently come to your site do to the Giveaways. I like the Giveaways the best, and thanks for all you do to keep us posted on the best deals.
I am new to your site and I really didn’t use your old spreadsheet but I love the new spreadsheet!! It is very helpful!! Thanks!!
I like th eidea of the spreadsheet since I had seen them on other websites but to be honest did not like it here. The list was hard to read, the coupons hard to follow. I am sure that it was my old system but the whole system did not work for me. I am glad to hear that you are revamping it and I will give it another go.
Either way works for me as long as I still get the deals! Thanks for all the work you do!
This week is the first week I’ve tried the spreadsheet, and I’m liking the idea. The only problem I’ve experienced is that even when I put in that I have 0 of a certain coupon, it still says I’m saving the amount on the coupon. When I put in that I have 2 of a certain coupon, it still says I’m only saving what 1 coupon would save me.
I’m using firefox on windows xp. 🙂
Love it! Thanks for all the time you put into this for all of us!
Just printed it, and it is pretty cool~
thanks so much!
Love it!! I was wanting to come up with one to be more organized. This is perfect!
Thank you for your wonderful blog. I wasn’t an avid fan of Publix till I discovered iheartpublix.
I like the new spreadsheet. I have a few suggestions. The faded color applied to the coupons might not be easily readable to some. One more thing is a Select All and a Deselect check boxes. I don’t know how plausible it is, its just a suggestion.
Thanks for all of your hard work and listening to our input. I love the new spread sheet- I was just cutting and pasting on Mondays before, but this is much easier. One thing that would be great for me would be just putting the single price of BOGO in parenthesis beside the price (for one).
I like the new spreadsheet…I have yet to try to print it, so I can’t comment on that, but I do miss the red/green color combination because that way I knew what was a store coupon, and what was a mfr. q. The checkmarks were also a plus, but I can manage without them 🙂 Thanks as always for putting this together and listening to all the likes/dislikes!
I just want to say that I really appreciate the site. I think it is great and I really like the spreadsheet! It is great and helpful. I am still new to couponing but I am getting better and learning more each day thanks to your site. Thank you for taking the time out to help us all! Have a wonderful new year.
To be honest, I have not yet tried the new spreadsheet. I have my own that I sometimes use. But I do love that you are going to bring back the full text version, as its frustrating to find stuff on there the way it is now. I like to view it, then later go back when I might need to do and do a Ctrl F find for whatever I am looking for.
You have put so much work into this – it’s really impressive! There are many neat features to the spreadsheet and I especially like how customizable it is. As some others have commented, it would be nice to have the option to see everything at one time (like the way the list used to be). Thanks so much for all you do to help so many of us save and care for our families!!
Love it! I haven’t experienced any issues with it. Thanks for all you do! Your hard work is appreciated.
I LOVE the new spreadsheet option. I can just print out what I want and have. Less waste, easier to use shopping. I pay for thegrocerygame.com and love their list, but your spreadsheet may make it easier for me to shop and dare I say it, not need the grocery game list.
I do look forward to the green stock up check list and wish the super deals were included.
Thanks for all the hard work.
I love your site! Thank you for all you do, helping families save money, especially these days! Thanks again
i have not used it yet , and honestly prolly wont because i have my own way of doing things but i love the green check for stock up deals, even though i only have a walmart near me i like to see the deals you find and list for everyone
I think the spreadsheet is great! I printed it and used it this week to make my list – it made it easier to pull my coupons together. I am glad you are adding the text version back, often I ctlr-f to find items in the match up. I’m also glad you are adding the green check marks back – I realized this week that I depend greatly on those. Thanks for all your hard work!
Love it! Love it! Love it! Love only having to look at the catergories I need instead of scrolling through them all. Great Job!
I am pretty new to your site, but I love it the way it is! Thank you so much for all your hard work in helping us all!!
I would like to be able to see the entire ad all at once instead of by section. I also miss the checkmark. It looks great. Thanks.
Love the site! I cant tell you how much money has been saved by your site!
I like it. I like that it’s easy to go back to the ad and relook up a specific item without having to scroll through the entire ad to find the category of the item. Thanks for all you do!
You help me save a lot of money, so I can adapt to any user friendly system you develop. If you try to please everyone (which I know you won’t try to do), you’ll end up pleasing no one. Thanks for all you do. 🙂
I really like the new format. Thanks for all your hard work.
I think it’s awesome. It will take a little while getting used to, but thay’s whay happends in old age. 😉
I love the new version.
Thanks for all of your hard work!
I like that it narows down to 1 catagory at a time =)
I love it. I’ve actually switched from one blog’s list to printing this one. Thanks
I love the spreadsheet. You website is the bomb. Thanks for all you do.
I love the spreadsheet. You website is the bomb. Thanks for all you do for all of us.
Didn’t mean to leave 2 messages sorry. Delete last one.
It looks great! Thanks for all your hard work. I really enjoy your website.
I love the new spreadsheet! Makes it so easy when making my list and I’m happy that you are bringing back the green check mark!
I love the new spreadsheet! Makes it so easy when making my list and I’m happy that you are bringing back the green check mark!
I love the new spreadsheet! I think its a lot more intuitive. However I’m glad you’re bringing back the check marks.
I love the new spreadsheet, thanks for all of your hard work! I look forward to the green check marks because those help me tremendously!
I like the spreadsheet and the option to delete coupons I don’t have. This makes it much easier to read when I am shopping.
to be honest with you, I don’t usually like something so fancy, but I really like the changes that you have made, and am very thankful that you even do this at all. so thank you!
I saw it and was able to go thru the items. It was slow and would kind of freeze for me. I did not print it. I was not worried because I knew it was something new that would require getting the kinks out and knowing how you handle your blog, it would only be a matter of time that it would get easier.
Thank you for your time and effort to help us all. It is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you so much! I love what you have done & think the green check mark for stock ups would be great! =)
The spreadsheet is better than I anticipated/expected!! VERY easy to use. I have no complaints as it currently stands. My only wish (which I understand is probably technically impossible) is to be able to rearrange the list once personalized so as to organize it according to store layout. Thank you, Michelle!
Well its ok,I guess I was just used to seeing the whole list at once.I do miss the check marks though.I don’t really care about printing anything out, because I write it down if I need, but mostly I just remember and I will not waste my printer ink when I can just pull out one of my free pens and write something down. But its great other than the check marks.I love your site and I will get used to the new spread sheet. And thank you for all your hard work and trust me,you have saved my family tons of money,so thank you !
I could not print my list in Firefox. The print button did not work. I am using the latest version.
In Safari, I could print but I could not see how much each item would cost when I planned on purchasing more than one.
I am really glad that you have this program. TrueCouponing got it a while back but I prefer your blog.
I haven’t had any issues and I absolutely love the spreadsheet. Makes things so much easier! And I truly appreciate all of the hard work that goes into preparing all of it for us!
Need to get used to no check marks. I think what you are trying to do is great. I really appreciate all the hard work you put into the blog. I do however believe simple is better. Many people are not as computer literate as others and I believe they will have a hard time with it. As for printing it out…. I just gather my coupons for that weeks sale.. clip them in my binder and thats how I know what to get. Printing coupons uses enough ink.
The spreadsheet is fabulous, and I am so excited to finally have a smart phone where I can access your site from anywhere!
WOW! Already 240 comments. I love the hard work you put in to make our lives easier!!! but I am a creature of habit..the new spreadsheet just bogles my mind…i am thrilled beyond belief that the little green check marks are coming back:)..crazy how something so small can make someone so happy..almost like getting paid for the twelve dollar toothbrushes!!! Once again, thanks michelle for all that you do!!! Happy Couponing!!!
First, I love your site b/c I am in love with Publix. 🙂 I do not like the new format of the weekly deals. I prefer the old version. It seemed easier to follow. It seems to flow better when everything is listed together instead of separated into different, individual sections. I don’t like that when you select one category, it closes out any other category you may have had open. It would be nice if you could click Dairy and then scroll down and click Household and be able to view both areas at the same time. It would be great if you could give people an option on if they wanted to see the new ad in the new version or the old version. Thanks for the opportunity to give our opinions!
The spreadsheet is easier to use.
Thanks for all your hard work.
I think you are doing a great job thank you for helping us save money and taking the time too go this for us. 🙂
Hi there…I like the new format…the only comment that I have is when I was playing around with it, I noticed that when I changed the quantity if an item it changed automatically, which is great except for the bogo items. If there is any way that you can tweek the formula to calculate the price for only one item when you are buying 2 for a bogo deal. Other than that…it’ll just take some getting used to the new format…thanks for all of your hard work.
