I am about to start the gift wrap-o-rama. I am still waiting for a few gifts to come in but I think I am officially finished shopping. So…it is time to start wrapping presents.
My oldest asked me what I wanted Santa to bring me for Christmas–tee hee! It got me thinking…I wonder what others are wishing for this holiday season!
So…what is on your wish list this year???
A Publix gift card for $100 would be WONDERFUL!!! It would really help my family out right now since we are living on one income.
Leah, we got a $100 giftcard in the mail today from some contest I must have entered months ago. I hope you receive the same!
Was this from Quaker? I got one today but it does not ahve the amount on it that I won,
Mine was from Conagra “Pool Party” from this Summer!
Oh, Ok
I wish I knew how much mine was for. There is no number to call or anything guess I will find out the next time I go shopping. Anything is better than nothing.
Just present it to the customer service desk, and they can tell you how much it’s for.
I would love it if God would provide a way for me and my family to adopt the 2 beautiful kids I met in haiti.
My best friend found out today that her baby will probably not live to full term. (She has Trisomy 13/18 problems with the brain, heart and kidneys). All I want for Christmas is for the doctors to be wrong and for her baby to live. π Sorry for a grim wish, but this truly is ALL I want for Chistmas.
I understand Cathy, our DIL is carrying twins and one of them is much smaller than the other.
I’ll be praying for your daughter in law, and for your husband as well. Merry Christmas.
Thanks. I will praying for your friend. A friend of mine was told her baby was downs and was born perfectly healthy so doctors do make mistakes.
Lana,
I have 15 month old twin girls and one was IUGR (she was much smaller). If you have any questions or need encouragement I would love for you to email me! I remember like it was yesterday how worried I was and would love to talk to you! My email is kaciebr@embarqmail.com.
I will be praying for your friend. I know from the heart what she is going through. I lost a beautiful baby boy in 2008 due to trisomy 18. I hope for a miracle for her little baby.
Thank you. I am so sorry for your loss, Lindsey.
We will pray for your friend. One of my friends just lost her baby to trisomy 18. Hugs!!
To be out of debt.
to be a stay at home mom.
That’s what I wish for too!
A job for my husband, unemployed for 6 1/2 months. Also, safety for the twins our DIL is carrying. I don’t need any stuff!
What humbling responses. I pray u all get what u need.
Agreed. I was about to list something completely trival compared to all of these wishes. May God bless each of you!!
Dear Santa,
I want a bind it all scrapbooking tool !
love,
leslie
I want my kids to have a happy Christmas full of happy memories.
I want a fabulous food processor.
First and foremost, I want continued health and happiness for all of us.
I’d love for my brother to be able to visit us (he lives in Utah, we live in FL). He hasn’t met my twinnies yet!
I want a coupon clutch!
Tickets to an Orlando Magic game!
I have a friend who was diagnosed with liver cancer last week. I have a friend who told me today her mammograms (2 now) are spotty. She will have a biopsy on Dec. 23rd.
I would love a Christmas miracle for both of those families. Not from Santa, but straight from the heart of God.
Wow Rachael, I had a biopsy last month after a spot was detected on my 6 month checkup during an ultrasound. I was so thankful that I had the ultrasound since they also did a mammogram and it did not show up on there. Thankfully my results were negative, but I know that stress your friend is going through. It was the longest 3 weeks of my life. I wish your friend luck and just remember breast cancer research has come soooo far and it is very beatable now. Good luck.
I want Santa to wrap me up someone tall, white, rich, and handsome!
Just what I want, too! Though like Rachel M said above, not from Santa from straight from the heart of God. π
I would really LOVE LOVE LOVE a positive pregnancy test for Christmas!!! We have 2 boys ages 7 and 2 and we’d really like to complete our family by adding a girl! I’ve been having mentrual issues since the birth of my youngest which is making it extremely difficult for us to time a pregnancy. Prayers would greatly be appreciated.
I also wanted a Shark Steamer which my wondeful hubby secretly already got me!
Can Santa heal my son’s autism? I wish!
Kelly–There is a product out there that is total nutrition that having great results with autistic kids! Do some research on the Moringa plant. There is documentary on you tube that the Discovery channel did on this plant. I have personally seen it help so many things. My niece has severe cerebral palsy and since she has taken ZIJA her limbs are so much more pliable and she is much more alert, not to mention it has helped my dad to get off his insulin, my mom off back pain meds and bp meds, my husband is no longer on 15 tylenol a day, my family has lost a total weight of 156 lbs in 3 months. My son is focusing more in school now!
