Most of us start out the week with a plan to make lots of healthy homemade dinners. But, by the middle of the week, life sets in and dinner plans are often tossed out the window. Busy schedules and juggling lots of responsibilities means that healthy eating can sometimes be put on the back burner.
That’s why having a couple of options for easy meals towards the end of the week can help you stay on track AND even help you save money by skipping food delivery and take-out! For me, the key to those easy meals is keeping my kitchen stocked with pantry staples like delicious and easy Knorr Sides.
While they are amazing for a quick and convenient side dish, my favorite way to use Knorr Sides is as a quick meal starter. Each package has noodles or rice plus all the seasonings you need to create something tasty. Just toss in your favorite protein and some veggies and you are on your way to any of a dozen or more delicious meals.
Now I like to get creative based on what I have handy. But if you aren’t feeling inspired, don’t worry. Each Knorr Sides package has a recipe printed on the back and there are lots more on Knorr.com.
Soup is one of my go-to meals when I need something hearty in a pinch. And Knorr Sides make it easy to create spectacular soups with ease. Just gather any fresh veggies you have on hand, some broth and your favorite Knorr Sides and you are on your way to a delicious meal in a flash.
Who needs a canned chicken noodle soup when you can whip up my Short Cut Chicken Noodle Soup? In less than 30 minutes, you can give your family a tasty meal that’s loaded with great taste AND packed with veggies. In my world, that’s a winning combination.
The best part is that you can easily adjust the recipe based on whatever you have handy. Swap out the carrots for sweet potatoes. Don’t have celery handy, use zucchini instead. And in place of the fresh spinach, try kale or just pull out a package of frozen spinach from the freezer.
And since you don’t have to spend time gathering and measuring out herbs, spices and seasonings, you won’t be stuck in the kitchen all night. That one package of Knorr Sides is packed with all the flavor you need to serve up great taste with less stress and less effort. Definitely a good thing when you need a home-cooked meal after a long, busy day!