First, thank you again for everything you do here, I have been saving do much money since I started using your site. I never knew how much stuff I could get for freeot practically free. As for thr new spreadsheet I love it!! I love how you can edit your own and view your totals. However, printing it did not work for me but I look forward go when it does!!!
I really like the new format. I like being able to delete coupons I don’t have and enjoy the overall look of things…..BUT–When I’m clicking around getting things all ready to add up–my totals never change. On the old spreadsheet, the Excel program always kept my coupon amounts deducted immediately. This format does not. I feel like I need my calculator handy just to see my totals. It does, however, correct itself during the printing process. I just don’t like printing 4-5 times, just to look at my changes and totals. This might just be me tho. I havent seen anyone else comment about this. Thanks for everything! I will continue to use your site….You’ve given me a reason to LOVE monday!!
I love it and it works perfect for me. I use Firefox on Windows 7 if that helps any as well. As someone who is worked in the internet field for almost 10 years, I’d have to say it was very well designed. Kudos to your developer!
Thanks again for all the time and effort you put into the site.
Be sure to draw my number as I really want a new Kindle hehe 🙂
I like it the old plain way! I just like the whole thing to be in front of me at one. The new format is too complicated for me and I donn’t like it when it opens each section seperately.
Definitely bringing back the green check marks and plain text. Maybe using something like an @ or an * just so it loads faster on phones.
I love the spreadsheet — it’s great to be able to expand each section individually. Thanks for all your hard work!
I love the spreadsheet…anything to make life a little easier! Thanks for all you do!!
I love that I can look at a category (e.g. bakery, deli, etc.)individually if I would like. It makes it easier for me to be able to toggle from one category to another. Thanks for all that you do.
I couldn’t get the subsections to boot up when I clicked on them–as a result, I could read only the BOGO items at the top of your spreadsheet. I have Windows XP and Internet Explorer. Maybe it was because I usually have a slow internet connection. I use Juno Speedband as internet provider because we can’t get anything faster out here. You probably can’t help me there; that’s okay; I know you have to do what works the best all around.
I love your website!
Thanks for your Coupon Database to really help me out before I go shopping and I enjoy your BlogRoll layout as well. Thanks so much and Happy New Year!
The coupon database and the high value coupon section are my two favorites. Don’t change ’em! 🙂
I prefer the old way, but I’m sure I’ll get used to the new spreadsheet soon. Please bring green stockpile checkmarks back! I know most of my personal stockpile prices but you marking it makes them that much easier to spot when I glance through! Thanks so much! Happy New Year!
I love YOU but i will love you more if you give me those $50 *wink wink* 😉
I have been enjoying the fruit of your labors here for some time. I originally found this website on hotcouponworld. I had to come directly to the source. Your website is perfect!
I think the new spreadsheet is WONDERFUL. I know it was a lot of work and well worth it.
The only thing that I’ve had a problem with is viewing it on my IPhone. I love it on my desktop, very easy and broken down simple. I don’t think there is way to make it format to everything, so I’ll just have to deal. If we could keep both versions then that wil help for us phone users. Thanks for all you do.
I like it, but there’s one part I’m missing: you put check marks next to the “great deals” previously, but I’m not finding that on the new spreadsheet? I could be missing it though! If you could do that again, or even make a separate list (I’m pretty sure you used to make a separate list also), that would help me when I’m in a rush! I do like it though as it is more compact and organized 🙂
I can’t see but 2 comments, so I have no idea whether this has already been mentioned… For me, the yellow stars don’t stand out nearly as well as the green check marks. Besides, the green checks just seemed so much more ‘Publixy’. 8-}
Hi Michelle! I like the spreadsheet and haven’t had any problems with it. I like that it is user-friendly. I do miss your green checkmarks but thanks to you I have learned which prices are good stock-up prices so I can figure it out.
I’m a visual learner, so the video was great (watching the Mint video right now!). I thought it was awesome that I could add a custom item to the shopping list, but I didn’t have the plus sign option to click to add a coupon. Overall, though, it only took a few seconds to hand write those on the shopping list once it printed, and it was so awesome. I feel like it shaved twenty minutes off my shopping trip, especially since my items were listed by department and I didn’t make eight or ten trips across the store. Nice work!
I would love to be able to open all the categories at once instead of having to click through each. Otherwise, it is awesome!
Love your website. You have helped me save so much money. I do miss the green check marks on the super savings.
I like the new spreadsheet. Thanks so much for all your hard work!! I can only imagine how much time it takes to work on all of this! THANKS!
I like the new spreadsheet. It’s easier to get to the category that you are interested in! Thanks for all of your hard work!
i would love to actually win something for once.
I actually really like the spreadsheet, but I also like to check the site as it updates on Mondays from my cell phone, and the spreadsheet is a bit difficult to navigate on my device, so I think the text only option is great!
I think the spreadsheet is great. At first, I was frustrated with the new layout. After trying this a few times, I do like being able to look at the different categories to see what I may need that week that is on sale – instead of browsing the entire list. I like it both ways. Thanks.
I guess I am old school and miss seeing the whole list. But I will adjust and will continue visiting your site a couple of times a day. Thanks so much for all you do for us. I know you have changed my life!
I have not get used to it yet, but eventually I will. Thanks!
I love the new spreadsheet! I like the option to choose the department that I need instead of looking at the whole list. It is much easier to look at on my phone (I do mother like the mobile site). I’m happy the hear that you are bringing the green check back! I usually look at those items first. I have not created my own list to print (i just write mine on a sticky note and attach to my coupon binder). Keep up the creative ideas!
So far so good for me…I’m liking it but I would be happy to see the return of the green checkmarks but as you said you can’t please everyone. Thanks for making our lives easier and more affordable. All the best in the New Year!
This old dog is trying to learn new tricks, I will get used to it. I would like to see an “expand all” that opens up all the sections. Thanks for all you do!
I like it, but of course I have to get used to it.
I haven’t played with the spreadsheet to its full extent yet, but I love it so far. It seems easier to read and look for items. Thanks for all your hard work!
I would love to be able to open up the whole spred sheet!! Also I don’t know if it’s my computer or your system, but when i go to scroll down the page it gets hung up, then it will be real jumpy, it only happens on this site!!
I love the spreadsheet and I love that it does the calculations for me as I always seem to fight with the excel spreadsheet I was using previously. My only complaint is that I can’t close it or save it and come back to it later. It is not often that I am able to complete my list in one sitting. Maybe if there was a way to export it to excel. Overall though I am so thrilled that this is an available tool for us to use. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!!
Anything new is hard to get used to, but I’ll keep coming back. Thanks.
I like the new spreedsheet and thank you for your passion for this blog. It has truely saved me hundreds of dollars! Thanks!
I like the new spreadsheet.
I have mixed feelings about this. I like that I can click off coupons that I don’t have. But I like seeing the whole list at one time like before. Either way, you do a wonderful job getting this information out so whatever you put out each week is greatly appreciated by me. I save over $100 a week at Publix thanks in part to your weekly posts. Thanks for what you do!
I thank you for all the options we now have with the spreadsheet that allows us to customize it to our local competitor coupons, etc. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to check all items at once. I look through my coupons and sometimes buy things I might otherwise not get if the deal is really good.
THANK YOU for how much you care and for continually making improvements to make things easier for all – I hope you know how much I appreciate what you have already done!!! 🙂
Thank you for all your effort. Adding the green checks for stockpiles prices will make it even better.
Thank you for all your hardwork. I tried this last week and was not able to print. I used the spreadsheet this AM and it worked wonderfully!! Thanks a million!!
I like the new sheet, but I would like the option to expand all the categories at once. Also, I find all the coupon icons a bit distracting. Thank you for your efforts!
I find the spreadsheet most helpful, but I do miss the green checks, other then that don’t change a thing. Thanks
Celina
I like the new system, also and agree totally that the green check marks were helpful. I’m glad you plan to add them again. Thanks for doing this. My Publix trips are easier because of you. 🙂
Michelle,
I really like a lot about the new format–especially the way I can select or deselect coupons that I have or don’t. I would like it if there were a way I cd add on an item from the master list after I have already “created spreadsheet.” If I miss something I don’t want to have to start the whole process over again.
Thanks for ur hard work! Happy new year!
The green check mark thing to condense the shopping list is an extremely helpful idea – can’t wait!
