Well guys this week I hit several stores. I really didn’t need much this week so I had planned to just grab a few things (planned being the key word 😉 )
Each year my husband’s company gives him a $25 Kroger gift card so I decided to go spend it. I ended up doing pretty good. I found Tyson boneless skinless chicken for $1.79 a pound so I ended up getting a bunch. I figured I might as well…since the gift card was free money.
Since 2010 is almost over, I am going to tally my yearly totals this weekend. I can’t wait to see where I am at with my budget. I have a feeling I may be under budget this year. If that is the case I plan on spending all of it the last week of 201o! I can always find something to buy…maybe a bunch of Ovaltine?!
So this week I spent $61.56 for $202.52 worth of groceries! That means I saved about 70% this week and I still have a $5 Target gift card to use later!
As you can see I was able to snag 9 bags of Starbucks coffee for my husband. He was just thrilled to see that big ol’ bag of coffee! I also splurged a bit and bought him two packages of his favorite Nutter Butter cookies & wafers…it was his birthday after all –tee hee!!
Here is what I got this week:

I also got the $50 iTunes card, Glad garbage bags, Angelsoft and a Covergirl item for a total of only $42!!!!!
Can anyone tell me if the iTunes gift card is good for the iphone apps? I think we are going to buy new phones for Christmas and I might as well save some money an all the apps we will want.
Yes. u can use the gift cards in the ap store. Get ur phone Tomorrow (12/11) at best buy for Freethis is the first time a company has offered to do this for the iPhone. I read on engadget today.
I will be going to the store(s) on Monday. I think this will be my biggest week ever. I have been couponing for a few months but havent had a lot of money to actually buy and also didnt have the coupons. Now I have a printer and have ordered coupons, plus what I have on hand. I get food stamps and using the coupons has made it possible to make them stretch farther for my family of 8. I am so greatful for all the hard work you put into this website. It has helped me get more for my family with what we have. I have been able to stock up on many things. I look forward to how much I will be able to get this week and expect a pretty long recipt. I look forward to coming back and posting my total here. =D
I spent $4.24 for $112.11 worth of groceries, saved $107.87 = 96%

My store accepts Sweetbay coupons and recently they have been mailing $10/off 40 coupons out regularly.
Does anyone know if publix deducts the $40 before the b1g1 free sale or after?
For example, if I buy $40 worth of stuff for b1g1 free and it costs me $20, will they deduct the $10 from the $20?
I know the registers only show me that there is a total savings and a total owed.
For example, if I buy $40 worth of groceries pre b1g1 free and use for example, $9 worth of MQ’s and then then $10 from sweetbays will they ring it up for 1 dollar?
My store calculates it post-sale prices, before coupons. I hear different stores do different things, so just call your store manager to ask for clarification. 🙂
Just got back from publix. This is my best week yet: $420 worth of groceries for $144! =D
