Today’s the day to send in your questions for Ask I Heart Publix! Your questions can be about anything – basic couponing information, how to use the site, finding coupons, other ways to save, whatever you’re curious about! Every Wednesday I’ll answer 10 of your questions.
Keep asking, and we’ll keep answering! Email your questions to contactiheartpublix at gmail dot com. If it has been a while and your question has not been answered please resend – right now we’re averaging about a 3-4 weeks wait.
Also, if you’d like to be featured on the Reader Spotlight, you can also email the idea for your post (or your completed post!) to contactiheartpublix at gmail dot com.
Hi Michelle-I am not sure if you could use this, but do any of your other readers use a Crock Pot to save money? I just got one as a Christmas present and have saved ALOT on dinners already. Maybe others have other ideas for saving money with a Corck Pot or another form of cooking that uses foods that have coupons like soups, etc. Hope you are doing well!
That’s a good idea. I work full-time and there’s nothing better than coming home to the smell of dinner already DONE! I find it’s also a good way to stretch meat….cook a roast or other large cut in the crockpot with veggies and a can of soup (french onion or cream of mushroom), then shred or cube any leftover meat and use as the basis for soup, fajitas, etc.
Hi – I love your website and have been able to save so much money over the past year with your help. The one place I can not save money for the life of me is on paper towels, toilet paper and soft drinks. What do you find is the best way to purchase these items for the best savings?
Thanks!
I’m trying to get my house reorganized because my home is so small my stock pile is overtaking it! I have a small garage and my hubby is giving me some of the shelves to move my stuff downstairs. I’m concerned about items like crackers, box cake mixes, etc because of bugs. Hubby is going to spray the outline of the garage to keep bugs out. Do you use your garage for storage and what would you tell me NOT to put out there?
hello, my name is danielle i am a young mom to 4 kids, 3 dogs, 4 new puppies, and a husband. i run a business here in south florida. and i’ve always used coupons. but this year i’m really getting into the sales, coupons etc. thats my new years resultion is to use my coupons alot more, and to keep up with the deals. i love your blog and thank you for doing what u do. i do have one little question i want to start a spread sheet to keep up with the budget that i gave myself so that it will calutate the totals etc for me. can you help me?
Thank you for this awesome site!! I have been dabbling in using coupons for several months but find myself unemployed for the first time ever so this is really important now! I have two questions…several times you indicate there is a coupon at Target.com but when I go there, I can’t find the coupon. It doesn’t look like changing the zip code matters. Am I missing something? Second question is, you mention peelies sometimes but I NEVER find them. Does this depend on the store?
Thanks again for all you do!
Carie
HELLO>>>>>>>>>>I would like to know is there a place that I can go to look up an item to see if it is on sale somewhere?????Anywhere???Thanks Shirley
I have the same request as Danielle above. Do you have a spreadsheet that we can use to track our spending. I started couponing a year ago. This year I would really like to have a budget. I have saved my first 2 receipts from 2011 and would like to get started. Thank you for all you do.