I also miss the green check marks! I am still trying to get use to the spread sheet- I think once the bugs are out I will like it. Will we ever be able to view entire list/sale on spreadsheet??? I soo appreciate your efforts and hardwork on this website!! I have cut my grocery bill in HALF !!! My friends and family are amazed at my savings every week!!!
Thanks again!!
First of all thanks for all you do. you are amazing! Personally, for me, I prefer the other format. It might be because I am used to it. I do miss the green check marks a lot and am very glad you are putting them back. I have learned a lot about Publix through your site. I strongly disagree about one comment about about the coupon icons being distracting. I LOOK FOR THOSE!!!!
I love your blog and read it really regularly… I do LOVE the green check marks that is the first thing I always look for! Have a great great new year and again thanks for what you do!
I love the new spread sheet, it makes my life easier. The only thing I would like to see is if you can expand it all at once.
I like the new format. I have not played with it a lot yet. I do like the breakdown by department so that I can quickly check if something is on sale. Thanks for all of your hard work.
I love the spreadsheet.. I find it easier to make my list instead of having to copy and paste and then highlight and delete what I don’t need to be printed out! I would love the check marks back tho. But overall, so far my experience with the new ways are wonderful! Thank you for all you do!
I’m so happy you’re bringing back the green check mark!! I really like the new spreadsheet, and I appreciate all the work you’ve put into it. THANK YOU!!!
Like others, I miss the green check marks highlighting the best deals. I would also like to have it to where I can see everything all at once. I DO really like the code system that lets us know if it is a store coupon vs. manu. coupon, etc. That was very helpful this week:)
Thanks for working on all of this!!!
Teresa:)
I’m an old dog, I really like to just see the whole list and not have to click and unclick, besides I haven’t tried printing the new form yet, so I don’t know how easy that will be. Thanks
Like all others, I miss the check marks and I’m glad you bringing them back. I don’t print the spreadsheet, so I can comment on that but I do like the spreadsheet. I am new to couponing and you have helped me to larn a lot. I use to avoid Publix, now I do most if not all my shopping there. Thank you for everything you do. Happy New Year!!!
I appreciate the updating! Howvever, I really prefer to see the whole list and not have things hidden even though its probably a “cleaner” look that way…I liked it the original way.
Michelle, this is absolutely AWESOME..even with the kinks. Yea, the checkmarks are coming back! The icons are perfect. I like the printer, coupon sites, etc. I like the “coupon” down the side to let us know there are coupons out there. And the total sheet is absolutely awesome. I was using a spreadsheet to calculate everything and would have to type and transfer the info to another sheet. This does it all for me! I haven’t printed it yet but am looking forward to doing it today. I am using Windows Vista and am experiencing a small problem when clicking on the categories. When I click, it scrolls down and never reveals the items in the category. Then I have to click on the category two more times before the items will appear. Overall,to me this is minor and I can live with it the way it is! Thanks so much….You have just made my life even MORE easier!!!
I like it AS IS! gREAT JOB!!!
I like the old format better, especially the check marks. I am so glad you are bringing those back. I prefer being able to see the whole list at once, rather than only sections of it. Also for those of us over 50 years old, some of the new symbols are very difficult to see. You do great work!
I really enjoy previewing your Publix ad weekly and I absoulutely love being able to click and print coupons right from the ad. It has been such a timesaver for me. However, I just prefer to see the ad completely without having to drop down each department. Other than that , I have no concerns and am blessed to have such a wonderful couponer gathering the best deals for me weekly. Have a Happy New Year!Thank you for your hard work!
It works for me…but I do like the green check marks. Thanks for working so hard to help us all save money!
I really loved the old format. I am glad to hear you will be bringing some of the old features back. I think the new spreadsheet will work out to be a wonderful thing for most people once we get used to it and learn how to use it well. I appreciate everything to do to help so many to be able to save money for thier families. Your site has helped me a lot and will continue to be my favorite.
Thank you so much for the time you put in the spreadsheet, I guess if I would like one thing changed it would be an “expand” all button.
Keep up the great work.
My only complaint is how the sections collapse and open, I want them to all stay open so I can go down the list and click quickly. I appreciate all that you do for us, thanks!!
I hate change, but I really like the spread sheet. At first it seemed too “busy” but I can really see the benefits.
Small problem viewing on my iPhone but otherwise it’s great!
Love the spreadsheet, but I can’t get it to open on my SmartPhone, don’t know if it’s not compatible with mobile devices?
THis was actually my first time using the spead sheet and I thought it was amazing. I commeted to my husband how easy it makes everything. Nothing but praise from me.
The spreadsheet rocks, especially for a newbie like me!
I absolutely love what you do to put this all together. The time it must take to help others, I can’t imagine. Thank you so very much. I love the new spreadsheet, but I couldn’t figure out how to add coupons. It could just be me though. lol. Thank you again!
I like the new system, but am really looking forward to seeing the super deal checkmarks! Thank you for all the hard work you do for all of us!
I like the fact you’re bringing it back that we can see all of theh items for sale at once and the green check marks.
I was wondering if you could do the math for us and let us know what the price will be after coupons…I think you’ve put “as low as…” in the past. Super helpful when browsing sales quickly.
And lastly, THANK YOU!! YOU. ARE. AMAZING!!!
I LOVE the new spreadsheet. Everything feels more organized and helps me better see what my bottom dollar will be depending on what coupons used. Thanks!
i like the new system. It is nice to be able to print it and hopefully it will cut my time down in the store. I too wish we could see the whole list at once as I’m always afraid i didn’t click on something so i am constantly doing each twice. I also use it on the iphone and it doesn’t seem to work. How about an iphone app???? Thanks for all the hard work you put in.
I like the layout and design, this will keep shopping trips more organized
I like the matchups.
I think the spreadsheet is great for new or experienced users, I need help wtih organization so this is perfect for me, especially when I hit the stores with little ones and have a limited amount of time before a tantrum sets in 🙂
like it!
The new spreadsheet is great, but it would be helpful to know whether or not the price is a stock up price.
I like the spreadsheet ALOT for organizational type A me… and remember you can’t be all things to all people! 🙂
I like it, but the stock up feature would be great!
I must admit I’m not a huge fan of it. This spreadsheet seems to be more geared towards new couponers I myself have my own system and I like seeing the whole match up without having to click each department it also seems slow on my computer which is why I liked your regular type list so much better.
I love the new spreadsheet! I never used the old one because it seemed like too much work. I do miss the checkmarks but I can live without them as long as you still do the “super deals”. Thank you so much for all your hard work!
I like it! It just takes a little time to get used to something new. I appreciate all that you do to make finding deals easier for us all. Thank you so much.
I hate change, At my age it takes everything just to learn all the new tech we have. BUT I found the spreadsheet to be pretty easy and helpful. I know I will have to work with it. I think you did good. Your on the right track.
I think the spreadsheet is probably great for some people but not me. I do my own spreadsheet so it was difficult to read for me since I wouldn’t just be checking off the items I needed. This may just take some getting used to.
What I really didn’t like though was having to expand each category instead of just being able to see everything that was on sale. I understand that this way takes up more room so that would probably be a really long post. But maybe just having an “expand all” button for those who don’t want to have to choose the different departments. 🙂
i really like the printable personalized list however it would be nice if it was possible to copy and paste it. I don’t print out my list. i copy it and put it in my email and check it on my phone while i’m at the store.
I like the system! My only suggestion would be to allow an option to view the entire ad at one time…but you have already addressed this issue. Thanks for all you do!
i do like the new way the list is. however, i didn’t like not being able to see the whole thing at once and i didn’t see where i could add my own coupon and or add items that i need that might not be on sale so they could be included in my totals. chg is always hard but this system really is better, it just takes a little getting used to. 😀 and as always thanks for everything michelle!!!
I like the new system, but sometimes when I click on a certain section it becomes a blank screen and I have to refresh it to see that section.
I will like being able to see the whole ad at once. I don’t like the pull down tabs.
I love it just the way it is. Thank you for all of your hardwork! Happy New Year:)
I have not had any problems viewing it. I like the green check mark indicating a stock up at this price. So, thanks for bringing that back.
Definitely love the spreadsheet, helps me to identify great deals and figure out my OOP
I love the new spreadsheet…just wish it would show the price for multiple quantities as you update it. Thanks!
I’m not sure if I will use it or not! I have been looking at it..but still undecided.
I love the new spreadsheet- I just miss the checkmarks 🙂
Thank you for all that you do!
I like the new design, including the pull-down tabs, but occasionally I get pulled down in to the comments section while tabbing.
