I ended up going to the store twice this week. I had to go on Monday just to pick up some bread, milk and fruit as I had planned my big trip for Wednesday (I ordered my Smart Balance Milk and was to pick it up on Wednesday) When I got there it had accidentally been sold 🙂 oops! It worked out fine –of course my store was happy to give me a rain check. So, I will pick up my milk this coming week.
I guess it was for the best as my total was already a bit higher than usual. I still did pretty darn good. This week I spent $56.12 for $181.32 worth of groceries. That means I saved 70% this week! Alot of the things I bought will go into the freezer/stockpile to be used over the next few weeks. My big canned storage unit arrived today so if I can talk my husband into getting it put together, I will work on organizing my upstairs pantry!! I know once I go through everything, my shopping will be a bit easier!! I will post some pictures once I get it all done. Can you tell I am excited?!

Thanks to coupons, rebates, and gift cards for the month of September I spent $148 and saved $1,171!!!
Just a quick note — at the Mirror Lake Publix in Villa Rica, the store manager on duty this morning (10/2 @ 8:00 a.m.) told me you can’t stack a competitor, Publix and MQ on the same item. Even though I told him the other manager told me I could and I’ve been doing it for months, he said you can only use a MQ and either a Publix or Competitor. He said it’s up to each individual store manager and that they lose money on those coupons. I got the feeling he wasn’t very coupon friendly, so I just did what he said. I’m going to go back to Sunday mornings since that manager knows me and is much friendlier.
I spent $20.93 for $237.00 worth of groceries, saved $216.07 = 91% (it was a good week!)
