Happy Friday everyone!Β I am very happy that it’s finally Friday as it’s been a very hectic week.
Coming home from vacation is always hard. There are always a million things to do to get caught up. I expect to be behind for a while…laundry, shopping and just catching up on emails can take a couple of days. BUT…when you come home and get sick, a few days turns into a week or more–ugh!
Yep, we got home on Saturday and I woke up that night to terrible stomach pains. Of course I just figured it was something that I ate and assumed that a few minutes in the bathroom would resolve the issue. I was wrong!
I felt absolutely terrible the whole next day and it kept getting worse. Oh you guys, I have never had stomach pain like that in my whole life. I have had two c-sections and the pain I had a few days ago was WAY worse! Stomach pain, nausea, chills, bloating and then diarrhea. Of course I did what everyone says not to do…I started looking up my symptoms on the internet and everything seemed to point to appendicitis. The only thing that didn’t fit was that my pain wasn’t specific to the left side…it was across the bottom of my entire stomach.
Tuesday when nothing was any better, I decided to go to the doc. They checked me out and did a few tests and the doc came back saying that there was definitely an infection somewhere. She said it could be a variety of things and couldn’t rule out appendicitis so she gave me antibiotics and nausea meds to start. She told me that if I didn’t start feeling better, I had to get a CT the next day.
Thank goodness, I did start feeling better! I am almost back to normal at this point…but even more behind now! So I am not sure what the issue was for sure. It could have been bacterial, parasitic, appendicitis or as my friend insisted…diverticulitis. Just keep your fingers crossed that there isn’t a repeat occurrence–I have way to much to do to deal with that again π
My plan now is to try to get caught up this weekend. I still have my Christmas decorations up so I may not get everything done for a while….but, it will all get done at some point–right?
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. If you have shopped and want to share your weekly totals, leave a comment!

Oh Dear! That sounds terrible! I am glad it is nothing serious though. Boy, every time I get sick, it really makes me appreciate the good health I do have most of the time. You just have to surrender to it and rest, there is nothing else you can do. Prayers you will be back to 100% soon!
Glad your feeling better.
I’m glad you’re feeling better! Get lots of rest this weekend! I made a couple of small trips to Publix this week and used coupons for the first time in months.

So sorry you were feeling bad! Glad it didn’t happen while on vacay. So much better when you can go to your own doctor.