I had trouble viewing the spreadsheet on my husband’s Dell computer using Internet Explorer. The font was white and yellow and everything was listed in a long list. On my Mac laptop using Firefox, however, it looked beautiful 🙂
Any type of spreadsheet makes me drool a little! I love this one. It’s very user friendly and easy to read – great job!
I like the spreadsheet this way. The only thing I’m having trouble with is getting the prices for multiple coupons or multiple items to calculate.
I whole-heartedly appreciate the effort you put into providing this valuable information. The least I can do is to adjust to what ever method/format you chose! I typically make small adjustments anyway since I’m not in the Atlanta area and my coupons are often different.
Happy Couponing!
No bugs for me, but I do prefer the previous list better. I prefer just a plain old-fashioned list over a spreadsheet, but I can adapt! I really do miss those green check marks, though. Glad to see those will be coming back.
I prefer the previous list better, but everything that you do helps out so much, so I can’t complain. 🙂
I love the new weekly ad! And I love your site!! Michelle, you are awesome. You have helped us save so much money w/your deals and weekly ad info. I appreciate all you do to help others!
I was recently given the information for your website because I’m new to Publix and couponing. I have seen a few other websites that give similar information for other stores but I think your spreadsheet is fantastic! I like that I can choose the number of items to get as well as see which coupons I need. I think being new to this I have had trouble remembering and organizing the correct coupons and it is extremely helpful!
Whichever way you find it easier to send us the weekly deals is good for me. If it is in a spreadsheet format, great. You have helped us all so much. I am thankful for your time and patience week after week. Happy New Year and thanks again..
I make my own list, so I don’t utilize the spreadsheet. I do appreciate all you do and thank you for helping me save money for my family. Couponing lets me stay home with my young children and that is such a blessing.
I love your site and really appreciate the green check mark so that I can see at a quick glance which items are at stock up price. The only thing I wish your site had is an option to select items I want to purchase (including the coupons needed) and then PRINT that list. That would be a HUGE help! Thanks for everything!!!
So happy you will be adding in the checkmarks and long list option! I really missed those this week–they make it super easy for me to quickly identify the deals I want to get. Thank you for your hard work and listening to your fans!
LOVE the new changes Michelle! Thank you so much for all of your hard work! I couldn’t save the $$ I do w/out I heart Publix. Much Love! 🙂
I came here following a link for converted rice. Still haven’t found the converted rice, but there’s a lot to see here.
Oops!!! Never mind! I just realized I didn’t see the NEW spreadsheet! You did EXACTLY what I was hoping you would do!!!! YAY!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!! Hip HIp HOORAY!!!!
I miss the little green check. Thats something I look for right away because that might be an item I wouldn’t normally buy but the check mark lets me know it’s a good price and that it might be an item I can get a good deal on for donating! Thanks for ALL that you do to keep improving your sight.
I appreciate all your advice and savings all year! Your the best!
I LOVE THE SPREADSHEET!!! A couple things I noticed…
1. I like when you had the colors that with a quick look helped us to recognize the store from the manufacturer coupons.
2. I liked when you put the totals underneath to help me determine whether or not to buy because the checkmark helps, but not all the time because my store does NOT double.
3. The spreadsheet didn’t adjust the price/amount of coupons or adjust the amount for buying more than one item.

love the webiste!! helps me maintain my family. My husband had to take a much lower (in half) paying job to keep it!! This helps us not feel it so much!! Thank you 🙂
I understand what it takes to create technology for the masses, so “thank you” for taking on this worthwhile task. As with any new technology, there will be “glitches”…I appreciate the time, attention and most of all, customer service orientation you bring to this project. Thank you again..this site is phenomenal!
I love the spreadsheet and I love the site. It is very helpful to me as I work full time and this helps me get my deals together. I really did like the green check mark beside stock up items. I use Windows Vista at work and Windows XP and Windows 7 at home. I have had no issues with any computer I access the site from. I usually use google chrome to open the site up. Keep up the good work. We appreciate you!
I love the new spreadsheet. Everything looks great and I have been super happy with it. Congrats on a great new upgrade. You are such a blessing to so many people!!
Thank you for I heart publix! That spreadsheet is amazing! You know when you have chosen what you’d like and then it brings it up on the screen for you… it would be great if it what you selected could be opened in excel OR if I could cut and paste it into excel, so it can be reordered for the ‘store route’. When I did it (maybe I did it wrong) it came up as a kind of printable image that I couldn’t cut and paste etc. BUT thank you thank you thank you! Even without any more changes your website is WONDERFUL!
Love it!
I like the matchups for the spreadsheet and the way it lets me figure out what coupons are good for what deals, thanks Michelle!
Its still awesome. I am still saving and coming by to check out your blog as usual so it works for me. Business as usual!
jacksoncrisman@yahoo.com
I am enjoying the new spreadsheet and really appreciate your hard work. I do miss the checkmarks and also the red and green text to separate the store coupons from the mfg coupons.
I really like the new spread sheet.
I like the ability to of the pull down sections, so I only see one section at a time. I can get through the sale faster and easier. The only I don’t like is, not sure it could be fixed, is when you click on a section the screen scrolls down and moves back up. If it can’t be fixed, it’s no big deal.
I do miss the green stock-up arrow. That was very helpful to know that that price was a really good deal.
I like the symbols by the coupons. I know what most of the mean, but others I’m not sure of. Maybe a key for the symbols, might be helpful.
I am truly grateful for everything you do each day to help us all out. Thanks to you and your helpers my family has saved soo much this year.
Love the new spreadsheet just miss the stock-up arrow. You always do good when you create something new!
I think the new spreadsheet is great, but I do miss the option to read the whole list at once instead of by categories.
The new spreadsheet loads strangely in the mobile version for the iPhone.
The new spreadsheet is unable to be read in google reader.
The option to print with the matching coupons is great!!
Love the new spreadsheet, especially the tabs and the colors! It would be awesome if I could print the outcome to an excel file so that I could re-order the list according to the aisles in my grocery store. No problem if that’s too much trouble, I’m thrilled with what you’ve already done!
Pretty, pretty please show the price after coupons! This would make scanning/choosing deals a million times easier. Thanks for everything you do!
I’ve been waiting for you to add your spreadsheet! And you have outdone yourself! Love it! I love the comment at the end which tells you what your savings will/can be!! Thanks for everything, and i wish you a happy and healthy new year!!
this is great! love that it calculates cost/savings. i usually make my own spreadsheet, so this saves me lots of time! great! love it. do like the idea of just being able to look at the list without spreadsheet, though. thanks so much!! happy new year
I think I am with everybody else! I really appreciate the time that you put in so that we can all save money! I have an aunt and cousin who now follow you and then we tell my mom about the deals. We all loaded up one day and went together and it was so much fun and we saved three hundred dollars all together between the three of us! Thank you for what you do. I hope you realize how much you help others.
I do like the spreadsheet a lot! A couple of this on my own spreadsheet i’d love to see here so I could just use this one:
Total number of items/coupons. For those who like to not deal with the more coupons than items override issue.
Total cost before coupons, for using $/$$.
Having the GAB & YAB on each week along with the Shop here, save here would streamline list making, too!
Love it! Makes organizing so much easier!
I think the website is great and you make it very easy to read and compare savings. I think a great addition would be a feature that allows you to upload directly to Google Docs or Microsoft Excel. Thanks for your blog!
I like the new spreadsheet. I know it’s been a lot of work for you. I am glad to hear you’re going to put the green check marks back. That would be my only suggestion. Thanks!
I love this website!! Thank you so much for all you do!! I only looked at the sheet before but for me it just seemed like too much work, lol. So I would just write down my list as I scrolled through the sneak peek! I have used the new sheet and love it. I do like that there is an option for not doubling coupons and I am happy to hear that you are bringing the “checkmark” back! I would like for there to be maybe an option for true bogo? I’m in South Florida so we do have to buy two to get the sale. Again, thanks for all your hard work!
The new spreadsheet is wonderful!! Don’t worry about trying to ‘please everyone’ you do so much for everyone & we all really appreciate it all:)
Happy Holidays to you & Happy New Year! Cheers to huge savings in 2011!!
Having the long open list option would be fabulous. Also if we could be able to save our work at the end for later printing. I usually put together my list on my iPad and don’t have the opportunity to print immediately.
I can’t imagine how you must multitask every day, all day. I get tired just thinking about all you do! But I truly thank you for your enthusiasm, perseverance and dedication.
Happy New Year to you and yours from me and mine!
