The holidays are coming up fast. That means it’s time to break out your best appetizer recipes to feed all your hungry holiday guests.
Of course no one wants to be stuck in the kitchen prepping and cooking while family and friends are visiting. Luckily, with tasty options like Mike’s Hot Honey Roasted Pecans that you see above, you can serve up HUGE flavor without a ton of effort.
Now, these are not your ordinary roasted pecans. Crazy easy to prepare and insanely addictive, the sweet heat of Mike’s Hot Honey takes this snack to another level of goodness. And because we like things hot here at my house, I make the recipe using Mike’s Hot Honey – Extra Hot.
Just be aware that one batch might not be enough! You might want to double, triple or even quadruple the recipe… these babies always disappear fast.
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 2 tbsp Mike’s Hot Honey (or Mike’s Hot Honey – Extra Hot for an extra kick!)
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine pecan pieces and honey and stir until pecans are evenly coated.
- Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 15 minutes, checking that they don’t burn.
- Let cool and break apart.
If you want to kick your snack game up a notch, use a few to make a Hot Honey Pecan-Coated Goat Cheese Log. Between the rich, creamy goat cheese and the sweet heat of the hot honey pecans, this is a match made in snacking heaven.
Just chop about 1/4 cup of the Hot Honey Roasted Pecans and place on a shallow plate. Roll the goat cheese log in the pecans, pressing gently so they adhere. Toss out some crackers and you have the makings of a tasty treat that is sure to please.
Now is the perfect time to grab a bottle (or two) of your favorite Mike’s Hot Honey variety. Look for the bottles on sale as part of the Publix Extra Savings flyer valid 11/6 to 11/19.
Mike’s Hot Honey, 12 oz, $7.99
Founded in 2010 by Mike Kurtz, the brand was born from a desire to create and share the highest quality honey infused with chili peppers. Mike began drizzling his signature hot honey on pizzas at the Brooklyn pizzeria where he worked, and customers started to ask if they could buy bottles to take home. Now you can find the bottles on store shelves nationwide, including your local Publix!
Don’t miss your chance to grab a great deal. Head into Publix and grab plenty of that tasty honey for all YOUR favorite meals and recipes.
YUM! I was just wondering whether I might need that 2 pound bag of pecans from Costco. Looks like I do.
Yep… this time of year I probably blow through about 5 pounds (or more!!)
Enjoy!
Pro tip after batch 2, spray your mixing bowl and measuring spoon with cooking spray so the honey glides right off and doesn’t stick.