I know that this isn’t a site to advertise on, but when you hear heart wrenching stories and you feel like you have something that God made, I feel like I would be doing you a disservice not to share!
You can look at the products on http://www.marybethainbinder.myzija.com If you want to see more testimonies you can go to Zija international on Facebook
I hope that this can help some! I pray that you all have a Merry Christmas!!
If I had to ask for something…Dyson vacuum, dishwasher, new mattress…why can’t I find these at a yard sale π But, I’ll settle for the new Publix that is opening tomorrow!
hmm, we have a new Publix that is opening today too. Would the new store be in Warner Robins
Yes! Love it π
I would really like a professional digital camera. I have been taking a digital photography class and having a blast but I would love a nicer camera so that I can take even more photos!
I love my kids and hubby with all my heart and they are third in my life, next to God and Jesus… But I would REALLY love 1 afternoon, at the Ritz Carlton, in bed after a long, long bath, with magaznes and then a in room movie and then a beautiful nap, waking up in time to have dinner with my hubby and kids. BTW, while I am enjoying my afternoon, they are off at a museum , aquarium or???? In the end a great day for all!
For my husband to feel no pain in his back anymore and be able to run and play with the kids.
Has he tried chiropractic? I have a bad back and have since I was 15 (I’m 36 now) and was dropped from the top of a cheerleading stunt with nothing to pad my fall. Chiro has done wonders for me. More and more insurances are covering it too. In the interim, Backaid Max is currently on sale for $3.39 at Publix (it wasn’t signed at mine but IS on sale) and there is a $1/1 MQ for it. That product definitely helps me get through between adjustments (I go every 3 weeks or so). I surely hope one of these two things helps – I know his pain well.
He has degenerative disc disease in three of his lower discs and they wont do surgery on him. He also has spinal stenosis. Just a bad back all together. Thanks for the suggestion though.
My husband has a few herniated discs and stenosis also. He goes to the chiro once in a while, but usually just takes pain meds. He also got one of those inversion tables and that has helped some too.
Kristin,
Read my comment a couple of posts up under Kelly. My husband has degenerative discs as well and Lortab would not touch the pain, so he was taking 15 tylenol a day, going to chiropractor. Within 1wk time after drinking Zija, he was no longer taking meds! This is truly an answer to prayer!!!!!!! My mom was also on 3 back pain meds a day and after drinking ZIJA, she is no longer on it.
You can email me at mbajam@msn.com and I can tell you how to get the product wholesale or you can go to http://www.marybethainbinder.myzija.com and pay retail. This is not just a sale. my husband is a preacher and our hearts are to help people. Just look it up! They are so sure of this product, they offer a 100 percent money back guarantee!!! My husband was very skeptical but because he was in so much pain, he agreed to try it, now he is sooo glad that he did!!!
Go to you tube and watch Russ Bianchi about Zija (he is the formulator of ZIJA and Kashi cereals along with alot of the power bars out there) and look up Discovery Channel documentary on Moringa (This is the plant that ZIJA comes from
Employment for my husband. Health insurance for the family. And miracles for all the other health problems for the dear people listed above and below.
I too would like for my husband to find employment, he has been laid off now for several months (in construction) and since I am now with a temp agency (after losing my job of 36 years) we are on individual health insurance & it is not cheap!! Thank God for this website that saves us so much money!!
I am so sorry to hear about your family struggles. I too was in construction and was laid off last May. I was one of the lucky ones and was employed again 5 months later but now I work in car insurance and am soooo greatful I can’t even tell you. I know things will work out. Just be open to a career switch it may be the best think to happen to your family. I will pray for you and your husband. Have a wonderful holiday season.
Thank you so much for the kind words. There have been so many wonderful things that have happened to my husband & I as we have gone through this journey. Merry Christmas to you!!
I just want God to bless me with patience. I also want 2011 to be a way better year then the last three. If Santa could throw in 2 jobs for me and my fiancΓ© that would be great too.
I just want my 14 year old boxer dog to make it through the holidays….
He isn’t doing good, and the thought of losing him around Christmas is killing me! I lost my other boxer 2 years ago around the holidays also, we had to put her down on Jan 2nd due to a brain tumor.
I don’t have children so these dogs are my kids!
I just need more time with him……that would be the best present ever!