I love the new spreadsheet. I was wondering if the Spread sheet knows not to double store coupons for .50 or less? That didn’t come up for me yet. But I love love love having the spreadsheet. I hope it stays!
I love the new spreadsheet! I like being able to enter other items at the bottom, along with the coupons I’m using for them. That works great for rain checks I am redeeming. I was confused at first because the total on the right didn’t change when I changed the quantity. However, I realized that the total was changing to the correct price, so it’s good. Thanks so much for all your hard work!!
hi..i do not use a printable list just to save ink (frugal 🙂 ) but i’m sure those that do must love this list!
i am so thankful for your matchups i will adapt to whatever list you provide for us!
thank you so much for all that you do to save us so much money!
i have not stepped foot in a walmart to shop for food for at least a year and a half….we are so stocked up and i shop probably 90% at publix (the rest at walgreens and winn dixie occasionally) and am so thankful to be able to shop at our local little publix, support our local store and save so much for our family!
thank you so much!
happy new year!
I like the new speadsheet a lot. I do wish I could see all of it at once though but I think it’s great that I am able to print it out since by the time I get to the store I often forget all the things I’m there for-and I don’t want to miss out on using all those coupons!
All I have to say is THANK YOU! You do not have to do what you are doing! People have to complain about something! I am glad to see that you are bringing back the green check mark. Again, Thank You for what you do and keep up the good work!
I love it except that you can only look at one category at time, not a big issue,i guess i’m just used to scrolling up and down to look.otherwise no technical issues at all. You’ve helped our family so much and are my favorite site by far!Happy New Year!
it takes time to get used to it, but i think its good
I really like it!!! Thank you for all the time that you put into everything you do.
I am pretty new around here. I recently discovered you when the first Grateful Giveaways happened. As of right now I have no complaints or dislikes! I am just really grateful for all of the info that you offer to everybody!
I really like the lists you create, but I would like if your lists were clickable…..where I could click a small box beside what I want to buy at the store and then it creates my grocery list from it. 🙂
The new spreadsheet is very nice, but I use my own spreadsheet that’s set up just the way I like it, so a plain text list works better for me here. Thanks for all you do!
Whatever you do is great with me I can adjust, but I must say, I loved the old way. Change is good.
I can see how the spreadsheet could be useful, but it’s more capability than I need. I like to scan the full list quickly and print my Qs, but we don’t actually do the bulk of our list until we get the local ad in Wednesday’s paper.
I like the new list. Thanks for all you do!
I prefer the old-style text list, but I am also one of those people who writes out my grocery list and uses a desk calendar instead of my Blackberry 🙂
Honestly, the new list is really nice, and I’d be happy no matter what. I’m sure it takes so much time to update this site, and I really, really love being able to get the ad early so I can plan out my shopping, plus all of the great match-ups. Thank you! 🙂
I love the new list!! It works well and I love all the different options :). My only “bug” is that even though I say I’m buying “1lb” grapes, the price is still $0.00 so it doesnt’ really factor that in. Now granted, I have no idea how many grapes I’m going to buy and I don’t really care about the price on the spreadsheet, I wasn’t sure if its supposed to be that way or not. Oh and I use Firefox and Windows 7 Starter (its a netbook).
Anna
Change is good. I will need to allow more time for this change.
Thanks for your work.
First, I’d like to say THANK YOU for all you do for us all!!! I like the new format–very eye-appealing. However, in my area, the prices of many items are different each week so the calculations won’t work well for me anyway. (Doesn’t mean you need to do away w/it–just letting you know) I tried like you said to make the size of my spreadsheet smaller, but for some reason, I couldn’t do it. Maybe I’m not computer savy enough. :0) I like how I can print coupons even from the spreadsheet. That makes it easy. :0) Again, thanks for all you do! :0)
I think it’s great to be able to print an organized list with all my coupons. Thanks so much!
I love it! It makes it so much easier to make my list! I feel like it is a welcome change, but so complex that is discourages me. I really appriciate all you do. You do not realise the effect you have on people’s lives by sharing your time and organizational talents!
It’s really nice! I guess my only complaint is that I would like to see the entire weekly ad at one time and not have to click on each category.
I really like the new spreadsheet – especially the way it shows the coupons and the option to add/delete coupons. The problem I am running into is that when I make changes in the amount or add my own coupon, there is no way to “update” the change and see it reflected in the total spent/saved. When I click on the bottom tab to calculate savings, the changes are not reflected. I’d also like to see the font print out smaller for the coupons so that I can easily distinguish item from coupon at a quick glance. Thanks for listening!
I really like the new spreadsheet, but when I click print….nothing. I’m not sure what the problem is, but right now I can’t use this feature at all, which is a HUGE problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I like the money you save showing up in a tap. I didn’t like how the page printed out so huge, taking up two sheets of paper. That could be a printer setting, though.
I like how I can click on the category. Makes it not too much to read and not overwhelming!
I love the new weekly ad list! Feels more organized!
I haven’t had any problems. I’m on XP.
Keep up the great work!!
I LOVE the new spreadsheet {and am very happy that you are going to add the stock-up check marks to it}.
I love the new spreadsheet. I really dont have to have my list exact though, before I go to the grocery store. I know I am going to spend a little and save a lot if I use your list. So it is all good with me 🙂
Nice job! I love it!
I love the new list, it seems much more efficient! I like that you can view different categories instead of just the whole list. Thanks for all your hard work!
I like the new spreadsheet! I appreciate all of your hard work!
Thanks for bringing back the text version! I’m sure it’s a wonderful spreadsheet, but I’m just not that organized to use it.:) It’s a little cumbersome to flip through each tab when I’m use to a quick scroll through to plan my deals.
Thank you for what you do. I love seeing the ad early so that I can gather my coupons before I shop. I liked printing the spreadsheet with the coupons listed so that I could use it to find coupons that I might already have in my binder before I started printing. The one feature that I would like to see would to be able to save the spreadsheet and continue working on it. Again, thanks!
I think it’s great! The only thing I would like to see is the full list instead of having to click on the various categories.
I love it and everything you do! You make it the way you want and we will conform to that:) Thanks for everything! You have changed the way I grocery shop forever!
I am using a MAC and have no problem with the new format at all. I am able to make my own spreadsheet and print it without any problems. I am not sure if I am able to “save” it so I can refer to it again or modify it. That may be possible already and I am just not sure how to do it. I like the new format and I liked the old one too. Glad that you will be adding back the green stock up check marks – those are very helpful. Thanks for your website… not sure what anyone could be complaining about!!
I like being able to click on the items that I need each week to easily create a new spreadsheet.
I do not like the tabs for each section BUT I understand why they are needed.
Overall, I am in awe that you did this for all of us! THANK YOU!!!!
Michelle, I love your site, no matter what you do it’s awesome. I have saved so much money by checking your site daily. God Bless you and your beautiful family in 2011
I love the spreadsheet!!!! It took me a little longer to figure out but once I did it was all good from there. I have had no trouble printing and THANK YOU for bringing the green check back. Amazing at what you can get used to!
This spreadsheet boggles my mind! I love how you have it all listed out but I don’t use the savings calculator – it is amazing but I just don’t think I have time to use the savings calculator that indepth. I love the stockup notation.
I love the spreadsheet! =)
I am following your blog. Its great to see the deals along with the coupons list. Thanks
I am using Internet Explorer. I have to click each catagory 3 times before it comes up. I prefer one long list and I am glad you will be bringing that back. I make my list from the actual ad on Publix.com because there are occasionaly variations in my ad and I don’t like surprises at the store.
I like it the way it is but am glad you’re bringing back the check marks and text only versions–THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!
I really love the new system b/c it helps me get even more organized..but I have to agree that the check marks are extremely helpful too!! 🙂 Thank you!
Michelle, I for one am so grateful for all you do! I don’t particularly like the new format but I am a loyal follower so I am not going anywhere regardless of what format you are using. But I am glad to hear you are planning to give us the option to look at it the old way. I like to hand-write my list (*gasp*) so that I can organize by the store layout. Thank you so much for listening to us all and giving those of us who aren’t liking the change an option to keep things the old way. You are the best!
I love the new format!! Thank you for all of your efforts!
I am thankful for all that you do. I love that you are changing it up a bit.
I don’t really see the need for super deals section b/c you can look on the weekly deals and see what’s a good deal. Overall, my fav website for shopping for saving $ at publix
I appreciate your hard work and do love your site! I like the entire list scroll option and the colors to show man q and store q.
I like the new list. It is very helpful.
