Michelle,
I tried something new this week, thanks to the pork and BBQ sauce that they gave me:) I put the pork rib roast, along with a good shake or 2 of garlic & onion powder, and S&P, these could be left out if you don’t like them, into the crock pot and turned it on low and let it simmer all day, then pull the meat out onto a plate and pour the stock into a separate bowl. Then shred the meat and put it back into the crock pot(which will be very easy it should just fall apart:) add BBQ sauce to taste(i used one whole bottle for almost 4lbs of pork). I usually end up adding some of the stock back to help loosen everything up( any remains freeze nicely and you have a great flavorful start to your next soup!!)if you want to go a little lighter on the BBQ do intervals of bbq, stock, bbq, stock, ect, until you get the taste you want. Then add some veggies and a bun and your in business:) Can’t wait to hear about how you do your squash…we love it(especially my 9 mo old)!!!!