Oh gosh, Stephanie! My heart goes out to you! I hope you get your gift!!! *hugs*
We lost our Boxer this year also, I feel your pain! They are the best dogs ever!
My heart goes out to you. Two years ago we lost our male boxer to heart failure right after we lost my husbands Grandma. Our female is 12 and going down hill poor thing and I don’t think I can handle losing her and neither could my son because they sleep together! I hope you baby makes it through the holidays and you get more time with him!!!
A finished thesis so I can receive my M.S. degree as well as the hope and optimism I used to have (pre-grad school)
I wish that all these requests could be granted, you are all wonderful and unselfish with your requests. If I could grant them I certainly would.
I want a Coupon Clutch and a stand alone upright freezer! π
I wish for my family to stay healthy. For my husbands job to stay busy enough that we can continue to pay our bills, I can continue to stay home with our 3 year old and we can continue to afford to keep my brother on as an employee. I wish for my SIL’s employer to figure out if they do or don’t have a position to keep with their company, especially since they just bought a house and had a baby in March. At least keep her on part time so she keeps their health insurance. I wish for the economy to turn around so there won’t be so many homeless families and jobless people.
My Christmas wish would be that losing weight helps with my PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) and that my husband and I can finally start a family. All my friends around me are pregnant at the same time right now and it’s been really hard seeing all of them planning for these babies. I’m SO happy for them, I just wish I knew that the medical issues weren’t hindering us.
Laura,
I have PCOS too and have been going to fertility doctors. It finally happened “the natural way” for us when we weren’t really “trying” or thinking about it. Don’t be discouraged. Losing weight will help… even as little at ten pounds. Try taking a vitamin D supplement 1000 mg at least and drinking apple cider vinegar diluted in 16 oz of water x3 a day (helps with insulin resistance). If you drink caffeinated drinks, switch to decaf. The month I tried this regimen it happened. Google these for more info. It will happen for you just wait and see.
To have a second child. I have everything I need: a wonderful husband, a delightful 3-year-old son, and a satisfying job. I’m ready to bring another little one into our family!
A new printer! Mine just crashed,,and I am missing so many coupons!!!
mine too! but i wish everyone a happy & healthy holiday season & a great 2011
I would love to find a job with a Dentist or Orthodontist as an assistant. I was laid off last year, the week before Christmas, & attended a training school from Feb to May, where I received a certificate as a Dental Assistant, & ever since I completed it all the Dentists/Orthodontists around here want somebody with 2+ yrs of experience. I am a single mother & would love a fresh start. I was in the F&B industry, which is my fall back, but I missed the 1st 10 mo. of my son’s life & don’t want to miss anymore. I know God has the right job lined up for me, I’m just waiting for Him to reveal it. What really hurts though, is knowing that my “problems” are so small compared to the other countless homeless people, including children, in this world, with the numbers rising in America. So I guess my wish is really for those people to receive a miracle & when it is God’s time to bless me I’ll be waiting with open arms.
Now I’m in tears. π
I hope all of you get the wishes and miracles you and your family and friends need.
God Bless you all.
I pray that each and every one of you get your Christmas miracles. God has been so good to me! My list is trivial and is the same every year.. coffee, socks, books, & pjs. My hubby thinks I am nuts but my wishes are simple for I have been blessed with the most precious of gifts; my husband, my sons, my parents, my sister & her family and my home. Merry Christmas to all!!
All I want for Christmas is that the US can get back on its feet and all these wonderful people can have their families wishes granted. Thank you Michelle for all you do and all you have done to help us survive these tough times!!
The things I want aren’t big (insert sarcasm here) – just for my husband to be happy with his job, to get my daughters ADHD/sensory issue under control, spend more quality time with my hubby… you know, easy things. LOL
But when it comes to tangible items I’d like more fuzzy socks to keep my feet warm in the morning and a handyman for the day. We have so many little things that need to be done around the house that my husband just hasn’t had time to get to. I’m sure that will have to wait until tax return time though (if we get one this time).
Merry Christmas everyone!
I also wish for a new job for my dad. He took a nearly 50% pay cut after his company was bought out and my parents have been in turmoil ever since. My sister is in college, my mom is in college, and my grandmother is currently in rehab after a serious car accident. My parents have a lot on their plates and the financial troubles just add to that. If my dad could find something better, it would be such a burden lifted from them. He has no college degree, but he has 30+ years of sales and management experience so I hope that someone will step up and give him a chance.