I don’t even know where the spreadsheet is. I looked for it. I must be missing something….
It would be good if it was at all possible to do a tab of the super deals along with the other tabs because some weeks all I have time for is to grab a few of the super deals and this helps to not have to comb through the entire spreadsheet when I don’t have a lot of time.
I love that you can print it. It makes it easier for me to check off the coupons I find for the products I needs as I go because I don’t usually have time to do it in one sitting.
I like the new format. It is great for printing. However, I don’t like to click on each tab. It becomes a little time-consuming when I am used to just scrolling through the ad! I am glad that you are putting the green check marks back in. Those are very helpful. Thanks for all that you do!
I honestly have no preference. I just really appreciate all you do to help everyone shave some money!! 🙂
I love that you can check the list I just don’t like having to click on each tab
I’m not one for change and I balked at the idea to begin with. After the second week I am a fan!
I love it. Happy to see that the check marks will be included. Thanks, Michelle!
I like the format and like the check mark being brought in.
I like the format. The check marks let me know the best deals and I focus on them first. So I like them. Thanks for all the hard work you do for us. I really appreciate it. Happy New Year~!!!
The check marks will really help out. Glad you’re bringing them back. I’m also happy to hear that you’ll still keep a text list, as that’s what I’ve grown used to working with and wasn’t so excited about the change. I’m sure I’ll adjust in time, but it was nice to work off of. I don’t like having to click on each tab to see what it contains.
I love this site the change looks good and I do my own thing with the way I shop and use my coupons so some features I don’t use. My first year of really using coupons has been a great and wonderful experience that I hope I get even better at. Thanks so much!!!!
Thanks for always bringing new things and innovating the coupon experience. It’s much appreciated. Personally, I find the new spreadsheet a bit too cumbersome for me. I like being able to print a shopping list with the coupon matchups but when it gets to the “removing” the coupons, it’s just too much. One thing I did find that wasn’t accurate in the totals is in the BOGOs. You list the coupons but if it’s a BOGO, you can use two coupons. The sheet only shows one, so the total of savings/spending is not accurate. Maybe there is a way to fix this, or something I am not doing correctly. I think with a bit more tinkering this feature will be super helpful. Thanks, I heart Publix!!!
You just need to adjust the quantity on the left-hand side. Michelle lives in the land of half-price BOGO, so she only needs to buy one. If you live in true BOGO, you just change the quantity of the item, and the quantity of the coupons to whatever you need.
Glad to hear you’re bringing back the text only option. I prefer to paste and copy the items I want into Word and modify from there. Thanks for your work! Happy New Year!
I love the spreadsheet. It is easy to use, I can check for coupons, update quanities and get a good idea of what I will spend and save. Thank you for doing all the work ot help us save money.
It works great for me…makes things a little easier at the store 🙂
I like the new look of the website although I don’t use all the features I like the shopping lists and the green check marks for stock up items . I think you should also include diffrent color checkmarks for great deals and things that people use most often thank you for the great work you do on all your blogs I am signed up for all of them and they are great. I think that the abiility to make a printable version of the shopping lists with the coupon matchups included is a great idea.
I am new here but I greatly appreciate the hard work you put into helping the rest of us to do the best and most efficient job we can in taking care of our families and finances. Thank you so much!
I have Fiefox & have no issues at all. I love love love your new spreadsheet & being able to print my shopping list from your site. Before I was going to another site to do that & thanks to you & your wonderful spreadsheet/shopping list I can get everything from your site now. Thank you so very much.
I use a Mac. I don’t like having to click on each tab for each category. When I do, it automatically scrolls down to the bottom of that category. It may be more user-friendly to not have those tabs but to just list everything. Otherwise, it’s great! Thanks!
Liked the old one … love the new one! Keep up the good work!
I’m very excited to hear that there will be a text-only option. That was my biggest issue. I like to make my own list with pen and paper and my own abbreviations so the spreadsheet format was really hindering my process. As always, thanks for keeping things fresh and new.
It’s great. Thank you for all your hard work!
I actually love the new spreadsheet! The only thing I would like a little more is to be able to open up all the different subtitles at once. (Like dairy, meat, produce, etc.) There might be a way to do it or maybe that was one thing that was going to change but either way, I like it! Thanks for all your time and effort!
Love the new spreadsheet! You make couponing so easy! Thanks so much!!
I think the new spreadsheet is great. I appreciate all that you do for us!
I like the new spreadsheet. I also like the long list with the big green check marks. Either way is fine. Thanks for all you do.
On my monitor the coupons are indented from the product, but on my printout they are all in the same column. I wish the coupons were indented so the products were easier to see when I’m shopping.
I would also like to see on my printout, which coupons are store and which are manufacturers, so I can make sure I grab both out of my envelope when I’m at the store.
I love the spreadsheet the way it is! It is a HUGE help to me when making my list, and I am so appreciative to you for the time you take to make my shopping for deals easier!
i like the long list with the check marks best. I am always timid about trying something new technologically speaking!!! But, I am willing to try to use the new spreadsheet–anything that helps me continue to save moola is good for me. Thanks for all your work!
I love the new spreedsheet. Thanks for all you do.
My office has IE6, unfortunately. They’re going to be upgrading at some point but it has yet to happen. I can’t view the sale at all in IE6. It would also be nice to be able to see all the categories rather than having to click each to expand/collapse. Please have the text option available – it was great!
I love this site. But I dont care for the cumbersome nature of the clicking to get to the category as it resets or scrolls my page then unclickign coupons etc.
Theresa
I love the spreadsheet!!! the only issue I have is that I can’t go back and forth between the list and the spreadsheet to add additional items I may have missed my first look through. Also, I would like to be able to save my “working” list so that I do not have to sit and do my list and my coupons all at one time. I would like to be able to come back to it if I need to. Overall, I LOVE it!
I just printed for the 1st time and really didn’t like the way it came out. The coupons are aligned so it looks, at a glance, like they’re products. This confuses the Left Brain members of my family, whom I sometimes send to the store. Also, it cut off some of the letters on items I added.
The items pre-entered come out pretty large and bold, which uses more ink and paper. Items I add are regular font, which makes it more difficult to distinguish them from coupons. (KnowwhutImeanVern?)
That said, this is a wonderful idea and I know everyone is ever so grateful for all the time and effort you put into this site and continually looking for ways to make our lives easier! God bless you and yours throughout the comng year!
Honestly…i never saw the old version or the new version…..with that being said i do love your site and all the tidbits of wonderful information….Love that you take so much time to keep it going and always giving your site addy away to anyone in line who wants to see how its done….Thanks for all the hard work ya do!!!
Not a fan. Print looks odd and the text list was easier to use.
It’s worked amazing well for me, and I’ve tried it on both a Mac and Windows XP, as well as on Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Safari. All worked like a charm. Some people just don’t like change.
I absolutely love it though!
I like most of the new spreadsheet. I don’t like the fact that when you click on a category it scrolls to the top. It seems unnecessary and a little confusing. Other than that I like the lay out, colors and fonts. I haven’t tried printing it out yet. I love your site.
I like that when it prints, it is a small font that doesn’t use much ink (Ink is expensive and I go thru a lot!) I hope you develop a tab that lets you look at the whole thing at once intsead of in the categorys (bakery, deli, etc.) Maybe it’s already there and I just haven’t found it yet.
I really like the new spreadsheet, especially being able to indicate which coupons I have for the items. I’m not a huge fan of having to click and unclick to open each category, but that is a fairly minor issue to me.
Thanks for all you do!
I’m not a fan of the new version, but I see you’re already adding a text only option and that makes me happy! Thanks!
I love it. No complaints.
I like being able to select departments such as dairy. It was useful when I wanted to search for yogurt deals. I am glad you are bringing the green check mark back. It helps those of us that are new to this.
I like the new weekly deal list in theory, but I am very glad there will be a text-only alternative as well. The new one doesn’t show up in the feed (at least when I read it via Livejournal) and there are a few things I like to be able to do with text-only (like seeing the entire list all at once). But I really like the ability to make a comprehensive list with just a few clicks! Happy new year!
New gadgets, new gimmicks is a marketing technology. I am trying to avoid paying for that at the supermarket. I don’t want to pay for the new packaging, the new product that is essentially the old one with a few changes. With every
change I reread the packaging which takes more time from my life, as if there isn’t enough taken by the media. Simple is ez, and choice is better.
In short, the plain text option works fine for me.
Normally I am not one for change… but I actually like this new one!
