Now Gone!
You guys know I am a huge avocado fan. Well the folks at The Amazing Avocado emailed to let me know that they are offering a coupons for a FREE avocado for people who “like” them on Facebook. After you like them just click the FREE coupon tab!
Now I just need to decide…guacamole or a sandwich??
coupon is up and running. It opens up in a .pdf file.
Wooohoooo!! 🙂 I’m so excited about this.
It doesnt expire until 12/31/10!!
How many can you eat?
Why does it matter how many I can eat?? I can eat 3.5 months of free avocados worth, lol
It says good until 12/03/2010?
And it says one per visit?
How many avocados can you eat between now and December?
Between now and Dec we could go through a whole lot of avacado’s between sandwiches, guacamole and just eating them.
Oh yes!! Agreed!! 😉
Do they sell these in Publix?
Publix will not accept IP coupons for free items 🙁
My store does.? Maybe a different store will take it?
Mine does
Where can I use this coupon?
Gone already! I just checked and it said they reached their 5,000-download limit.
It’s dead already……reached limit of 5000
How can they reach a 5,000limit if there aren’t 5,000 fans? Just asking!
i’m thinking fans unlike them right after printing or they sent the bricks links to other people.
It wasnt bricks, its was a pdf (no print limit)
probably multiple prints then.
When it is PDF they have no way of knowing how many times people printed them.
Not 5000 fans! Good thinking. Too many other weird things about the Q, too. But, I didn’t download it because no store here takes Qs for “free” items.
I unliked them after reading on the wall how the spelling was off on the Q and the fact it said store coupon, not manufacturer.
This was a scam. I am going to unLike them so they don’t have any access to my information on facebook. The coupon is a fraud.
How do you know it was a scam?
There is misspelling on the coupon. It says “Store Coupon” on it. It is a PDF and the facebook page said there were only 5,000 prints, which they would have no way of knowing. The facebook page is not consistent because it redirects to another site when you search for it. Read the page that the link directs you too. You will see how many people realize it is a fraud.
Actually its not really a misspelling… more of a grammatical error if that makes a difference?? Coupon said “receive” instead of “received” but other than that it looked legit as can be! I saved the pdf link just in case…
Did you see that the MHAIA is a real group?
http://www.avocadocentral.com/avoworld/who-are-the-associations/mhaia
Yes, but the facebook page is only claiming to be them – it does not authenticate the coupon.
I copied this from the linked (from iheartpublix post) FaceBook page under links/discussions. …
Wendy Schoggins The Amazing Avocado: How come the real Avocados From Mexico website is different than the one linked here, http://www.avocadosfrommexico.com/Index.aspx
and that page links to a different Facebook page, not this one?
I’m thinking maybe this isn’t the official page?? and coupon is probably not legit!?
Avocados from mexico – Avocado recipes – Avocado nutritions facts – Mexican recipes – Guacamole Dip.
http://www.avocadosfrommexico.com
Avocado Recipes, prepare guacamole, salads, sauces and dips. Nutrition facts and benefits, Calories in avocado. Ripen and growing avocados.
If you click on the facebook icon on the avocados from mexico page it goes to that facebook, so I’m not sure what that person is talking about.
It looks like the same one, but look again. That is what I am talking about. It is not the same website. The coupon is likely not legit.
Go from http://www.theamazingavocado.com and click on their facebook it is the same one that offered the coupon.
theamazingavocado.com has a full page ad in the Oct 2010 Real Simple, so if this company truly is a fake, they’ve gone through a whole lot of money to make fake coupons.
My guess? It’s Mexico, and they probably don’t know much about coupons.com, smartsource, etc. and about terminology for coupons. Perhaps they think store coupon is appropriate so someone doesn’t try to use it at a farmer’s market. Who knows?
I didn’t get the coupon, but I’ve gotten plenty of legitimate coupons that were suspect looking in the past, so it’s not the first time something was weird.
The 2nd Facebook has this reply to a question about the coupon: Avocados from Mexico We both support rich, creamy tasting Avocados From Mexico, but this coupon is being handled on The Amazing Avocado Facebook page… so you might want to post your questions over there, they can better answer questions about this program!
Will someone please send me the pdf file? I would love this coupon as my daughter is addicted to sliced avacados and tomato sandwiches. My email is SamanthaLDecker at gmail dot com. Thank you
Me too…Just got home…LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM and so bummed out. I love Avocados and they are so expensive here…would love a few free one. Thanks so much. 🙂

My publix only had USA grown Avocados.
Try Bravo instead of Publix as it caters to Hispanics and generally their limes and Avocados are from Mexico we have them here in Florida not sure about else where. Also their limes I get usually 8-10 for $1.00 and much of their produce has a better price than other stores you just have to compare as this may be true in my area and not yours. I do notice that their limes, avocados and such say product of Mexico.