OK, when I saw this post, I was thinking, I want a new pocketbook – hard to get a bad one, and, like most men, my husband is lacking in the ideas area!
But after reading all your posts, I wanted to share a quick story that happened to my family three years ago. I have always been the main wage earner in our family – we have 3 kids -and made 6 figures working in education. I lost my job in October of 2007. I couldn’t find anything for months, but we held on, searched and prayed and put our faith in God. I was unemployed all of 2008, and finally found a little part time job at a local McDonalds that started at 4 am. The Christmas of 2008, we asked the prayer team at church to pray for our family as things were getting desperate. We recieved a disposess forclosure notice in March 2009- we had 10 days. Literally the next day I had a job offer, in my field. We were able to save our house and I am still at the same job now. So, for those of you who are having a hard time, I definitely believe in the power of prayer and in helping each other.
Having learned how to be a super saver when times were tough, we’ve continued now that we are ok, and have quadrupled our donations at church and to charity.
Merry Christmas to all!
My dream holiday is one day of no fighting, no death, and no destruction. And one more day with Brian who died 20years ago on Christmas Eve fighting for this wonderful country. If you see Brian tell him we miss him and that we think of him daily. Thank you for all you do May everyone have a joyous Christmas and Happy New Year. Here is to a better 2011 for all
Your post gives me tears. I am so sorry for your loss. I (along with others I am sure) appreciate your loved one fighting for our country.
I would love to have steady employment. I have been layed off since the end of May this year and my husband has been working 2 jobs to keep us afloat. The loss of my job not only impacted our immediate family but also the woman who had watched both my boys full time. She is struggling to keep up with her bills as well do to the loss in income from us. We have been able to keep the boys going to her part time, so I am able to look for work and to keep some money flowing her way. I just received today a request for two interviews for part time work, so please say a pray for me that I will get one of the two positions. It would be great to have a job before Christmas. Thank you Michelle for all that you do.
Wow – what great responses. I too, was thinking of more tangibles like a real stand up mixer for all of the cakes I have started making. But far more important are those intangibles that mean so much more. My mom is terminally ill with metasticized breast cancer which has now spread to her organs. My sister and I are trying to honor her wish for all 5 of her grandchildren to enjoy Disney World with her. My Christmas wish is that she stays well enough to make it and enjoy our trip this spring.
God bless each and every one of you and Merry Christmas to all!
My Christmas wish this year is for a healthy happy baby. After 3 miscarriages in the last 18 months, we are finally pregnant again and everything seems to be going terrifically. I am now just over 8 weeks, but have already had an ultrasound and was able to see the baby’s heartbeat. Go Baby Go!
What a blessing! God bless you and your family! Go baby!
Congrats! I know what you are going through, try not to worry and hang in there. It is the best feeling to see that heartbeat!
I wish for the drama queens in my family to make peace. We’re grown-ups.
I am just so grateful for everything I have been blessed with this year. My daughter was able to get her adenoids removed with no complications, no tubes, and no tonsillectomy. My dad almost died from a routine colon surgery and spent 3 months on life support but praise God will be home for Christmas even though they said “IF” he made it he wouldnt be home before February at least. I found a new passion when I had a miscarriage in July. God has really been at work to salvage our family through all the trials and tribulations and I just pray for love and peace that surpasses all understanding because during the holidays….LOVE PREVAILS
For my baby to stop getting ear infections!
Asking God to bless and heal my WHOLE family. My granddad is having surgery to remove colon cancer today to be exact. My 4month old son has ear infections in both ears. MOnday I got a call from my husband (who was out of town looking for jobs/employment)that he was going to the ER. He has been there in the hospital ICU for complications. I have a cousin going for surgery tomorrow to have breast cancer removed. My blood pressure has been on the rise since the birth of my son and the stress of not having income coming in and everything else. Please pray with me to keep faith and believe that God can do any and all things. Oh jobs for both me and my husband would be next no other gifts needed.
I would love gift cards… nothing other than gift cards [preferably to Publix and Ross]. I have been blessed with a great boyfriend [soon to be fiance I hope], a wonderful family, understanding friends, and my waitressing job. It may not be the most glamourous, rewarding or high paying job, but I’m just grateful to have a job. My life is far from perfect but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s my Thanksgiving/Christmas wish all in one :}
Wishlists Sorted by Popularity: http://todddunkel.com/amazon_wishlists.html My wife and I LOVE Publix… π Clean, and a fun place to shop!