I think there are pros and cons to the new- the main con being we are just not used to it- that will change-but with the text version its basically the same as it was so i think everyone should be happy!
I love the concept and set up of the speadsheet. Its easy to use, easy to follow and organized so nicely. However, when the quantity is changed for each item I intend to purchase or I change the coupon amounts I’m using, the cost amounts don’t auto update. If they could that would be so awesome!
No big “cons” for me either….just getting used to the features, etc. I do like the green checkmarks, so I’m glad to hear they’re coming back. Also, the TEXT ONLY option is good so we can see the entire ad by just scrolling down like we used to. Thanks so much for all that you do! 🙂
I would like to see more matchups with the flyers – I always feel like I don’t utilize them enough and miss their deadlines –
Yeah for the green check marks!!!
I want to be able to save this list and work on it through the week…I tend to take breaks while studying for FB and I Heart Publix–don’t know which one I like better! No matter what, I apprecaite all the help you give with not only slashing my grocery bill, but being able to stay out of that “W” place!
I think it is really neat, but am looking forward to the text only version so I can see the whole ad at once and the green checks coming back!
I check your site as well as a few others as needed. I use Chrome so I do have to switch to Explorer to print coupons on some sites.
I love your blog and look forward to your e-mails.
I like it but look forward to the green check marks!
I’ve played around with the new spreadsheet but for me just having the text was easier.
I actually like the spread sheet, finding it all helpful. thanks again
I used it last week and was thrilled with it. I was copying and pasting the sections of the matchup that I planned to use that week this is the same but so much easier. Thank you and happy new year.
It’s still to early to be sure but I think that I like have the text as an option. I think that like to browse the ad before committing to what I’m going to buy.
I like the new spreadsheet very much! I also like having the text only version because it is much easier to view from my iPhone. The spreadsheet is very difficult to read in the mobile version but I love being able to check items and print the list from my desktop. I did have trouble getting it to calculate my totals when I changed the quantity number. Not sure if I was just doing something wrong or if it was a problem with the spreadsheet. I only tried it once and was short on time right then. I was using Internet explorer. This is a great time saver though and overall love the spreadsheet! Thank you.
i’ve gotten so many great deals from you, thanks!
I like the idea of the spreadsheet. My problem is that I am still on a dial up connection for internet. It takes SOOO long to load for me. I do like the new TEXT ONLY version. It doesn’t take nearly as long.
I like the idea. I have to get used to it. When I got to the part where you had to choose your coupons and the number of items I wasn’t prepared to fill it all in because I had not gone through my coupons yet. Maybe bringing back the text version will help me with that because then I can pull all my coupons, then go back and print the list. Maybe if there was a way to save it that would help. Or maybe a way to print it in a smaller font so I can print it with all the possible coupons listed, then pull coupons I have and go back and print the list for shopping. I hope that makes sense.
the text only version is still easier for me to read and print. the buttons for the coupon sources would be easier to read if they were just letters in a bubble of color, for example if smartsource was a white bubble with SS in it instead of the full words… the words are so small on my computer that it is hard to see them.
I like it alot!
I like the new spreadsheet, but I’ll be happy to see the green check marks back. Thanks for all your hard work!
I’m a creature of habit so it will take some time for me to get used to…but ,so far I like it. 🙂 Thanks for all you do!
I likethe spreadsheet and love the green checks because even though I have been couponing for a year there are some items Iam not sure of good stock up prices and that really helps. Thanks so much for all you do!
The new spreadsheet was confusing at first, but like everything you get used to it with practice. Thanks for all that you do. Every week I look forward to seeing the new ad that you post. Thanks:))
The spreadsheet is great, I just used my print out tonight when I went shopping.
I love the theory behind the spreadsheet but not the execution of it. I, like others, don’t like how you have to click in and out of the different categories but the biggest change I would like to see (if it is even possible) is to be able to save our list to work on throughtout the week. I just don’t have the time to work on it all at once. Also, I would like to be able to change the prices that you have listed since our prices here in Florida seem to always be higher. Thanks.
I LOVE the spreadsheet!!!!! Thank you so much. This is going to be such a huge timesaver for me and I love that it lists all of the possible coupons. It is very user friendly and I also like that I can add items to it as well. You are the best!!!!!!!
I like the new spreadsheet. When I tell friends about Iheartpublix they always say its overwhelming but I think the spreadsheet is user friendly.
If I had to choose one, I would go with the text-only version. My habit has been to copy the entire text-only ad, print it out, and then cross out stuff or add in new stuff with a pen. I have three young kiddos and it’s nice to have something portable that I can take from room to room or work on over the course of three days, instead of sitting at the computer to make my list all in one shot. Also, I tend to find extra things to do when I’m on the computer already — so I try to be deliberate to not “sit in the chair”, because then I can’t get stuck in the chair.
However, that is not to say I don’t like the spreadsheet. I’ve used two now and they work out fine. It’s easy to use — as long as I have the time to sit in front of the computer to do it.
Thanks for all you do!
New to I heart. Love the site! Thank you for great help!
Thanks so much for the text option and the spreadsheet. My mac didn’t update the prices in the columns when you change quantities…not sure if it’s the program, or more likely, user error! 🙂
I really appreciate all of your help getting the best deals at Publix! Thanks for all of your time and hard work!
thanks for all your good couponing
Thank you for your website.
I love the new spreadsheet! It is a great way for me to personalize my shopping list. I will be glad when the check marks come back. I think the little coupon icons are a little hard to distinguish.
I’ve only used the new spreadsheet once, but I liked it. I like how you can change the prices and delete coupons you don’t have, but is there a way to add coupons that maybe you don’t have listed or one like a $/$$? Also, it would be nice if you could rearrange the list because I usually make my list in order of how my store is arranged so I don’t miss something on my list and have to go back for it. I do my shopping with a two year old and like to get out of there as quick as possible!!! Also, thank you for all you do with this website. I am a full time nurse and my husband is a real estate agent, so we pretty much are on a one income budget and dealing with huge financial strain. There are 3 of us and a fourth due in April,so couponing has definitely become a necesity for us!
Hi, Michelle!
I totally respect the new spreadsheet, but at present I prefer the text version. Mostly that’s because I already have an Excel spreadsheet that I made for my grocery list, so a printable version via the internet is not necessary for me. I enjoy my spreadsheet because it allows for several stores at once and it also automatically calculates my price per unit ($0.194 cents per ounce of raisins, etc.). After I shop I go back through my grocery list spreadsheet and make any changes (“true it up”, you might say), then copy and paste that info into my Price Guide. But back to the new spreadsheet on your site– in the text version I like to “surf” the list. I don’t normally buy things in the Bakery or Beer/Wine category, but I like to scroll through and scan for the green checkmarks and things that have lots of coupons listed. I fear now that I need to physically open the category I may jut skip it (out of my human laziness) and thus miss out on some nice deals.
So there you have it, silly reasons, really! I know we’re all a lot like the mouse in that book “Who Moved My Cheese”. But your efforts (and your thick skinned attitude in dealing with our comments!) are awesome! What would I do without I Heart Publix?!
Thanks!
Terri
PS: 2 years ago my couponing allowed me to drop from full time to part time at my job. This February I plan to quit!! So you have made an AMAZING impact on my family! Bless You! 🙂
Thank you so much for adding the text only version. I tried the spread sheet but having to click in and out of categories was for me , a bit much. I like the idea, but I guess I will stick to my habitual ways!!!! Thank you for all you do.
My first time using your spreadsheet today and found it very user friendly.
I loved the fact that you could remove coupons that you were not using.
Thank you so much for all your hard work!
Love the new spreadsheet. And have used it already! You are wonderful for doing this for us! Thank you.
I love the spreadsheet. For a newbie like me, it’s a perfect way to see how a spreadsheet works and makes it hassle free for me. Eventually, I’ll probably make my own spreadsheet but for now it helps tremendously. It actually shows me how much I’ll be saving and makes me want to stay on this saving “adventure”.
I like it and find it easy to use…although I think it will take me awhie to get used to it!
I hate change. While I appreciate all your hard work, I liked the old way better. I don’t print out a sheet when I go to the store.
I like both ways. They are both easy to read, understand, and use. I always print a list before I head to the store! Thanks for all that you do for us couponers!
Thank you for adding this new spreadsheet. You’ve made it alot easier and alot quicker to prepare for my shopping adventure. My husband says I am addicted. I tell him I just LOVE saving money. I am a full time working mom with 2 children and a stay at home dad. So saving money is my number one priority.
THANK YOU!!
I love the new spreadsheet and I love your site. You save me so much time every week. You have helped me save sooo much money and I thank you! Happy New Year!
I like the spreadsheet a lot. It is very easy to use and saves me a lot of time.
Lovelovelove the spreadsheet!! I love going through and checking off the items I need then going back to make sure that I have the coupons. What a great idea. THANKS!
I like the new spreadsheet and how everything is in categories. I don’t usually print a list because I try to save ink and paper for coupons. Thanks for all your hard work!
I like the category breakdown on the spreadsheet
Definitely this spreadsheet is great for couponers of all levels-thanks
I like the spreadsheet format as it eliminates my need to use another site which I only use for the spreadsheet. However, I agree with others that the drop down boxes are cumbersome.
I like the spreadsheet, but I’m pretty new to this site. I’ve been couponing for a oouple of years, took it lightly last year and want to ramp up this year. Love my Publix and I plan to camp out at your site lots more. :o)
Thanks for the improvement. Not clear on how to add other lines for my regular grocery.
I love the new spreadsheet, but I wish the totals on the right calculated automatically when I changed the quanities. Just a suggestion as it makes it easier to see the actual charges and savings 🙂
Glad to hear you will be bringing back the green check marks. Other than that I like the new format. It doesn’t take up nearly as much room on a page as the old format.
Love the new spreadsheet! Makes it easy to see what coupons are available and how much you are saving! Love it!
Since I don’t live near you, my prices are different so I don’t use the spreadsheet and I find the new layout is not for me. I like to see the whole ad at once, and with the new layout, I have to keep clicking on each department. And if there is not a coupon, the item will not even appear on my screen, I just get the icon thingy that shows BOGO but nothing else shows up. While I realize you can’t please everyone, one of the reasons I follow you was your layout style, it was perfect for those who don’t have a lot of time and could skim the ad very quickly but this new layout is taking me a lot more time to read and get the info I need. I am waiting with my fingers crossed for the updates and changes to be made; hopefully they will be beneficial to me. 🙂
I really like the spreadsheet. I used to copy and paste to word then use that to clip the coupons each week, but the spreadsheet makes it even easier. I don’t use it to add up my purchases, so I can’t comment on that part. I didn’t really read the instructions before I started using, so I didn’t realize that I could delete the coupons I didn’t have until just this past week and I am beginning to see the brilliance of the spread sheet. I am REALLY grateful for the postings period, so however you deliver the information is appreciated! For now though, I am loving the new spread sheet. Thanks for hosting!
This is such a woderful addition! Thank you for making my list easy.
I really like it so far!… I have mine ready to use on Monday. But i really think it will be great!
I love it!! I used to copy and paste or try to write it down now I dont have to. Thanks.
I like it and I am looking forward to using all throughout the year and holding myself accountable to keeping track of all the deals! Thanks
Love you Guy’s you do a wonderful deed for all us couponers, you will truly be blessed for all your hard work. LOVE IT!LOVEIT!LOVEIT!
I love that you created a printable shopping list so now I don’t have to go to another site anymore just to do that. The only problem I’m having is, whenever I create my spreadsheet & go in to change the quantity of an item & coupon and also add coupons you don’t have listed, I click on calculate savings & nothing. So what I have been doing is doing it myself but of course, the total spent/saved at the bottom is different and I have to change that too. I have no issue doing this myself like I have been for the past year but if it’s suppose to work this way, which I am unclear about, then that’s my only issue. I have FF by the way. Thank you for your hard work. I do enjoy viewing the weekly ad & being able to create my shopping list all on your site. 🙂
This is great! I love it…especially being able to add other items & coupons so I can get a more accurate total.
The only things I would change are formating changes to reduce the amount of paper & ink used in printing the spreadsheet.
1. I would make the columns for the qty & the price smaller (they only need to be about 1/2 their current size). This would allow more space for the product description column.
2. I would also change the print for the coupon description so it’s not so large or bold but still have a noticeable difference between the product info & the coupon info.
These changes together would not only cut on ink used but paper used because the product descriptions would be reduced to 1-2 lines per item instead of the 3-4 it is now.
3. One last thing…I would make it so the added items print in the same type as the the pre-entered items so all the items I am buying are easy to identify.
Great Job…much better then any other I have seen so far. 🙂
Of course it is hard to get used to change, as I am a fan of just the plain ol list. The only thing I do not like it that you have to click on each category, and then the computer does this crazy scroll thing and I have to keep scrolling down to the bottom to where the category list actually starts. OTher than that, I am learning to adapt to the new list!!! No worries for me… it all serves the same purpose!! Thanks for all you do!
I especially like the Quicken version – I like to make my own shopping list. The green checkmarks on the great deals are wonderful, as I am not good at remember what the best deal is! Thanks for all you do.
I love that you can add your own items to the list. It is also very nice that expired coupons show up as such, and are crossed out to prevent accidents when putting together your shopping list. I never used the old one (I didn’t ever realize it existed, I guess!) so I cannot compare them, but I’m glad that you drew attention to it again so I am now able to utilize it in the future. Thanks! 🙂
I think the spreadsheet looks great! I can’t think of anything that I would change. Great job! I love your blog!
At first I was a little freaked out over the new spreadsheet; it was the end of a long week, I had a lot to do with only a little time and, frankly, I don’t do well with unexpected change. However, now that I’ve had the chance to really look at every thing that is new and what can be done I think it’s really cool. Thanks for changing things up!
Change is always a little scary, but anything that will save me some time (i.e. creating a shopping spreadsheet just by selecting the item) is OK with me! God Bless You Michelle
I do not like change on the computer! LOL I am computer challenged. 😉 However, I usually only use the super deals anyway so I am OK at this point! I will figure it out though as time goes on. Thank you so much for everything you do. I hope that your new year is a very very Blessed on! Thanks and God Bless All!
Like many others have said I’m sure, I’d love to be able to save the list and work on it throughout the week.
I find it a little funky that bogo items show up at half the price. I understand it’s so you can put the quantity as 2 and have the total show up correctly, but I think that it should just be the full price as you are really only buying one.
I tried to use it this week and it didn’t go well for me, but I’m willing to try again 🙂
Thanks for trying to do this–I have been tryin on my own to simplify and automate the process but yours is far better than what I have been able to do!
When I practiced developing the spreadsheet a few days ago everything calculated as advertised. Yesterday when I tried to do it for “real”, the spreadsheet wouldn’t calculate my changes in quantities to change the prices.
Please hang in there with this a while longer–it will be a boon to couponkind! Happy New Year!
I love this website and so far I have not had any complains. I know that you have alot on you and it just blows my mind how you can keep up 2 websites (I heart Publix and I heart saving money) and maintain a household WITH 2 little kids. I have little kids and a full time job so I feel like I am overloaded all the time. My hats off to you and I personally feel like you are doing a fantastic job.
I think it’s great! I love your site and all the perks in/on it. I’m going back to work fulltime next week and I will be relying on the spreadsheet even more in the near future 🙂
The new spreadsheet was VERY helpful, I love it! Thanks!
You have no idea how much your website has helped me out saving money. I have told so many of my friends also and we are all saving money now. Thank you a thousand times over.
I’d love a “Select All” button so that I can just bring all the items and matchups into the spreadsheet – that way I know I won’t miss any of the sale items because I’ll have to literally delete everything I don’t want.
I love the new spreadsheet. At first I was thinking ‘this is not for me’ as i am not very computer savvy, and just the word ‘spreadsheet’ was scary, but I tried it and I really enjoyed playing with it. I have used it twice now to make my list. It is very user friendly. I like that I can go in and remove coupons that I do not have and add one that I have and you do not. Keep up the good work.
Formatting changes like the ability to pick your font/font size to save ink.
At first I hated the change, then when I sat down to use it and actually watched the video, I thought this is cool. But after I went through and made all my changes, (qty amounts and coupons) nothing updated in the total column when I clicked calculaet savings. So I was unable to print my list. Good think it was a short week for me, or I would have been pretty annoyed after doing all the work.
I currently used the old spreadsheet you posted with just simple excel fields. I often go back to my list serveral times before going shopping, so this format wouldn’t be useful to me unless I could save my changes and go back to them later or export them into Excel. I don’t know how well it works, for others. I’m in IE 8 and use Windows 7.
I appreciate you trying to make this user-friendly. Thanks. Hope everyone can be satisfied at the end of the day.
I like the spreadsheet, but cannot get the calculations to work after I change the quantities. I have tried both Firefox and IE. Using W Vista.
